Really?

OMG, that’s the best news! Ahhh!

Iggy Azalea’s High School Yearbook Photos Are The Realest

by 15 mins ago

Iggy Azalea may look way “Fancy” in her “Clueless”-themed music video, but when she was in real-life high school? Yeah, she looked pretty awesome, too — just in a less grown-up-playing-a-teen way.

Like most people, Facebook user Shane Lewis Arkins has been sharing some pretty rad #ThrowBackThurday snaps this week. Unlike most people, though, his yearbook photos from good ol’ Mullumbimby High School also feature Iggy Azalea. Oops, sorry, I mean Amethyst Amelia Kelly. Epic name, right?

After Arkins’ snap hit the Web, Buzzfeed uncovered even more photographic evidence of Azalea’s angelic youth via Facebook user Amy Loh, who also apparently attended school with the “Black Widow” rapper. Now we’re just waiting for those baby snaps to emerge…

Good luck on picture day, guys! You could be sitting next to the next Iggy Azalea. Or, you know, you could be pretty fancy yourself (you already know!).

Al Pacino Tells Us Why He Went Indie With ‘Manglehorn’

by 20 mins ago

It would be pretty easy for Al Pacino to sit back and relax. The acclaimed actor has won an Oscar, been nominated seven other times, and starred in some of the most lauded movies ever, in addition to being an accomplished stage performer. (Amazingly, he also almost played Han Solo in “Star Wars”).

Which is why it’s even more amazing that the 74-year-old actor has not one, but two films at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival: “The Humbling” and “Manglehorn.”

“Manglehorn,” where Pacino plays the title character, was directed by David Gordon Green, whose very strange and unique style led to the success of “Pineapple Express,” and Pacino was eager to work with the offbeat director.

“He’s very special,” Pacino said, who also added that he was very happy to see the movie at a festival like TIFF. “The opportunity to see a movie on a big screen, you can only go to festivals to see them now. It’s rarer and rarer.”

But don’t expect a Pacino like anything you’ve seen before. “Manglehorn” has all the trademarks of David Gordon Green, and Pacino did it specifically so he could try something new.

“It feels like an experiment, which is what I liked about it, and it feels like a David Gordon Green at doing yet another different thing,” Pacino told us. “I really thought, why not go with this guy and see what it’s like doing this independent film.”

Go Behind The Scenes Of ‘Godzilla’s Amazing Final Fight

by 20 mins ago

I love “Godzilla.” There’s still a divide on whether Gareth Edward’s reboot of the legendary monster held back too much or just the right amount, but for my money, there wasn’t a more thrilling movie in theaters this summer.

And a lot of that had to do with the delayed gratification a lot of people complained about and how Edwards shot the kaiju. It’s old-school filmmaking, and it proved that the basic principles of directors like Spielberg still work.

In this exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette, Edwards explains his philosophy when it came to shooting the showdown between Godzilla and the M.U.T.O.s .

“Godzilla” hits Blu-ray and DVD on September 16.

Writer/editor for MTV. If it involves cowboys, spies, or hitmen, I'm there. All three would be ideal.

‘Harry Potter’ Is Now The Most Influential Book In The World

by 14 mins ago

If your entire life was shaped by reading “Harry Potter,” don’t worry: so were the lives of most people.

A new study has found that J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” books are the most influential books in the world, beating out “Lord of the Rings,” “To Kill a Mockingbird,” and even The Bible.

The study comes from something that was going around Facebook, asking users to list the books that were most influential to them, telling them “Don’t take more than a few minutes and don’t think too hard. They do not have to be the ‘right’ books or great works of literature, just ones that have affected you in some way.”

According to The Telegraph, two researchers analyzed 130,000 of these answers and found that “Potter” was the most influential of any piece of literature, having been cited in 21 % of users’ lists. That’s over 7 % more than the second most influential book, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” got.

And to all those who say they’re just children’s books: the average age of the study participant was 37, meaning that person would have been 20 when the first “Potter” book came out. It just shows how universal the appeal of Rowling’s wizarding world is, and how it can span age groups, denominations, and generations of readers.

We’ve listed the top ten below, and you can find the rest of the list here:

1. “Harry Potter” Series
2. “To Kill a Mockingbird”
3. “The Lord of the Rings”
4. “The Hobbit”
5. “Pride and Prejudice”
6. “The Holy ...

New ‘Do: ‘Girl Code’ Star Carly Aquilino Just Went From Fiery Red To Cotton Candy Pink!

by 33 mins ago

In January, “Girl Codelost its resident blonde bombshell to the dark side, and it looks like the show’s most fiery redhead is now just a fleeting memory, too.

CarlyPink1Carly Aquilino's Instagram

Carly Aquilino, who once professed on the show “We change our hair when something traumatic happens to us, and obviously I’ve been through a lot of s**t,” has done away with her crimson locks in favor of a cotton candy ‘do, and she wasted no time sharing the very pink look on Instagram. Let’s just hope this doesn’t mean she’s in total agony…

“Taking the new hair color to the pizza place like the #classy broad I am!! I’m obsessed,” she captioned the photo above, which includes a collection of delivery boxes in the background. And if you’re as ardent a fan of pizza as Carly, there’s really no better place to make the big debut.

Millennium Falcon Spotted On ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Set

by 9 mins ago

It can make the Kessel run in 12 parsecs, but the Millennium Falcon apparently can’t evade the lenses of some lucky pilot photographers.

According to TheForce.net, Matthew Myatt, a flight instructor and pilot in Britain, was just taking some routine photographs (or, you know, as routine as photographs taken while flying a plane can be) when he stumbled on a slightly different type of vehicle:

That’s right. He was able to snap a pic of both the Millennium Falcon and an X-Wing from the set of “Star Wars: Episode VII,” which which was filming at the RAF Greenham Common. A different aerial photographer, Justin Reeves, confirmed when he tweeted a pic at a different angle, where you get a better look at the X-Wing in its hangar, and can see the half-completed Falcon at the extreme right:

I don’t know how they were able to keep everything in frame; I would’ve been shaking from the excitement of the discovery. But Reeves did one better, actually taking video of the set, which he posted on Youtube.

What better way to get pics of our favorite flying rustbucket than from the sky?

What do you think of the Falcon and the rest of the set? Let us know!

This Man Is Rolling A Giant Testicle Across America – But For A Very Good Reason

by 24 mins ago

In what has to be the most inventive plan ever to raise cancer awareness, Thomas Cantley is pushing an enormous inflatable testicle across the country, in the hopes of inspiring his fellow men to be vigilant about the health of their balls.

Cantley, a 31 year-old cancer survivor, came up with the idea as a way to (ahem) get the ball rolling on getting young men to be tested for testicular cancer. Vowing never to deflate or detach his ball from his person, he kicked off his planned journey from LA to New York last week.

Speaking to KSBW in Carmel, California, Cantley explained that his goal was to get people talking about testicular cancer, and that he and his ball would be relying on the kindness of strangers in order to work their way east:

“My goal is to get across the country not by any money,” Cantley said. “I want people to come and (say), ‘I’ll book a hotel room, I’ll take you out to lunch, I’ll fill up your gas tank’ or whatever, and I want those physical connections, I don’t just want people to donate to me, I want people to connect with me.”

In short: If you see Cantley rolling down a highway near you, feel free to stop for a chat — and be prepared for him to ask if you’d like to write an inspirational message on his testicle.

You can follow the adventures of Thomas and his ball (known as “Lefty”) on

by 23 mins ago

We know summer’s not even technically over, but the fashion world is (already!) beginning to roll out their highly-anticipated holiday campaigns. Last week, we got a first look at Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett’s winter-ready H&M collab, but today, Skechers released their first behind-the-scenes pics of Demi Lovato as the new face of the brandwell before shopping season starts.

We ain’t mad, though! In ’em, she manages to mix sporty, speckled kicks (which are available to purchase right now!) with her signature rock ’n’ roll style in the most comfy-yet-cool mashup yet.

She said in the press release, “My style philosophy is to stay true to who I am. To be my own unique self. That is when I am happiest. When I’m on stage, it is probably edgy heels or boots and a leather jacket–as fun and crazy as I feel at that moment. And when I am not on stage, chances are I am comfortable in a T-shirt and my Skechers.” To see her sneaks in action, check out the behind-the-scenes video below!

Still Confused About Miley Cyrus’ Art? Watch Her Break It Down For 2 Chainz

by 24 mins ago

Miley Cyrus
debuted her “Dirty Hippie” collection during Jeremy Scott’s show at NYFW on Wednesday (we were there to capture all of it), and Miley was the ultimate host for the big show.

She sat front row, with her mom, 2 Chainz, Bella Thorne and Whoopi Goldberg and later she took some time to explain her art to the rapper. The explanation is pretty much as good as it gets. “My fans made all this sh–, so I just added it all together, ” she said. “Add all this stuff together, all this sh– lights up.” The best.

Now, if only 2 Chainz could give us a little more insight about his outfit in this clip.

Go backstage with Miley and Jeremy Scott in the video below.
