Check Out Big Sean’s Latest Adidas Originals Sneaker Collab

by 6 mins ago

Big Sean has a knack for designing killer kicks, y’all. For his third collab with Adidas Originals, he decided to put his own spin on the ’80s favorite Metro Attitude Hi, which will drop next month. Even though Big Sean sold out his all-black Pro Model IIs last year, he still decided to go for a more colorful approach this time around–by decking out his sneaks in bold Hawaiian print.

The floral pattern is printed on snakeskin paired with on-point gold detailing, and Big Sean told Complex his inspiration came from the Hawaiian Islands. “I’ve spent a lot of time in Hawaii with the G.O.O.D. fam just recording. It’s one of those places where I just felt comfortable with myself and it’s where I had some of the best experiences and learned the best lessons of my life. It was cool to incorporate those experiences into the shoe. Every sneaker, I want to have a cool theme to it and tell a deeper story. We working from that perspective and adidas definitely helped conceptualize it. I’ve always got to come with something new and fresh. I’m going to keep it me and keep it Detroit, and have fun with it.”

Big Sean also noted that his “First Chain” lyrics are printed inside the shoes–in solid gold. He told Complex, “There’s been a lot of perks, really. You get to go ...

Here’s Why ‘Shake It Off’ Just Became Taylor Swift’s Second Ever No. 1 Song

by 2 mins ago

Taylor Swift thrilled Swifties a few weeks ago when she revealed all the info about her brand new album 1989 in a Yahoo livestream, and proceeded to share the record’s first single “Shake It Off,” along with the video for the track.

In the livestream, she explained that 1989 will be her first proper pop album—effectively stating that she’s leaving her country roots behind. And apparently, that’s just what her fans wanted, because “Shake It Off” officially just hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts!

taylor-shakeset-1

Surely, this success is partially due to her stellar performance of the song at theVMAs in an old-fashioned, sparkly bralet and shorts two-piece—Tay Tay was definitely into a pants-free for the whole awards show.

The success of “Shake It Off” is a big deal, because it’s only Taylor’s second ever No. 1 track—the other being “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”—and taken together the songs reveal that big, danceable songs are just what she needs to stay on top. Despite her past success in country, 2012′s Red was Taylor’s first step out of the Nashville fold, and 1989 will see her shimmying her way into a full-fledged pop star.

But these two songs share another feature in common—they’re both anthems that empower girls—whether it’s by ditching toxic relationships or ignoring haters, the positive, independent message they send is clear. There will be no more teardrops ...

Listen To The First Song Off Logic’s Debut: ‘Driving Ms. Daisy’ Featuring Childish Gambino

by 9 mins ago

Logic has been prepping his debut album for some time now, and even told MTV News earlier this year that he had finished recording it in just two weeks.

Though we still don’t know exactly when it’ll drop, on Wednesday (August 27), the Maryland rapper gave us our first taste, with “Driving Ms. Daisy,” featuring Childish Gambino, which will be a bonus cut.

“I was actually on my headlining tour when I produced and wrote this record in one sitting,” he said of the track in an interview with Billboard. “I was deathly sick and dealing with a lot of problems, not personal so much as business and getting the album ready. I decided to put it on a song, and the fact [that] I produced it made it feel more honest to me. I gave the listener every aspect of my mind on this matter.”

At first, he wasn’t even planning on getting the “3005″ rapper on the track, but the collab happened because he genuinely liked the song.

“He doesn’t do a lot of features so it was dope to not only do a song with the homie, but someone I’m a fan of,” he added.

There’s no release date yet on Logic’s major label debut, but it should be out before the end of the year.

Emma Stone Is Rocking A Flawless New Bob In Venice

by 13 mins ago

The most lovable redhead in the world, Emma Stone, showed off her new, much shorter haircut today (August 27) at the 71st Venice Film Festival premiere of her movie “Birdman,” which releases nationwide on Oct. 17.

The 25-year-old looked stellar in a Valentino Couture dress as she walked the red carpet. Between her gorgeous, green dress and blunt new cut, all eyes were on Emma during the premiere. The long locks are gone and she’s back to rocking the bob, returning to last spring’s similar look. So no more long curls for Stone, but blunt, thick layers with a fringe of bangs on the side.

What do you think of Stone’s new bob? We think this red carpet look is Beyoncé-level flawless!

by 2 mins ago

Many people, including some celebrities, have spoken up in the aftermath of the shooting of Michael Brown by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Chief among those are many members of the hip-hop community, including J. Cole, T.I., Talib Kweli, and Killer Mike.

On Wednesday (August 27), some of rap’s biggest stars united to pay tribute to the late teen on a new song, “Don’t Shoot.”

“Time to take a stand and save our future/ Like we all got shot, we all got shot/ Throwing up our hands, don’t let ‘em shoot us,” the chorus rings out.

Hello Kitty Is Officially Not A Cat And Now Your Whole Life Is A Lie

by 10 mins ago

We have been lied to. As Hello Kitty is about to celebrate her 40th anniversary, Sanrio revealed some shocking news: She is not a cat. What?!?

Apparently, the adorable girly Japanese mascot with Kitty in her name that adorns everything from young girl’s bedrooms to Avril Lavigne music videos is not in fact, feline.

hk_starwarsSanrio

Here, Hello Kitty developed a mouth to express her shock.

This revelation about Hello Kitty, whose real name is Kitty White, happened when Christine R. Yano, an anthropologist who is curating for an upcoming Hello Kitty retrospective at the Japanese American National Museum, was corrected by Sanrio when she called the cute icon a cat.

“I was corrected — very firmly,” Yano revealed.”That’s one correction Sanrio made for my script for the show. Hello Kitty is not a cat. She’s a cartoon character. She is a little girl. She is a friend. But she is not a cat. She’s never depicted on all fours. She walks and sits like a two-legged creature. She does have a pet cat of her own, however, and it’s called Charmmy Kitty.”

I’m still not buying it, and frankly, I’m questioning everything in life. Next you’re going to tell me Mickey Mouse is a giraffe, and I don’t think I could handle it. Let’s look at this image of Hello Kitty.

Ignore those whiskers, cat ears and tail everyone because she is a little girl, remember. And now let’s look at this image of Charmmy Kitty.
