Beyonce Thinks Blue Ivy ‘Needs Company’

Beyoncé might be a superstar, with a thriving music and acting career, but no job is as important as being a mother to Blue Ivy. And she likes being it so much that she’s thinking of the expanding the Carter-Knowles clan… someday.

“I would like more children. I think my daughter needs company. I definitely love being a big sister and at some point when it’s supposed to happen. My biggest job in the world is to protect my daughter and I am very protective,” she told “Good Morning America” on Monday (May 6). “I just want to make sure that she can have a healthy, safe, normal life. I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love and now have a way bigger meaning, and that’s to be her mother.”

Blue Ivy joined her mama onstage Friday night during a tour stop in London. At the end of “Irreplaceable,” BIC held Beyoncé’s hand as she closed out the track. In a little dress and protective headphones, she got the room hyped just by standing there, proving she inherited the superstar genes from her parents.

In addition to kicking the “When will she have another kid?” rumor mill into high gear, Queen Bey also addressed all the criticism surrounding her anniversary trip to Cuba with Jay-Z. And instead of courting more controversy, she just brushed it all off her shoulders.

“You know, it was such a beautiful trip and I met some incredible children, visited some incredible entrepreneurs,” she said. “I learned so much about so many people and the country. It was actually quite shocking.”

While Beyoncé didn’t confirm when fans might get to hear a new album, she did open up about her role as Queen Tara in the animated flick, “Epic,” opening up later this month. “You know I was honored when they asked for me to do this role and I was actually pregnant at the time,’ she recalled. “And I thought, you know, by the time this comes out my daughter will understand it’s my voice, and what an incredible, cool point. It’s a beautiful role and it has so much depth. It’s so emotional. I was crying when I did the voiceover. And it was the first thing I did after giving birth.”
