Romance is blooming everywhere for Naya Rivera. Not only did the “Glee” actress find love on the small screen with Demi Lovato, but she also confirmed she’s engaged to her rapper beau Big Sean.
She first kicked off speculation Thursday night when she hit up the Latina Magazine Hollywood Hot List party at the Redbury Hotel in Los Angeles sporting a new piece of shiny bling on her left ring finger. Her rep later confirmed the engagement to E!
Sean and Naya started dating earlier this year, making their first public appearance together at April’s “42” movie premiere. In June, the Detroit MC opened up to MTV News about one of the special things Rivera does for him, especially when he’s feeling a little blue.
“Me and Naya is a great thing. She’s awesome. She takes care of me,” he said, retelling the details of how Naya learned the recipe for his grandma’s special pound cake just so she could bake it for him. “[She] surprised me with it one day, man, when I wasn’t feeling too good. Just stuff like that, showing she really cares. That’s my homey, more than anything. That’s my girl.”
Naya and Big Sean later collaborated on her feisty single, “Sorry,” where she apologizes to everyone for not being sorry she fell for the rapper. And, she explained why she welcomed his advice while they worked on the track together. “A lot of influence. He’s been doing this a lot longer than I have professionally, so his advice is priceless,” she said in August. “I’ll play him stuff and he’ll give me little tweaks. He gave me tweaks on ‘Sorry.’ “
No word on when they plan to tie the knot, but we expect they will be serving pound cake at the wedding.
