‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Adds ‘Arrow’ Star To Cast

Now that we know who will play Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey’s moms in the big-screen adaptation of it’s been confirmed that “Arrow” actor Dylan Neal has signed on to play Ana’s stepdad.

Neal will play Bob Adams, the fourth husband to Ana’s mom, Carla (Jennifer Ehle). Entertainment Weekly reports he will begin filming his role next week. Production is currently underway for the highly anticipated flick, with filming having kicked off on December 1 in Vancouver with Jamie Dornan (Christian) and leading lady Dakota Johnson (Ana) on set.

Casting for the movie version of E L James’ best-selling novel has gone into overdrive in the last few days. Neal joins Marcia Gay Harden (Christian’s adopted mom Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey) and Rita Ora (Christian’s adopted sis Mia), who both signed up to appear in the flick just this week. “True Blood” actor Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Victor Rasuk have also been cast. Sam Taylor-Wood is directing.

Originally slated to hit theaters August 1, 2014, the film will now open February 13, 2015. The “Fifty Shades” story chronicles the S&M love affair between virginal college coed, Anastasia, and her sexy billionaire beau, Christian, who has a proclivity for kink.

For those wondering how kinky it might get, producer Dana Bunetti shared last month with Collider that they are considering two versions of the naughty tale.

“It’ll be R, obviously it has to be R. This is just my opinion and this doesn’t mean this is going to happen, but I always thought it would be really cool if we released the R version and then we had an NC-17 version that we released a few weeks later. So everybody could go and enjoy the R version, and then if they really wanted to see it again and get a little bit more gritty with it then have that NC-17 version out there as well. It’d be great for the studio too because they’d get a double dip on the box office… What we’re kind of hearing from the fans is they want it dirty, they want it as close as possible [to the book]. We want to keep it elevated but also give the fans what they want.”
