Emblem3 Were ‘On Cloud Nine’ Making ‘Chloe’ Video

It looks like Emblem3 might just have what it takes to be the next big pop stars.

On Friday, the former “X Factor” contestants performed their brand-new single, on “Good Morning America,” and in less than a week, the music video for the single (the band’s first clip) received more than a million views on YouTube. Pretty impressive for guys who were relative unknowns this time last year.

The video for “Chloe” shows off the trio’s SoCal vibe but delivers a strong message. When they recently stopped by MTV News, they admitted that the clip brings the song to a whole new level.

“I loved the video — it made the song really cool,” Wesley Stromberg said. “That whole day we were on cloud nine.”

The group, composed of Wesley, his brother Keaton Stromberg, and Drew Chadwick, shot the video, which was directed by Ray Kelly, last month in Los Angeles. The clip focuses on a series of shy girls, outsiders to the popular crowd, who pass along buttons that say “I’m a Chloe.”

The buttons encourage them to realize that inner beauty is what counts. The video ends with all the Chloes coming together for an Emblem3 show.

“When we were onstage with the whole crowd scene, that was cool because everyone was bumping and jumping and rocking out to the song,” Wes said.

But as much fun as that was, the guys most enjoyed the scene in which they were able to let their inner rock stars out.

“My favorite scene is when we were trashing the dressing room,” Wes said. “We literally trashed the dressing room nine times. I was throwing glass at a mirror and was like, ‘This is wrong.’ But it felt awesome.”

The guys are now gearing up for the release of their debut album, Nothing to Lose, which hits stores July 30. That leaves their fans just enough time to learn all the lyrics before catching them as the opening act on Selena Gomez’s Stars Dance World Tour.
