Beyonce Joined By Jay Z Onstage At Final Barclays Center Show

Beyoncé had already performed a pair of concerts at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, with nary an appearance by her husband — and former Brooklyn Nets stakeholder/eternally proud Brooklynite — Jay Z … but all of that changed Monday night, at the third and final “Mrs. Carter” show date at the sparkling new venue.

Because, midway through a brash rendition of Jay made an unannounced cameo on the Barclays stage, and, as Bey took a seat onstage — and the sold-out crowd went appropriately apesh — he delivered an impromptu performance of the Magna Carta track “Tom Ford.”

Beyoncé didn’t stay seated for long, though, rising to her feet to deliver backing vocals on the song — it’s one of several Magna Carta tracks where she’s credited as “Third Ward Trill” — then planted a kiss on her hubby’s cheek. The two then slowdanced out of the spotlight, Jay departed with a wave, and Bey went right back into “Bow Down” without skipping a beat.

Jay, of course, christened the Barclays last year with a run of eight shows, and brought out Beyoncé on the last night.

Monday’s date marked the end of the first leg of Bey’s massively successful “Mrs. Carter” tour. She’ll do a run of festival shows in the UK (and headline one night of Philly’s Made in America festival at the end of August) before taking the show to Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. But, she’ll return to the states at the end of the year for one more run of “Mrs. Carter” dates … which, coincidentally, comes to a close with another Barclays’ gig on December 22.
