Rick Ross And Stalley Have ‘Everything A Dope Boy Ever Wanted’ On New Track

by 30 mins ago

Last night, Rick Ross shared a collaboration with MMG’s Stalley, “Everything A Dope Boy Ever Wanted.”

The song is produced by Beat Billionaire, the in-house MMG producer responsible for Rozay hits like “John Doe” and “Yella Diamonds.” He flips an old-school soul sample over unobtrusive percussion—the result is cozy and weightless, like expensive silk you can barely feel yourself wearing.

Ross rarely wavers from his diamond-studded depiction of hedonistic boss life, and this is no exception. He proclaims himself a “Forbes cash king” and describes jaunts around the country “rolling blunts with the latest playmates of the month” at his “cribs in Atlanta and out in Vegas too.” In Rozay’s world, everything is plural.

Stalley’s verse is a lively slice of self-promo, heralding the release of his upcoming debut album Ohio as a king-making moment. His empire? The Midwest: “This the crown in Ohio, I sit on that throne/Welcome back Lebron, but Stalley been home.”

He also represents for upcoming releases from his label-mates Wale and the incarcerated Meek Mill: “It’s double M to the grave, free Meek Milly/Dreams Worth More Than Money, The Album Bout Nothin/This our year, tell ‘em stop frontin.”

Ross in Florida, Meek Mill in Pennsylvania, and now Stalley in Ohio: all important battleground states. Is MMG fielding a presidential candidate in 2016? We sure hope so.

Ohio drops on October 27th, and Rick Ross will release Hood Billionaire later this fall.

Of Course Denzel Washington Does A Perfect Jay Z Impression

by 14 mins ago

Move over, Jay Pharaoh — there’s a new master impersonator taking Hollywood by storm, and he just so happens to be an A-list leading man himself.

During an appearance on “The Queen Latifah Show” to promote his new film “The Equalizer,” Denzel Washington shared a couple of jaw-dropping, music-related anecdotes that totally make us see him in a new light. If you didn’t think Denzel was the coolest dude before (which you definitely should have), you’ll be shocked by these epic stories.

First up, Washington revealed that he grew up with Ludacris’ dad, Wayne Bridges. The childhood buds even played at a school talent show together with “wigs and two dollar guitars,” and decided they were going to be the next Beatles.

Latifah tried to put Washington on the spot and get him to rap, but after that didn’t work, Washington came back with an even better treat: A spot-on impression of Jay Z. He launched into a story about being in a recording studio with Lenny Kravitz, who was working on new music with Jay at the time.

Jay Z said to Denzel, “Yeah, D, I’ma play this for you, D,” Washington said, nailing Hov’s smooth voice and signature laugh.

As if that wasn’t amazing enough, it turns out the song that Jay played for Washington was his 2003 hit with Pharrell, “Change Clothes.”

“It was ‘Change Clothes.’ He’s like, so what’d you think, D?’” Washington remembers. “I was like, ‘Play that again!’ He was ...

Is Taylor Swift Secretly Avicii’s Long-Lost Sister? This Pic Kinda Proves It

by 1 min ago

Was Taylor Swift kidnapped as a baby? Was she taken from her icy, pop music palace in Sweden and dropped down into America to create all the incredible songs about love and loss that she’s given us? Could it be that Taylor Swift and Avicii are… long lost siblings??

Well, these hypothetical questions might seem as crazy to you as they did to me a few short minutes ago before I saw this mash up of Taylor and Avicii that caused me to question my entire reality.

They are the literal same. Sorry but they are! Right down to eye color and lip size. Taylor is apparently feeling just as shell-shocked as I am because she captioned it as follows:

“Just saw this, then immediately called my parents and asked them point blank if they kidnapped me from Avicii’s family in Sweden when I was a baby. Of course they denied it. They would. #heyyyyybrother #WHOAMIACTUALLY.”

How much you wanna bet that #WHOAMIACTUALLY starts trending? And becomes a new meme! And the it’s going to get big on tumblr and then Taylor wears a shirt of it and continually perpetuates the cycle of us loving her forever?

Whoever you are Taylor, you have our hearts forever. And you know, a new song with a big drop from Avicii would be pretty awesome even if he isn’t your brother. We all loved it when you went dubstep on “I Knew You Were Trouble” so it ...

4-Year-Old Justin Bieber Hugging A Teddy Bear Is Actually Too Cute

by 23 mins ago

A little late for #ThrowBackThursday, Justin Bieber still gifted Instagram with the cutest possible picture of himself last night. Posing with a teddy bear for the camera, the Canadian singer can’t have been much older than four when this snapshot was taken.

That smile is so perfect, it almost makes us forget that 20-year-old Justin Bieber is an international pop star! Oh and this was definitely before he collected his extensive set of tattoos, remember those days?

We’ll totally forgive him for that hideous ‘stache if it means that more Bieber baby pics are on the way! He’s been so romantic lately, maybe he unearthed this childhood gem to show to Selena in an attempt to keep charming her. I’m guessing it worked.

Teacher Who Raped His Student Has Prison Sentence Extended From A Month To A Decade

by 38 mins ago

Auliea Hanlon has been fighting against the sentence that a teacher received for raping her daughter for six years—and she finally got some justice.

Back in 2008, 55-year-old Stacey Dean Rambold, a high school teacher in Montana, was accused of raping 14-year-old Cherice Moralez.

Rambold pled guilty to the charges, but as the case was going to trial Cherice took her own life in 2010, just a few weeks before her seventeenth birthday.

So when the sentence of just 31 days in prison arrived, it felt like even more of an injustice.

The appeal against Rambold’s mere month in jail argued that the statue used for his sentence, which was handed down by District Judge G. Todd Baugh, “[was] misapplied and the minimum sentence that could be imposed in Rambold’s case was two years.”

When the appeal was taken to the Montana Supreme Court in April of this year, they ruled that Baugh used an “inapplicable statute” to sentence Rambold and also barred him from handing down the new sentence. In his ruling, Baugh claimed that the victim looked older than her “chronological age” and was “probably as much in control of the situation as was the defendant.”

These comments infuriated Cherice’s mother who noted that she wasn’t even old enough to get a driver’s license when the rape took place. During the new trial, which was held yesterday (September 26) she argued that Rambold understood the impact his actions would have on her daughter and simply ...

Chelsea Clinton Had Her Baby–And It’s A Girl

by 56 mins ago

Former presidential couple Bill and Hillary Clinton can finally call themselves grandparents. Last night, their daughter Chelsea welcomed her baby, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, into the world.

Chelsea, who married her husband Marc Mezvinsky in 2010, announced her daughter’s birth via Twitter last night.

Chelsea publicly announced her pregnancy last April, but the new mom had been participating in panels at this year’s Clinton Global Initiative—the non-profit foundation established by her father—just two days before she went into labor. Luckily, Charlotte waited until her mom was done saving the world before arriving on the scene.

Chelsea’s father Bill Clinton served two terms as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001.

Hillary Clinton, who might make another run for president in 2016 after losing the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama in 2008, has said that she’d like to fully experience being a grandma before deciding on her future political plans.

Hopefully the whole family can take a break from politics for a while to hang out with baby Charlotte. Can’t wait until we get to take a peek at this new political baby!

There’s A ‘Swarm’ Of 600 Earthquakes Striking California Right Now

by 12 mins ago

The long-held stereotypes about living in California are absolutely, undeniably true — it’s always sunny, the people are beautiful, the beaches are even better, and there’s avocado on literally everything. What’s not to love?!

But the one thing people never tell you about living in the Golden State is that it comes with the agony of constantly living in fear of earthquakes. It’s bad enough when one ‘quake shakes you awake from your precious sleep, but a new threat has emerged that’s putting that terror on a whole new level: There’s now a SWARM of earthquakes hitting California. As in, MULTIPLE earthquakes.

meangirls-scared-gifGiphy

More than 600 small earthquakes have struck central California’s Mammoth Lakes region in a mere 36 hours. The quakes, which started Thursday, have ranged in magnitude from 1.0 (“ehh, can’t even feel it”) to 3.8 (“WTF was that?!”).

Experts say it’s one of the largest earthquake swarms in the past decade, which frankly sounds terrifying. But residents of the area are reportedly totally lax about this sitch — after all, they live in a region known as the Long Valley Caldera, a volcanic region that gets minor earthquakes on the reg.

The U.S. Geological Survey isn’t completely alarmed, either. It reports that “despite the several felt earthquakes, this is still rather modest activity compared with the much more energetic swarms occurring in the 1980s and 1990s. We do not see any evidence for anomalous ground deformation associated with the swarm at this time.”

That’s all ...

Read The Tear-Jerking Tribute Robert Downey Jr. Wrote For His Late Mother

by 9 mins ago

After losing his mother earlier this week, Robert Downey Jr. decided a “generic” obituary wouldn’t be enough to honor her by. So the actor took to Facebook yesterday to pen an honest, emotional tribute to Elsie Ann Downey, who died on Monday at the age of 80.

Downey Jr. began the post by explaining that the loss has been weighing heavily on him amidst publicity for his latest movie.

“As promotion for ‘The Judge’ kicks off this weekend, I feel the need to run the risk of over sharing,” he began. “My mom passed away early this week. I wanna say something about her life, and a generic “obit” won’t suffice.”

He went on to share intimate details about his mother’s life, including anecdotes about her struggling career as a theater actress and her short-lived marriage to Downey Jr.’s father, filmmaker Robert Downey Sr.

Facebook

The “Iron Man” star also revealed that his mother suffered from her own harsh struggles with addiction. After she eventually got clean, she inspired him to do the same.

“While I strived to have the kind of success that eluded her, my own addiction repeatedly forbade it,” Downey Jr. wrote. “In the summer of 2004, I was in bad shape. She called me out of the blue, and I admitted everything. I don’t remember what she said, but I haven’t drank or used since.”

During his mother’s final years, Downey Jr. said that she was a constant presence in his children’s life, cherishing her role as a ...

Why Did Chloe Grace Mortez Take The Role Of A Prostitute In ‘The Equalizer’?

by 25 mins ago

With reporting by Josh Horowitz

You might think, given that actress Chloe Grace Moretz has been so outspoken about her support of feminism – and Emma Watson’s recent #HeForShe movement in particular – that she wouldn’t jump at playing the role of a prostitute in this weekend’s “The Equalizer.” But as MTV found out when we caught up the star, that’s exactly why she took the part.

“That’s what attracted me to the script,” Moretz said. “She’s a girl who was sexualized by life, but the movie completely unsexualized her. You don’t see that with a lot of young female characters in general, but especially when you’re playing a prostitute, or a lady of the night… It’s usually very much exploited.”

Turns out, it wasn’t just Moretz pushing that angle for her character – who plays opposite Denzel Washington in the movie – it was also director Antoine Fuqua.

“What I loved is when I talked to Antoine, his immediate, biggest part was, ‘I’m not sexualizing her,’ ” Moretz continued. “You know what she does outside that diner. You know what she does when she gets in that limo with that guy. But who you know, and who you love is that young girl who wants to be a singer. That’s what you actually fall in love with.”

And even outside of the movie, Moretz found that real life women also shared this experience – making her role in an over-the-top action movie more realistic than most.

“When I met these girls at ...
