The 7 Most Haunted College Campuses In The World

by 5 mins ago

College life can be tough. Between classes, extracurriculars, internships, the pressure of having to know what you want to do with the rest of your adult life at a young age, and the faceless ghosts terrorizing you when you sleep, the “Animal House” life isn’t always all it’s cracked up to be.

Oh, wait, I’m sorry, were you thrown off by that last part? Basically, what I meant to say was that for some students, the college struggle goes beyond the academic and into the realm of the supernatural. Below, find the seven scariest real-life hauntings on college campuses:

7. Fordham University

The Bronx campus of Fordham University is gorgeous, but it also comes with icy ghost hands that will grab your shoulders in Keating Hall — the basement of which was once an old hospital morgue, if you believe the local legends. Also, ladies, be sure to say hi to the blonde ghost that haunts the shower room, even though she’ll never talk back. (She’s the silent type.)

6. Nagasaki University

Nearly 70 years after the atomic bomb hit Nagasaki, “screams, cries, and the smell of burning flesh” have all been reported from both students and visitors.

5. University of Illinois

Thinking about pursuing higher education at the University of Illinois? Great! Just hope you’re okay with the faceless man who terrorizes the student body. Legend has it, more than one student was found hanged in their closet after encounters with ‘Ol ...

Taylor Swift also gave the crowd what they wanted with older favorites like “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “Trouble” before plugging her new album 1989 and performing a string of brand new songs including “Out Of The Woods” and closing with “Shake It Off.”

Sia dodged the audience by repeating her trick of performing with her back to the crowd, running through a slew of her latest album, including “Chandelier.” She was joined on the track by 11-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler who appears in the moving video for the track.

Throughout the night, artists on the packed line up remembered to re-focus attention on ...

‘The Walking Dead’: Greg Nicotero Is Bringing The Dead To Life

by 1 hour ago

The Walking Dead” is a monstrous franchise, and one of its hydra-like heads is Greg Nicotero. The makeup and visual effects guru is an essential asset of the AMC television show, creating the distinct look and feel of the undead walkers… And he’s branched out into producing and directing, including the incredible season five premiere.

But “Walking Dead” isn’t just on TV and in comics… Nicotero is also bringing the dead to life every day until November 1 at Universal Studios Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights. The terrifying nighttime attraction features key scenes from the fourth season of the show, as well as some original scares throughout the “maze.”

With Halloween Horror Nights well under way, MTV News got on the phone with Nicotero, as well as Director of Entertainment – Creative Development for NBC/Universal Themeparks Michael Aiello – to talk about what went into bringing the show to literal life… As well as some hints at the “Walking Dead” spinoff, and a possible movie:

MTV News: “The Walking Dead” has been part of Halloween Horror Nights for a couple years now, but Greg, what was it like being involved this time? What touches did you bring from the show?

Greg Nicotero: Well, you know Mike Aiello and I have collaborated pretty well in the last uh, this the what, third year?

Taylor Swift Finally Wrote The Happiest Love Song—But It’s Not About Her

by 2 hours ago

Okay Swifties, you might want to sit down while you read this post because it gets really super personal, romantic and swoon-worthy. We got Taylor’s partner-in-songwriting-crime Jack Antonoff to interview her for us yesterday (October 24) in her now-home of New York City about 1989—and the results are much more intimate and emotional given the close relationship the two already have.

I mean, they’re close enough to act like total goofballs together:

Are you ready for a majorly touching tidbit to be revealed? Good, because it involves Antonoff’s long-time girlfriend and Swiftie pal Lena Dunham, who has already dubbed one of the tracks off 1989 as her “someday wedding song,” but that’s probably because Taylor wrote it about Lena and Jack’s relationship.

“You guys are like the benchmark of actual, real true love,” Taylor tells Jack, who manages to take it all in stride. Watch the two discuss the song below, which Jack wrote the music for and Taylor describes as the sound of “real love.”

While Antonoff was working with Tay Tay on one of the songs off 1989, he didn’t realize that he was closer to the heart of the song than just as a musical collaborator.

For “You Are In Love,” Taylor used the relationship that Jack and Lena Dunham share as her inspiration to get all lovey dovey. But apparently, Lena didn’t even know it was about ...

This Guy Didn’t Just Win The Lottery—He Won The Same One Twice

by 8 mins ago

Winning the lottery once is a long shot, but winning the lottery twice? That’s impossible.

Until now.

That’s right, Kenneth J. Stokes of Norwood, Mass, won the same lottery twice for a grand total payout of $546,000.

How in the blank did he do that, you ask?

Apparently, while playing the lotto on Monday (October 20), he forgot that he had been gifted a season pass to the Massachusetts State Lottery Lucky for Life drawing by his family and bought a second ticket with the exact same lucky numbers as the season pass ticket.

“The representative called the individual who was the owner of the season ticket and informed him of that and then he was obviously elated to find out that he had won on that ticket,” Massachusetts State Lottery director of communications Christian Teja told ABC News.

“They hung up and he realized that he had purchased the same ticket on his own for that same drawing. During the phone call when they had spoken, the representative had mentioned there was another winner form Norwood. He called back and it all came together when he was like, ‘I’m that guy in Norwood.’”

Talk about having a lucky day. The odds of Stokes’ lottery double dip is a whopping one in 9.7 trillion.

Stokes, who plans to use his winnings to pay his son’s tuition, pay off his daughter’s car and take his family on vacation, opted for the one-time cash payment ($390,000 pre-tax, $273,000 after tax) instead of the $25,000 per year for 20 ...

The Little Monsters Are Losing It In A BIG Way Over Lady Gaga’s ‘Cheek To Cheek’ PBS Special

by 20 mins ago

Lady Gaga decided to take a trip down the jazzy lane this year, and put out an album that went in a totally different direction from ARTPOP with her Tony Bennett collaboration Cheek To Cheek.

The album is jazz standards done by Gaga and Bennett in duets, and you’d think that some of her pop-loving fans might not want to make the transition into jazz, right? Nope. Wrong—monstrously wrong. Instead, the Little Monsters have been losing their minds over the album, and specifically during tonight’s (October 24) special PBS performance of the album.

Gaga herself was obviously stoked about the event, and live-tweeted along with the taped performance:

But she wasn’t the only one—countless fans reflected on how excited they were about the unlikely fact that they were falling in love with jazz.

Even Tony Bennett got into the live-tweeting! He was watching along with his wife Susan and this adorable bundle of fluff named Happy. Uhhh Tony, can I come over and watch with you??

After all that tweeting, the site even went down for a few minutes—something the monsters gladly took responsibility for.

Wanna get in on all that jazz? Get your copy of Cheek to Cheek here, or, if you missed the special you can watch a brief clip of them watching the title track below.

Did You Know The G-Unit House Has A Stripper Swing?

by 2 mins ago

Like any family, G-Unit has had its fallouts, beefs and, ultimately, after all the Twitter rants and Instagram misunderstandings, the reunion.

The reunification of 50 Cent and his band of lyrical soldiers, Kidd Kidd, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and Tony Yayo, was completely unexpected, but a welcomed surprise in hip-hop.

In the new Kellen Dengler-directed documentary, XXL goes behind the scenes at Fif’s expansive mansion in Farmington, Connecticut with rap’s ultimate crew and gets all the dirt—including the group’s sexcapades.

“I’m just saying, it’s a lot of rappers ol’ ladies been a victim of this swing right here,” said Buck, pointing at the sex swing in the house’s “stripper room.”

“We should have females autograph it, if she sat her ass on here, just autograph it,” he continued. “It’d be a lot of dead rappers, bruh, they’ll be killin they self like, ‘B-tch, you was over there with them n—as? I seen your name on the swing!’ Unfortunately, for a lot of you rap n—as, a lot of y’all ol’ ladies has been on here performing. Straight up.”

In between stories about the house’s debaucherous history, the G-Unit general did manage to squeeze in some business.

“We made sure that we mixed, mastered and produced each one of the records til we felt like it was the best possible sound on each one of the songs,” 50 said. “So I’m doing it faster by releasing EPs, two of ‘em. They’ll get a chance to see The Beauty first, ...

When Their Principal Forbid Cross-Dressing During Spirit Week, These Students Revolted

by 25 mins ago

When two male students came dressed up as women to their Washington high school earlier this month—one, as Nicki Minaj, and the other, as Miss America—they were told they had two options: Change outfits, or go home.

They were surprised, since they were following the protocol of the White Pass Jr. Sr. High School Spirit Week, which, on this day, called for students to “dress like a celebrity,” according to KING5 News in Washington. That didn’t stop the principal—whom the boys said told them they needed to change—from trying to lay down the law.

“I asked him why,” Mudge said. “He said, ‘No reason.’”

So given that choice, Chandler Krueger and Mason Mudge decided to leave.

In an inspiring show of solidarity, fellow students came to school the following day dressed in outfits generally associated with the opposite sex.

“I think it’s really awesome that all the kids support me and support the decisions that I made,” Mudge said. “I walked into school this morning and everyone was wearing dress[es] and pink and all that.”

Superintendent Chuck Wyborney seems to agree that the way the two high schoolers were treated was unjust. “If it happens again, we’ll handle it differently,” he said.

What do you think? Was the principal out of line? Would you have protested his decision too? Let us know in the comments.

Justin Bieber And Khalil Are Done Playing Games In The ‘Playtime’ Video

by 2 mins ago

I bet you weren’t expecting this to start your weekend: A new video from Justin Bieber.

The Biebs joins Khalil in the visuals for “Playtime,” off of Khalil’s A Long Story Short mixtape, which dropped back in August. The video is pretty low key, as the two friends are mostly hanging out, bouncing around outdoors, and are eventually surrounded by a crowd (which, all things considered, was relatively reasonably sized). JB also busts out some dance moves.

Unfortunately, the video caused some tears.

OK, they were tears of joy. Still.

We should probably start getting used to hearing new music from Justin. Last week, he remixed Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” and told manager Scooter Braun that it’s “time to go back to work.”

Here we go.
