Like so many of you, my teenage years were spent idolizing Britney Spears.
Not much has changed since then, but I remember when I first bought her debut album ….Baby One More Time and listened to it more times than I could count. I ran home after school to catch Britney’s numerous appearances on “
I dreamt of the moment when I might one day meet Britney. And like any normal teenager, I wrote down all the questions I would ask Britney if I ever got the chance to meet her. And this week, I finally met her. I hopped on a plane out to Las Vegas, where Britney’s about to kick off her two-year “Piece of Me” residency at the Planet Hollywood Hotel Casino & Resort. On the day that her album, Britney Jean, hit stores, I asked her the questions I’ve always wanted to ask. (Some may seem a little outdated now, but I waited this long, I had to ask her.) So, if like me, you’ve been wondering about whose idea was it to wear matching denim with Justin Timberlake at the 2001 American Music Awards (and if she still has the dress), the status of “Crossroads 2,” her celeb crush or what ever happened to her much-talked-about cameo on “Dawson’s Creek,” you are welcome! Fifteen-year-old me couldn’t be happier!
