Waka Flocka was arrested earlier today at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He was reportedly charged with Carrying a Weapon in a Prohibited Place and taken to Clayton County jail.

Could this have been the gun that was in his bag?

The photo, which was posted to the TSA’s Instagram account Friday afternoon, included a caption that said it was found at the same airport where the rapper was arrested.

“#TSACatch – This 5.7X28mm pistol was discovered in a carry-on bag today at the #Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (#ATL) International Airport,” the caption reads. “It was loaded with 29 rounds plus one in the chamber. This could have been legally packed in checked baggage. Learn more about traveling with firearms at TSA.gov.”

Waka’s mother and rep, Debra Antney, told TMZ that the bag actually belonged to his fiance, and he took it accidentally.

Chris Brown and Trey Songz announced a joint tour back in August, and on Friday (October 10), they released two new collabs that we might hear during those shows.

Both duets are remixes of current hits, as Breezy and Trigga take on Schoolboy Q‘s “Studio” and the TeeFLii and 2 Chainz‘s “24 Hours.” As you probably expected, the two R&B sensations are all about the ladies on these, as they get explicit about some of the things they’d like to do to some special women.

Though we don’t have much info on the tour, CB and Trey went back and forth with some videos on Instagram over the summer, teasing fans about what was to come.

Should be quite a show.

Soulja Boy and his longtime girlfriend, Nia Riley, reportedly suffered a scare this week when Riley and her young daughter were involved in a car accident.

“My girlfriend @niariley was in a car accident and the car flipped over and our daughter was in the car,” the rapper wrote on Instagram on Wednesday (October 8). “Need your prayers. Life is short and you never know what could happen I love them and don’t know what I would do if something happened to them. God first.”

E! News contacted a rep for Riley — who is the daughter of veteran music producer Teddy Riley and one of the stars on VH1′s “Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood” — who said that Nia and her daughter were doing better.

“Thank you for your concern,” the rep said in a statement. “Both Nia and Kamryn are ok and are now home with Soulja Boy.”

Rick Ross has long made his hometown pride well-known, and now he’s ready to take things to a new level: As part owner of the Miami Dolphins.

“I went and sat down with the Miami Dolphins, we discussed a few things,” the rapper told Angie Martinez on Power 105.1. “You know, I’ve been interested in trying to buy a small percentage of the Dolphins for some time. They finally invited me into the office. I sat with some people. It was a real positive conversation.”

He did make one mistake during the meeting, though.

“When we left, they offered me to walk out through the field,” he said. “It was sprayed for the game the following day. So I walked out on the field, I didn’t know they just sprayed, I was a little excited, and I just dragged my foot through it.”

Rostrum Records has already helped artists like Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller reach impressive heights on an independent level, and now they’re hoping to bring another MC to the masses. On Wednesday (October 8), the label announced a partnership with Mod Sun.

The Minnesota native has six mixtapes and three EPs under his belt, with a new album on the way. To celebrate the signing, he also dropped the video for “1970.”

“Health, success and happiness will always be my mantra,” he raps at one point in the new song — and if you aren’t familiar with him yet, that’s a pretty good introduction.

His name stands for “Movement On Dreams Stand Under None.” He dropped a song earlier this year called “Free Love.” One of his mixtapes is called Happy As F–k. He calls his genre of music Hippy Hop (which was also the name of an EP). He published a book called “Did I Ever Wake Up?” And he doesn’t call his fans fans — he calls them friends.

So expect plenty of positive vibes.

“Rostrum thinks the same way I speak on these songs and they know what it’s like to go all out for something you believe in,” the 27-year-old said in a press release. “That’s exactly why this partnership is so divine to me.”

It recently announced that, the NFL announced that it was banning players from wearing Beats by Dre headphones during televised warm-ups, games and post-game interviews. Richard Sherman didn’t seem too concerned with the rule change on Monday night, though.

The Seattle Seahawks cornerback was spotted rocking his Beats on camera a couple of times during the pre-game telecast on ESPN, including walking in the tunnel and while on the field. The shots were captured by BroBible and The Big Lead, respectively.

The Compton native is endorsed Beats — and even had a commercial earlier this year, which you can watch below, and created a playlist for Beats Music — but the NFL’s ban overrides any individual deals, according to Mashable.

Observing Sherm’s attitude and the way that he carries, himself, though, something tells me he may eat whatever fine comes along rather than switching things up.

Young Money is reportedly getting sued for allegedly not paying a producer, according to TMZ.

REO, who produced Lil Wayne’s 2011 hit “Mirror,” featuring Bruno Mars, is claiming in a lawsuit that he’s owed $91,000 by the label for his work on the song. The single, which was a bonus track on Tha Carter IV, went platinum in the U.S. and hit #1 on the Billboard Rap Songs chart.

The track almost didn’t even end up in Wayne’s hands, though.

“Kanye heard it, Drake heard it, and it already had the Bruno [hook],” REO told MTV News in 2011. “Basically, Nas had it for a while, and it just ended up in the hands of Wayne and he loved it.”

“It’s to the point that they record so many songs over the time period that they’re making the album, so you just hope to God that your song resonates with everybody that has to ‘Yes’ it.”

Weezy’s previous album, Tha Carter III, also landed the label in some hot water with producers. Deezle, who co-produced “Lollipop,” sued for $20 million for royalties for his work on the album; they later settled out of court. Drew and Infamous, known for their work producing Tunechi’s “Mr. Carter,” featuring Jay Z, filed separate suits in 2012 claiming that they were owed royalties.

A representative for the label would not comment on the matter.

Wayne’s new album, Tha Carter V, is due out October 28.

After warming us up with the excellent trailer for The Album About Nothing, Wale has us even more excited for his new disc with the second episode of his vlog series.

Splicing together clips from recent radio interviews with in-studio and concert footage, Ralph gives fans a brief glimpse into his process and what they can expect in the future — all soundtracked by “The Followers,” his potent track from this past summer.

“I can’t say the people; I gotta say the core,” he says during one interview stop when discussing the upcoming project. “Ambition was for the people; The Gifted was for me; this is for the core. This is A&Red by my fans.”

That fits with what he told MTV News in April, when he dropped a few details about the project.

“I’ve spent some good time with Jerry [Seinfeld] and we’re gonna keep building on it,” he said (Seinfeld, by the way, appears in the new vlog). “I wanna make it super incredible and super honest and I’m really putting the fans first on this one. With The Gifted, I [did] things musically and sonically that I felt I wanted to do for myself, but this one is solely for the fans and solely for the people who made me who I am.”

He delved deeper into that mindset and process in an Instagram post early Monday (October 6), where he explained the video and where he’s at musically and mentally.

A Drake and Wu-Tang Clan collaboration seemed inevitable when Drizzy dropped “Wu-Tang Forever,” a track off of last year’s Nothing Was The Same. And for a while, it looked like the Shaolin squad were set to appear on the remix, but it never materialized.

“We had got the call, and said, ‘Yo, let’s take a session in the studio and see if we can go in for the young brother,’” RZA told MTV News, saying that they were on tour in Europe when they recorded their parts.

“When I talked to him, he wanted, I think, me and Rae to go in, but for whatever reasons it never happened,” Ghostface added, providing little clarity on the situation.

But U-God’s take — that the content of their rhymes didn’t fit with his — could provide the explanation.

If you’ve been agonizing during the last month over the fact that you missed Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj perform their “Flawless (Remix)” live in September, today, you can start to feel better.

On Monday (October 6), the leading ladies dropped a video for their recent collab, which features footage from their On The Run Tour performance in Paris. Bey starts off by being normally “Flawless,” singing the lyrics to the hook from her self-titled album favorite. Then, she ups the ante.

“Can I do something cool for y’all? Special?” she asks, before launching into the remix — including the memorable lyric, “Of course sometimes sh– go down/ When it’s a billion dollars on an elevator.”

Soon, Nicki joins for her own flawless verse, where she celebrates “the Queen of Rap slayin’ with Queen Bey.” Nearby, Bey dances flawlessly. Later, they stand side-by-side wearing flawlessly bright outfits.
