Selena Gomez Breakup Track Leaks With Mysterious Voicemail: Is It Justin Bieber?

Lips have been flapping about the on-again, off-again relationship between pop stars Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, and Tuesday (July 9), those lips got something to sing along to when a song from Gomez’s upcoming Stars Dance leaked two weeks ahead of its drop date.

Gomez has already come out and admitted that the track “Love Will Remember” is about her breakup (or, rather, one of her breakups) with Bieber, and when the song hit the Web, it featured a voicemail sample that sounds suspiciously like Bieber professing his love to the pop star.

“Hey babe, it’s me,” maybe-Bieber says over the strains of a dramatic piano. “I just want to call and tell you that I love you so, so, so, so much. I just wanted to let you know that you are my princess. You are worthy of all the love in the world. You are the love of my life.”

The jam then begins, and Gomez forlornly sings, “You said you loved me/I said I loved you back/What happened to that?”

“There are moments you want answers but you’re glad you’ve experienced them,” Selena said in a Google Hangout in June, when talking about the Rock Mafia-produced track. “At the end of the day, love will remember.”

“That’s the most personal track on the record, for sure,” Gomez told InStyle in May. “I think it’s a sweet way of releasing it. It’s not an aggressive approach to what people are probably expecting… I’m sure he’ll love it too.”

Although some have spoken to the contrary, it seems that the leaked breakup track is still accurate, in that the pair remains broken up.

As for official word from Selena, MTV News has yet to hear back after reaching out to her camp.
