Despite not releasing a new album—boo!!—Rihanna was omnipresent through 2014. As Rihanna put it, “Bad gals just wanna have fun” and dressing up as Riri is probably the most fun you can have on Halloween. We managed to distill Rihanna’s year down to three momentous (and costume-worthy) events: when she wore a completely sheer dress, when she changed all her social media icons to a stick figure, and when she quit Instagram (R.I.P.). Our suggestions are below—check ‘em out, bad gals of the world.

DON’T wear a bodysuit unless you want to never go to the bathroom.

Hip-hop. It started out in the parks of NYC.

And ever since then, place has been an essential element of the music. Artists usually rep where they’re from — early and often. Think Kendrick’s Compton-infused good kid, m.A.A.d city or Nas’ Illmatic, a 20-year-old journey through his native Queens.

But rising rapper Iggy hasn’t made her native Australia a major part of her music. And on Friday (October 17), she was emphatic in saying her Aussie roots won’t ever be a topic for musical discussion, saying that she felt left out as a teen hearing MCs rap about their stories.

I have no doubt your feelings were true to your experience, Iggy. But for me, as a kid growing up in Boston, hearing those authentic tales about an upbringing is part of what drew me to rap; it’s what makes it such a unique and powerful art form. Listening to rap was both my portal to everywhere else and a way for me to better contextualize my own surroundings. And it still is today.

Nas brought me to Queensbridge. I saw similarities to places I knew in Boston in his music, and I heard plenty of differences that allowed me, through his words, to build pictures in my mind and learn about a place I otherwise knew little about.

Cuffing season is that time of year when the summer fun is done and men and women start forming more committed relationships during the cold winter months. Brooklyn rapper Fabolous is an expert on this time of year, and laid out the do’s and don’ts on his 2103 single “Cuffin’ Season.”

While the change of weather may lead us to the arms of our significant other, the Brooklyn MC has informed MTV News exclusively that cuffing season will be delayed in 2014.

“I don’t know, the cuffing season might’ve been a little pushed back, might be a little delayed, the Ebola season is out here. Sh– is real, so I don’t know if I want to touch no ladies yet,” Fab told us on Thursday night (October 16) after he performed at the Def Jam 30th anniversary concert at Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center.

The Ebola disease has everyone in the country on alert and has garnered ’round the clock news coverage over the past few weeks. Loso is ready to take the proper precautions.

Tonight (October 17) marks the premiere of “Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word” on MTV and Logo TV. The documentary follows seven young transgender people, revealing their trials and their triumphs. There’s the first openly transgender Division I athlete, a 12-year-old who had to transfer schools after administrators refused to recognize her as a female, and more compelling stories.

In the documentary, which Cox hosted and produced, the actress says that the “T” in LGBT traditionally stands for “transgender,” but can take on a more personal and specific meaning. With that in mind, we asked Cox and some of the cast members of the documentary what the big “T” in their lives was. Check out their answers below, and be sure to tune in tonight to “Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word,” immediately followed by an aftershow on MTV.com.

Last week, Shelby Magnani walked into a medical clinic in Ankeny, Iowa complaining of stomach pains. Turns out she was actually 34 weeks (!!!) pregnant with twins.

“I had really sharp pain in my left side and went into the doctor, and they said we think you might be pregnant,” Magnani told WHOtv. “They told me I was six months and told me to get down to the ER. They did an ultrasound and told me it was twins.”

These weren’t your average, run-of-the-mill twins though. They were incredibly rare monoamniotic twins, which account for less than 1% of all twins. Monoamniotic twins share a single amniotic sac and placenta, and this can lead to complications during pregnancy — like a 50% survival rate for the babies.

Magnani’s daughters Ava and Anna were born via emergency C-section a few hours after she went to the clinic. Though the girls have to be monitored at the hospital for a couple weeks, both of them are healthy and are expected to go home soon.

Magnani and her fiancé James Croskey, both 23, are thankful that nothing went wrong during such a high-risk pregnancy.

“I love them, I love them more than anything,” says Croskey told WHOtv about his daughters.

But is it really possible to be pregnant and not know it for almost eight months? According to obstetrician and gynocologist Dr. Mark Hathaway — who did not treat Magnani — “It definitely happens.”

Kristen Stewart is the best – I know this, you know this… It’s common knowledge. But when MTV News’ Josh Horowitz talked to Stewart for his Happy Sad Confused podcast to help promote the currently in theaters “Camp X-Ray,” she let us in on a few personal facts that took our love for her to impossibly new heights; and we learned a few things about her we never knew before.

1. Her parents are her idols

“I mean my first step into the business was solely because I idolized my parents,” said Stewart. “I thought it was so cool that they went to work and came home with so many stories and lived such rich lives that…you know, not everyone’s parents can say that they LOVE their job the way that my parents did.”

2. Her first taste of acting was being an extra in the “The Flintstones”!

“My mom worked with a director named Brian Lavant for a number of years who did kid’s movies. I was an extra in ‘The Flintstones’.”

“I still dream of maybe one day, being able to pull [dreads] off,” said Stewart, “It would be like ‘Spring Breakers’.”

After Kesha came out with some serious allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse against longtime producer and label head Dr. Luke earlier this week, the 41-year-old Grammy-winning track maker to the stars hit back with his own claims that the singer and her mother were allegedly trying to blackmail him.

Both sides quickly dug in their heels, with Luke’s lawyer saying that Kesha’s “campaign of publishing outrageous and untrue statements” about her client — including allegations that he bullied and sexually and physically assaulted her — were part of a pattern by the 27-year-old singer’s camp to smear Luke’s name (born Lukasz Gottwald) in an effort to get released from a recording contract.

Why haven’t we heard about the allegations before?
According to a TMZ report, when Kesha went to rehab for an eating disorder in January, she began “spontaneously” telling her doctors about the alleged abuse at Dr. Luke’s hands. A source said the doctors took notes that may become evidence in her lawsuit and they instructed her to stay as far away from the producer as possible.

After a few months of rumors — fueled largely by some hand-holding backstage at the VMAs in August — Ariana Grande finally confirmed her relationship with Big Sean earlier this week, calling him “one of the most amazing men in the whole world.” On Friday (October 17), Sean sang similar praises of his now-confirmed significant other.

“She’s amazing, too,” the Detroit rapper told Angie Martinez on Power 105, responding to the singer’s quote about him. “She’s great, man. We just enjoy other. We’re happy; everything’s good.”

Not only are they “good” personally, but professionally, too. Just check Ariana’s “Right There” or “Best Mistake” — both of which feature the G.O.O.D. Music MC — for the proof. And it looks like we’re going to get to hear them together again soon.
