This ‘American Horror Story’ Teaser Isn’t That — OMG THREE LEGS!

by 19 mins ago

Rachel Berry’s Ohio homecoming on Season 6 of “Glee” isn’t the only Ryan Murphy shocker hitting the Internet today… The writer/producer also presented the first piece of official “American Horror Story: Freak Show” cast art, which The Hollywood Reporter premiered exclusively on August 27.

Focusing on what THR dubs a “troupe of curiosities” in 1950s Florida, the fourth season of the FX anthology series will feature cast newcomer Michael Chiklis as a “strong man” type, “AHS” lifer Sarah Paulson as a two-headed woman, and Jessica Lange as some sort of human-feather boa hybrid. Wait, she’s just wearing a feather boa. Either way, here for it.

For more info on “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” hit up The Hollywood Reporter!

And just in case you thought we were done here — surprise, bitch! A new “Freak Show” teaser video hit YouTube on August 26, and it features an acrobat with three legs swinging through the air on some sort of ring. Some sort of creeeeeeepy ring.

Just think of all the three-legged races she could win.

“American Horror Story: Freak Show” returns to FX on October 8.

Bad at filling out bios seeks same.

Did You Ever Think You’d See Michael Jackson Shmoney Dance To Bobby Shmurda? Now You Can

by 47 mins ago

At this point, it feels like just about everyone has either shmoney danced or remixed Bobby Shmurda’s viral hit “Hot N—a.”

And now, we get a little of both from Michael Jackson. Or, is it Shmichael Jackson?

A new track, posted by DJ Deathpool on YouTube, mashes up the Jahlil Beats-produced summer smash with the late King of Pop’s “They Don’t Care About Us.” The music video and lyrics for that 1996 single are set to the “Hot N—a” beat, and, well, it’s fantastic. The lyrics match up way better than you’d expect (especially the chorus), and there are even a few points where it looks like M.J. is breaking into a shmoney dance.

Hey, he always was an innovator.

‘Orange Is The New Black’ Star Laverne Cox Spills The Beans On Season 3

by 3 mins ago

The great and terrible thing about “Orange is the New Black” is that you can watch it all at once. Meaning, even if you press play on episode one on July 10 and say you’ll space out the 13 episodes over the course of 13 weeks, you’ll almost certainly be done by July 16 at the latest.

Luckily, actress Laverne Cox, who plays the trans inmate Sophia Burset on the show, is here to reassure us that season three is already almost in the bag.

“We started shooting season three the first week of June,” Cox told MTV News at the Video Music Awards on Sunday. “We should be done around the end of this year. It’s amazing.”

“I think more of [what we saw in season two], but what our show does so well is has a balance between the very serious and the comedic. If you just exist in tragedy all the time, it’s not so fun. I think human beings, to deal with a lot of tragedy, find ways to laugh about it. Find ways to be irreverent and keep their humanity in the face of really inhumane circumstances.”

Find out what else Cox had to say — including her thoughts on her upcoming projects — in the video, and be sure to watch season three of “Orange is the New Black” in 2015.

Soon We’ll Get To See Jennifer Lawrence And Bradley Cooper Make Out Again In ‘Serena’

by 1 min ago

You have a working heart, so of course you’re super obsessed with “Silver Linings Playbook” and will ship Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence’s characters until the cows come home. Of course. So what if we told you that Lawrence and Cooper had fallen in love on camera again?

Well, we are telling you that. And it’s real. And there are pictures.

In March 2012, ASLP (“After Silver Linings Playbook,” for the less savvy), Lawrence and Cooper shot “Serena” in the Czech Republic under director Susanne Bier. Based on the Ron Rash novel of the same name, Lawrence plays a Southern belle, Serena, in ’20s North Carolina, and her husband, played by Cooper, is a timber magnate. When Lawrence’s character is unable to get pregnant, she begins a downward spiral.

Though there isn’t yet a U.S. release date, the film hits U.K. theaters on October 24. A release here can’t be too far off.

Check out the very first pic of Lawrence in the movie, debuted today by stylist.co.uk.

‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Photos Shows Off Hawkeye’s New Look

by 9 mins ago

I know everyone is still really excited about dancing baby Groot and how good “Guardians of the Galaxy” ended up being, but I’d like to remind everyone that the next Marvel movie is “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Crazy, I know.

That being the case, we’re beginning to see more of the curtain officially pulled back, which is a nice change of pace from paparazzi photos. The latest reveal comes courtesy of Empire and their big preview article.

Those on-set spies gave us blurry look at Hawkeye’s brand new coat, but here we can see it in its fully, kind-of-silly glory.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” opens in theaters on May 1, 2015.

Writer/editor for MTV. If it involves cowboys, spies, or hitmen, I'm there. All three would be ideal.

If You’re Looking For Another G-Unit Break-Up, They Have A Message For You

by 19 mins ago

Now that G-Unit is back and reunited, 50 Cent’s squad is not looking back. On Monday, they released their first project in six years, The Beauty of Independence, and they say there’s more on the way. What fans won’t get, they promise, is another break-up.

“If you looking over here at G-Unit and looking for the downfall, then it’s hard on yourself, you’re making it hard on yourself,” Young Buck told MTV News on Thursday, just moments before the Unit recorded a special interview with SiriusXM’s Shade 45. “But if you’re looking over here at G-Unit and you’re looking for the success, yeah it’ll be easier on your eyes.”

Lloyd Banks says that the group only released a small portion of the music they’ve recorded since they came back together in June. He assures us that there are more EPs and albums on the way. “Right now we got like over 50 records recorded and the process for picking this EP was six records,” he said. “It reminds me of when we first started, because we didn’t have a lot of time to fall in love with a record like, Yo that’s my joint. Because by the time you lay that one down, we’re in the booth again. And then four or five records in one day.

“So they can expect the first six songs and then another EP following that and solo projects as well,” he confirmed.

The prospect of even more ...

‘Batman Eternal #21′ Finally Reveals The Series Big Bad(s)

by 13 mins ago

Each week, MTV News is breaking down the big moments in DC Comics’ “Batman Eternal,” the weekly series that just dropped two major villain-bombs as it enters its second act.

This week, we chatted over the phone with writer James Tynion IV about the reveals, as well as what this means for Batman – and his trusty manservant, Alfred:

MTV News: Normally I’d go through the issue bit by bit, but let’s just jump straight to the end, because dude! Jason Bard! What happened! He’s been betraying us all along?

BMETRL_21-29DC Comics

James Tynion IV: [Laughs] That was one of the twists, right at the beginning, that we knew we wanted to do. We knew we wanted to make the readers fall in love with a character who really seems to be on their side, and then we wanted to rip that out from under them, because we’re jerks like that.

I will say that his story is far from over, and it’s not a purely black and white story. Even though he’s clearly working on some kind of agenda, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t believe in the agenda is a part of.

This has been a plan from the beginning, to get Jason Bard to the place he is right now, in order to usher in the next level of terror in Gotham City.

MTV: Now is he really Jason Bard? Is he someone else entirely? Is he wearing a false face? What else can you tell us about what’s going ...

Awww, Lady Gaga And Tony Bennett Will Star In H&M’s Holiday Campaign

by 29 mins ago

We’re just going to call it now: Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett are our favorite couple of 2014. The besties collaborated on a jazz album (called Cheek to Cheek, which will be released this September) and just when we thought it couldn’t get any cuter, they announced this morning that they’ll be starring in H&M’s holiday campaign. Together. :’)

Lady Gaga posted a video on Instagram, and said, “Tony and I are excited to announce that we’re the stars of H&M’s holiday campaign” to which Tony replied, “That’s right–Lady and I, cheek to cheek, with H&M for the holidays.” Are y’all tearing up yet?

RELATED: 6 REASONS LADY GAGA’S JAZZ ALBUM MAKES SENSE

Judging from H&M’s Instagram teasers and Lady Gaga’s out-of-this-world French bulldog-print ensemble (is that Asia?!), we’re seriously hoping there will be tons more canine-themed ensembles come this Christmas. *crosses fingers*

Did Tony Die On ‘The Sopranos’ Finale? We Finally Got Our Answer

by 1 min ago

TV showrunners who have gone for ambiguous endings aren’t always met with thunderous applause — talk to Damon Lindelof from “Lost,” he’ll tell you all about it — and no TV ending in recent history seems to be as divisive as the finale of “The Sopranos.” But now, over seven years after the finale’s 2007 airdate, the show’s creator David Chase is finally here to answer the question on everyone’s mind:

NO. TONY SOPRANO DID NOT DIE IN “MADE IN AMERICA.”

There. Are you happy now, kids? The antihero who spawned later creations like Don Draper and Walter White did not die in a New Jersey diner, while “Don’t Stop Believin” played in the background. He might still be alive today, (though of course we know that the actor who played him, James Gandolfini, tragically is not) staring at ducks and sometimes even killing people.

The answer to this would-be eternal “is he dead” question came at the request of Vox writer Martha P. Nochimson, who has known Chase for years, but was still met with some hostility when she asked the Big Question. Still, the fact remains that Chase answered it.

“Just the fact and no interpretation,” Nochimson wrote. “He shook his head ‘no.’ And he said simply, ‘No he isn’t.’”
