Need To Know: Watch Jaden Smith’s ‘Blue Ocean’ Video Featuring Kylie Jenner

by 18 mins ago

With additional reporting by Janelle Myers

Getting Jenner With It
Jaden Smith released a music video for “On The Blue Ocean Floor” and his rumored [ex]girlfriend Kylie Jenner makes a cameo. She only stars in it for a couple of seconds, but the rapper/singer shares a tender moment with her. Judging by Kylie’s comments, actor Moises Arias, who caused controversy with a shirtless photo in bed with Jaden’s little sister, Willow, is the one who directed and edited the video.

This song may sound familiar, because he raps/sings over the instrumental of Justin Timberlake’s 2013 ballad “Blue Ocean Floor.”

She’s A City Girl Now
Taylor Swift dropped her latest song “Welcome To New York,” a love song to her newly adopted home.

Doc From ‘Fraggle Rock’ Has Died

by 1 min ago

Sad news today for Fraggle fans everywhere: Gerard Parkes, who played Doc throughout the five-season run of “Fraggle Rock,” has died.

According to what Parkes’ agent Gerry Jordan told The Candian Press, Parkes died of natural causes in a Toronto retirement home, only three days after celebrating his 90th birthday.

fraggle_rock

Born in 1924, Parkes was best known for his role on “Fraggle Rock” as Doc, an optimistic inventor and tinkerer who lived with his trusty sidekick and dog, Sprocket. Doc’s workshop was one of few connecting points to the caves known as Fraggle Rock, though he very rarely interacted with the Fraggles, not learning of their existence until the very end of the series. Gobo Fraggle would frequently sneak into Doc’s workshop to collect postcards sent to him by his uncle Matt, which Doc would regularly throw away, thinking the postcards were sent to the wrong address.

Parkes reprised the role of Doc in the 1987 television special “A Muppet Family Christmas,” interacting with the likes of Fozzie Bear and Kermit the Frog — more interactions than he had with the Fraggles during the entirety of “Fraggle Rock.”

“He was a funny man,” Jordan told The Canadian Press of the late actor. “Many times we would go for lunch and always be interrupted by somebody asking for his autograph. … He loved the attention.”

What A Girl Is Saying When She Doesn’t Hold Back A Fart

by 1 min ago

Us ladies often hold back, but when we don’t this action speaks (and smells) louder than words. When a girl farts it can say a lot about what she’s thinking, but don’t assume every rip means the same thing. Just like certain things we say can have different meanings, so can our gas. Each toot can take on a various subtext. It’s not cut and dry (insert wet fart pun here), but if she’s farting she’s likely thinking one of these things…

“I love you.”

tumblr_nbuflavxRK1t5c6u6o1_500

Quite common in long term relationship, this is just her way of validating the level intimacy you’ve reached.

“You’re in the Friend Zone.”

friend zone

Just because she’s farting doesn’t mean she loves you, it just means that she’s comfortable around you. If you’re relationship is undefined, than this is likely a platonic gesture that says, “Let’s be buds.” So don’t make a move (if you still want to) unless you want to lose a friend and look like you have a flatulence fetish.

“I feel threatened.”

skunk

Skunks have anal glands that release their signature smell when they’re in danger. Girl farts don’t always, but can function similarly as nature’s pepper spray. Though we can’t always do it on command, having a stomach full of gas in an uncomfortable situation can feel like a blessing (in disgusting disguise). Whether it’s instincts or just her luck, if she’s farting it might be because she wants you to back off. Now you don’t ...

Nick Jonas’ ‘Wilderness’ Is Your Prehistoric Sex Anthem: Listen

by 2 mins ago

Nick Jonas wants to get you naked in the woods… but not in a scary murdery way, I swear. On his new song, “Wilderness,” Nick strips away distractions to deal with basic human desire — and that is, uh, reproduction?

The song, which dropped early Tuesday morning (October 21), takes listeners back to caveman days — sexual caveman days. That said, it’s not hard to imagine Nick grabbing his loin-clothed crotch (just sayin’).

“Before the fire/ We discovered desire/ There’s no use so you can just let me hear you breathing/ Or I’ll overheat it,” Jonas croons on the track, a Bruno-esque sex jam off his upcoming self-titled album, out November 10.

With “Wilderness,” we get a staccato piano beat, falsetto goodness and whole lot of hollering from men in the background — perhaps they’re hungry for gazelle?

Nick continues to distance himself from his Jonas Brother past. “Wilderness” follows solo jams “Jealous,” “Chains” and “Numb,” featuring Angel Haze.

Iggy Azalea digs Nick Jonas and so do her friends.

This Author Actually Tracked Down A 1-Star Reviewer IRL, And We Still Can’t Believe It

by 25 mins ago

Author Kathleen Hale didn’t like an online blogger’s 1-star review of her first novel on Goodreads, so she combed through her social media accounts, tracker her down and went to her house to confront her.

Yeah, you might want to file this one under: “Don’t do this, EVER.”

Hale details the whole sordid affair in an article published by The Guardian, where she attempts to rationalize her actions because the anonymous blogger, one “Blythe Harris,” ended up being “catfisher” named Judy.

“Over the course of an admittedly privileged life, I consider my visit to Judy’s as a sort of personal rock bottom,” Hale wrote. “In the weeks that followed, I felt certain the conclusion to the Blythe Harris mystery was simply ‘Kathleen Hale is crazy’ — and to be fair, that is one deduction.”

Curious about what Harris wrote that made the novelist so crazy? Here you go:

“F–k this,” Harris said in her review. “I think this book is awfully written and offensive; its execution in regards to all aspects is horrible and honestly, nonexistent. I can say with utmost certainty that this is one of the worst books I’ve read this year, maybe my life.”

Ouch, that’s pretty harsh. But was it bad enough to warrant Hale’s actions, which some might consider stalking?

Hale went on to describe the background check she ran on Blythe/Judy and the “cross-catfish” conversation she had with her online troll at her job. She even got in touch with Nev Schulman, the creator of “Catfish,” MTV’s hit ...

Simone Says: The Men Of ‘Are You The One?’ Need To Get A Grip

by 21 mins ago

Global warming shows no signs of stopping, and the same can be said for Simone Kelly’s no-holds-barred take on “Are You the One?” Season 2.

The show’s most outspoken OG has been eating up the current batch of episodes like her own personal soap opera (just look back at last week’s installment for proof) and noticed one particular trend on tonight’s ep — the guys are REALLY starting to let their emotions show. Between Layton‘s “my woman” mantra toward Jenni, plus Nathan‘s infatuation with Shelby, things have certainly gotten a little intense. Let’s hope this all cools down by the fourth Match-Up ceremony…

…or, you know, that it doesn’t.

Check out the latest “Simone Says” video below, tell us what you think of her musings and catch the next “Are You the One?” episode next Monday at 10/9c!

Legendary Fashion Designer Oscar De La Renta Has Died

by 28 mins ago

Oscar de la Renta died on Monday (October 20) at the age of 82.

His wife of 25 years, Annette de la Renta, confirmed the news to The New York Times. The world-renowned fashion designer also leaves behind four step-children from his two marriages.

Born in the Dominican Republic in 1932, de la Renta has designed for Lanvin and Balmain throughout his storied career, not to mention his own namesake fashion house.

His work was perhaps best worn by A-list actresses and First Ladies of the United States, from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis to Michelle Obama. Most recently, he designed the wedding gown worn by Amal Clooney at her September wedding to George Clooney.

Not long after the news broke, Vogue posted a loving tribute on Instagram, writing: “The ‘King of Evening’ will be forever remembered.”

Taylor Swift’s Finally ‘Living In A Big Ol’ City’ In ‘Welcome To New York’

by 28 mins ago

When Taylor Swift said she was “Out Of The Woods” last week, she meant it pretty literally. Her new song off of 1989, “Welcome To New York,” is about one thing and one thing only: the city she now calls her home.

taylor swiftInstagram (Taylor Swift)

“Walking through a crowd, the Village is aglow,” the 24-year-old singer opens the track, which was released on Monday (October 20). “Kaleidoscope of loud heartbeats under coats/ Everybody here wanted something more/ Searching for a sound we hadn’t heard before.”

While that’s certainly the narrative of a “new” New Yorker, Taylor has admitted that she sees the city with only the widest of “wide-eyed optimism.”

In fact, she’s “dreamt” about and “obsessed” over moving to New York for years. I mean, just look at the lyrics to her Speak Now single, “Mean”: “Someday I’ll be living in a big ol’ city/ And all you’re ever gonna be is mean.”

Sure, she forgot to mention them Scottish Folds, but she laid out the basic framework a long time ago.

taylor swiftInstagram (@taylorswift)

“Welcome To New York” was written by Swift and Ryan Tedder, who also produced the song. It will serve as the opening track on Taylor’s upcoming fifth studio album, 1989, which will be released on October 27.

Watch Foo Fighters Get Dark And Lyrical In Their New Video

by 30 mins ago

For their new single, “Something From Nothing,” Foo Fighters opt for a lyrical video that’s not quite a lyric video. Whatever it is, it’s dark.

The clip, which debuted on their HBO series, “Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways,” finds the band performing live in Steve Albini’s dimly-lit Electrical Audio studio in Chicago.

As frontman Dave Grohl sings, the song’s lyrics appear in white letters in and around the rockers from Seattle. “Oh, sweet ignition, be my fuse/ You have no choice, you have to choose/ Bid farewell to yesterday/ Say goodbye, I’m on my way.”

Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen makes a cameo, doing what he does best on the guitar while rocking out with group.

“Something From Nothing” comes to us from Sonic Highways, Foo Fighters’ eighth studio album that drops November 10.

‘SNL’ Just Added A New Cast Member, And Her Name Is…

by 14 mins ago

“Saturday Night Live” made a surprise announcement on Monday (October 20), adding Leslie Jones to its cast.

The stand-up comedian will join the long-running sketch-comedy series as a featured player during this week’s show, which will be hosted by Jim Carrey. (So, uh… No pressure?)

Jones has been a writer on “SNL” since earlier 2014. She was one of the top picks during a talent search last fall, but that slot ultimately went to Sasheer Zamata, the series’ first black female cast member since Maya Rudolph left the show in 2007. Now with Jones onboard, that number has been bumped up to two.

Before joining the cast officially, Jones established her comedic aptitude with appearances on the show’s “Weekend Update” segment. Get a taste for what she’ll be bringing to the cast full-time below.
