Rick Ross has long made his hometown pride well-known, and now he’s ready to take things to a new level: As part owner of the Miami Dolphins.

“I went and sat down with the Miami Dolphins, we discussed a few things,” the rapper told Angie Martinez on Power 105.1. “You know, I’ve been interested in trying to buy a small percentage of the Dolphins for some time. They finally invited me into the office. I sat with some people. It was a real positive conversation.”

He did make one mistake during the meeting, though.

“When we left, they offered me to walk out through the field,” he said. “It was sprayed for the game the following day. So I walked out on the field, I didn’t know they just sprayed, I was a little excited, and I just dragged my foot through it.”

“Don’t hold that against me, baby!”

If things were to pan out for Rozay, he’d be the newest addition to an already notable lineup of celebs — including Fergie, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan and Venus and Serena Williams — who own part of the team.

“I put it on the table, and it was a few things they wanted to ask and discuss, so on and so forth, but it was a positive situation,” he said.

When “Arrow” returns tonight (October 8) to The CW, you may hear the voices of thousands of ‘shippers cry out, as if all of their dreams had finally come true. That’s right, fans: on the season premiere, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoake (Emily Bett Rickards) – better known to fans as Olicity – will finally lock lips.

But, as we found out when we talked to “Arrow” Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim over the phone in advance of the premiere, the whole will they/won’t they was never part of the plan:

MTV News: So first of all, congratulations on Blake Lively’s baby, I know you were instrumental in bringing her and Ryan together. That’s got to feel good, right?

Marc Guggenheim: [Laughs] I’m glad there was some sort of follow up to the movie.

MTV: Yeah it’s a sequel. I’m kind of hoping they name the baby Hal…

Guggenheim: That would be awesome! Or Sinestro. One or the other.

In the wake of high-profile cases like that of Staten Islander Eric Garner, yet another instance of police brutality has been caught on camera. This particular incident took place in June, but the family of 17-year-old Marcel Hamel recently made the video public.

The clip shows a plainclothes New York City police officer in Brooklyn using excessive force on the teen, who he arrested for allegedly smoking marijuana.

In the video, we can see Hamer being pinned down against a gutter, as he pleads with the cop, saying, “Mister, it was just a cigarette, sir.” While Hamer is still laying on the ground, the cop proceeds to strike him and he seems to temporarily lose consciousness.

His friends can be heard in the background hysterically screaming, “You knocked him out!” but the cop simply responds to Hamer and his friends asking, “Do you wanna get f–ked up?” and taunting them by adding, “Yeah, get it on film.”

Hamer was charged with disorderly conduct after the arrest and, according to his family, he has been suffering from dizziness, headaches and memory loss. “He is always complaining of headaches and he cannot remember things,” his mother Mary Hamer told The Brooklyn Paper. “He used to be pretty sharp, and now I am helping him.”

The “Are You the One?” daters have 10 whole weeks to determine who among them is Perfect Match material, but it only took a single night for Jessica and Anthony to voyage to Pound Town…or at least make a layover en route.

On the Season 2 premiere, the New York gal and the Midwest wonder threw caution to the wind and discretely got down while still surrounded by their housemates. And though Anthony gives the experience a nine out of 10 in the “Pound Town Confessions” clip below, Jessica’s assessment isn’t so favorable.

“It was 30 seconds!” she yelps in the video. “It was bad!”

Jess says the roll in the hay — which manifested out of drunken, first-night excitement — was a “try before you buy type of thing,” and though she was impressed by Anthony’s…uhh…equipment, her awe started and stopped there.

“I kinda gotta teach him things,” she explains through giggles. “‘Cause he’s young.”

Anthony’s got nothing but pride for his Pound Town-expedition, though, even though he knew it could have come at a cost.

“I was worried it could affect the relations I had with other women,” he admits. “I knew that it was a long journey, and I came out the gates a little hot, so I thought it might set me back a little bit. At the same time, I didn’t really care.”

In the upcoming film “Paper Towns,” Nat Wolff’s character Quentin may be obsessed with Cara Delevingne’s Margo Roth Spiegelman, but, in real life, the actor admits that he didn’t initially know who Delevingne was.

“This is going to sound crazy, because she’s the biggest super star in the world — I had never heard of her,” Wolff told MTV News. “She just came in to audition and she was unbelievable. I think she’s that character. She’s perfect for that role.”

“Paper Towns” is the second John Green novel to become a film — following close on the heels of smash-hit “Fault In Stars” — and pulls together a lot of the same team from that film: Wolff (who played a supporting role in “Fault”), as well as Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who co-wrote both “Fault” and “The Spectacular Now.” Delevinge’s casting was announced in September, and, although shooting starts soon, only she and Wolff’s roles have been unveiled.

“Paper Towns” picks apart the idea of the “manic pixie dream girl” (a term coined by critic Nathan Rabin, who recently apologized for its existence) — zeroing in on a boy named Quentin’s obsession with free spirit Margo Roth Spiegelman. Rostrum Records has already helped artists like Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller reach impressive heights on an independent level, and now they’re hoping to bring another MC to the masses. On Wednesday (October 8), the label announced a partnership with Mod Sun.

The Minnesota native has six mixtapes and three EPs under his belt, with a new album on the way. To celebrate the signing, he also dropped the video for “1970.”

“Health, success and happiness will always be my mantra,” he raps at one point in the new song — and if you aren’t familiar with him yet, that’s a pretty good introduction.

His name stands for “Movement On Dreams Stand Under None.” He dropped a song earlier this year called “Free Love.” One of his mixtapes is called Happy As F–k. He calls his genre of music Hippy Hop (which was also the name of an EP). He published a book called “Did I Ever Wake Up?” And he doesn’t call his fans fans — he calls them friends.

So expect plenty of positive vibes.

“Rostrum thinks the same way I speak on these songs and they know what it’s like to go all out for something you believe in,” the 27-year-old said in a press release. “That’s exactly why this partnership is so divine to me.”

Oh, the unflinchingly cruel passage of time.

Actually, scratch that — it should be, “oh, the unflinchingly cruel passage of time that can only be adequately expressed on television by the presence of ridiculous flashback hair.”

From “Lost” to “Scandal” to every single vampire drama there is, the flashback scene has become a crucial storytelling element on many of our favorite shows. This frequently means you have to alter a character’s look to convey the passage of time to the audience, and for some — mostly male — characters, that can only really be done with wigs, since it’s quite difficult to make characters look younger onscreen. (Also, for vampire shows, the wigs can be used to immediately identify a certain time period.)

There have been numerous flashback hairpieces in this here golden television age, but these 17 are the best (meaning worst) offenders:
