Snooki Might Tattoo A Brand-New Body Part…Whether You Like It Or Not

by 25 mins ago

Snooki‘s already taken to the animal kingdom and the cosmos with her mounting tattoo collection, but her next design might hit a little bit closer to home.

The “Snooki & JWOWW” star, who will soon give birth to Baby #2, shared a plan on her website yesterday to honor Little Lorenzo — and the children she’s yet to have — with a new bit of ink. And since her back, shoulders and arms are all accounted for, she’s set her sights on her neck. Can we get an over-under on the pain?

SnookiEnzoTattooSnooki's Instagram

“The next tattoo I’m thinking can go on my neck, but I want it to resemble my kids,” Snooki wrote, and added that she’s planning for four. “Every time I have a baby, I want to add to that tattoo. So I’m thinking cute little birdies on my neck with their initials.”

And if you have anything negative to say about the idea, she recommends you keep it to yourself.

“I don’t understand the people who look at mothers who have tattoos and say you are trashy or gross,” she noted. “It’s just a tattoo dude, lighten up. Tattoos are beautiful and it’s a personal choice.”

Excitingly, it looks like the first two fowl might be etched on soon, as Snooki shared last night that labor is imminent.

“Good news! I just went to my doctor and I’m officially starting to dilate…” she tweeted. Hope the hospital bag is packed and ...

Benedict Cumberbatch Gave Up His Clothes For This Steamy Mr. Darcy Charity Pic

by 14 mins ago

Ladies and gentlemen who like your soft-core porny photos to have an air of British sophistication to them, you’re in luck. This Benedict Cumberbatch charity photo could undoubtedly be used as the cover to an NC-17 romance novel, but it is also a throwback to “Pride and Prejudice,” so you can say you’re staring at it for hours for literary reasons, or something:

BxpRAjiIQAAvABYJason Bell Photo

If the image looks familiar to you, it’s because you’ve definitely seen it before — that is, you’ve seen a version of it before, when Colin Firth got wet and wild for the role of Mr. Darcy in the BBC’s 1995 adaptation of Jane Austen’s (not Jane Austin, Miss America pageant) iconic novel. Cumberbatch recreated the moment for the Give Up Clothes For Good campaign by Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx (the British TJ Maxx, which sells knickers instead of pants), and we’re so, so thankful for it.

We’d be more thankful if Cumberbatch gave up all of his clothes, but this literary allusion will do just fine for now.

This Supercut Of Every Arnold Schwarzenegger Kill Ever Deserves Another Watch

by 18 mins ago

Arnold Schwarzenegger kills people in movies. It’s just one of the things people like to see him do on the big screen, and he’s been doing it for a long time. That’s what makes a mash-up of all of his kills so fun to watch… and 28 minutes long.

A version of this supercut got passed around a bunch back in 2013, but the lesser-viewed commentary version from the Auralnauts enriches the experience, just like a wonderful director’s commentary.

Check out the video below!

Writer/editor for MTV. If it involves cowboys, spies, or hitmen, I'm there. All three would be ideal.

Marvel’s ‘Agent Carter’ Adds A New ‘Avengers’ Link

by 11 mins ago

Marvel’s “Agent Carter,” starring Hayley Atwell as “Captain America” leading lady Peggy Carter, just added a big-name character to its cast, connecting the show to the “Avengers” franchise in some very interesting ways.

According to Marvel.com, James D’Arcy (“Cloud Atlas”) has joined the cast of “Agent Carter” as Edwin Jarvis. Longtime Marvel readers know Jarvis as the Stark family butler, and a reliable caretaker of the Avengers. (For the uninitiated, think of it this way: Jarvis is to Iron Man as Alfred is to Batman.)

Described by Marvel.com as “Howard Stark’s butler and an unexpected ally to Peggy Carter,” Jarvis’ involvement in “Agent Carter” all but confirms that Howard himself will appear on the show. Marvel has yet to make that news official, but, come on. This train isn’t moving without Dominic Cooper on board, at least as a guest star.

Here’s another idea worth chewing on. In the Marvel movies, Tony Stark relies on an A.I. system called J.A.R.V.I.S., voiced by Paul Bettany, the same man who will play avenging android Vision in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” It’s long been assumed that Vision’s existence will owe no small part to the J.A.R.V.I.S. system; why else cast Bettany in the role?

Now, we know that there’s a Jarvis predating J.A.R.V.I.S. — but he’s not played by Bettany. Could that mean multiple Jarvises? Will the Edwin Jarvis of “Agent Carter” have a son, one who looks like a young Paul Bettany, someone who could grow up to become Tony Stark’s pal, and ...

ISIS Or ISIL: Does It Matter What We Call A Terrorist Group?

by 24 mins ago

On Monday, U.S. forces stepped up a campaign of airstrikes in Iraq, targeting a fearsome
four-letter terrorist organization that’s become synonymous with videotaped beheadings. It’s all part of a military strategy that follows President Obama’s recent pledge to “degrade, and ultimately destroy, ISIL through a comprehensive and sustained counter-terrorism strategy.”

But you might have wondered why the commander-in-chief keeps referring to the organization as ISIL?

More to the point, is ISIL the same as ISIS, which is what almost everyone else is calling the group? Good question.

How It All Started

ISIS protestMoment Mobile/ Nigel Killeen

The idea for ISIS was hatched more than two decades ago by Jordanian fighter and Sunni extremist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi under the name Jama’at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, which was soon commonly referred to as Al-Qaeda in Iraq. By 2004, he had allied himself with Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda proper, targeting coalition forces using IEDs, suicide bombers and hostage executions.

When Things Changed

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi Anadolu Agency

After Al-Zarqawi’s death in 2006 during a U.S. airstrike, new leader Abu Ayyub al-Masri renamed the group the Islamic State of Iraq. When Masri was killed in 2010, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi rose to power and changed the name once again in April 2013 to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, a nod to the group’s incursion into a new region: Syria. The “L” is also, of course, what’s referred to in the term ISIL.

Why ISIS?

Watch Elizabeth Banks Read ‘Mockingjay’ And Feel All The Feels

by 1 min ago

If you’ve read “Mockingjay,” the final tome in the “Hunger Games” trilogy, then you know what’s coming in this video from Elizabeth “Effie Trinket” Banks. The supporting star of the “Hunger Games” films took to Facebook to demonstrate the six-stage process of reading Suzanne Collins’ work: beginning with excitement, pausing for fear and sorrow, and concluding with the part where, yep, it was the best book ever.

Although it seems like one or two stages might be missing from Elizabeth’s “Mockingjay” process — most notably the one wherein you hurl the book across the room and sob for a minimum of three hours — she’s clearly got this whole reading thing nailed down.

Lady Gaga’s Teary Twitter Message Is Enough To Make You Cry Too

by 8 mins ago

When you’re getting naked in the woods, getting puked on onstage or taking an alter ego the farthest it can go (a.k.a. being Lady Gaga), it’s easy to lose sight on what’s reality. I mean, I think. I’m just a regular girl, so I don’t know what it’s like to perform for thousands of people in a bubble suit with a piano made out of bubbles.

But behind all the raw meat, Muppets and seashells, Gaga is just a girl too. She loves her dog, her boyfriend and eating at her parents’ Italian restaurant. When she shows her heart, we’re not surprised, but we still embrace it.

Mother Monster poured her feelings out on Twitter this morning, admitting that she’s been crying a lot of “happy tears” lately and being grateful for everything she’s been able to do. It’s the kind of realness fans relish and something any human can appreciate.

She signed off as “a very humbled Lady” with a kiss, and the note kind of melted my heart. Because even when celebrities seem otherworldly, there will still be some of them who will remind us that, under all the glitz (or mud, in Gaga’s case), we’re all humans together. You’re expressing your gratitude to us, Gaga, but you have no idea how thankful we are for you.

Here’s The First Ever Plus-Size Brand To Show At London Fashion Week

by 10 mins ago

It’s hard to believe, but before yesterday, there has never been a plus-size collection featured at London Fashion Week. Ever. Sir Philip Green (the man behind the Topshop empire) paired UK retailer Evans with designers Giles Deacon, Clements Ribeiro, Hema Kaul, Lulu Liu, Jamie Wei Huang and Vita Gottlieb to create The Design Collective for Evans, which mixed in-house looks with each designer’s own pieces. He told WWD, “This is a big and important part of the market, and we need to be seen to embrace it. You cannot ignore the market place. And you can’t be defensive about it, or apologize about [plus-size fashion]. Why should the category be any different from petite?”

Bryan Cranston’s Major League Baseball Play Is A Grand Slam

by 3 mins ago

When Bryan Cranston knocks, he knocks it right out of the park.

The four-time “Breaking Bad” Emmy-winning actor takes the mound, steps up to the plate, commentates from the skybox, and even dances like a ballerina, in an all-new one-man stage play centered on the great American pastime: Baseball. Of course, it’s not really a one-man stage play; it’s an elaborate commercial for TBS’ upcoming Major League Baseball postseason coverage.

“Heisenberg” and “home run” already belonged in the same sentence, but now, it takes on new meaning. There is literally nothing Cranston can’t do, no position he can’t play — the ultimate utility player.

Play ball, Bryan. Play ball.

Likes pizza, punch and pie. Dislikes the Chitauri.
