Lifetime’s Brittany Murphy biopic is officially happening, and we’ve got the trailer to prove it.

Buzzfeed debuted the brand new trailer for “A Brittany Murphy Story” on Friday, and to say Lifetime’s take on the late star’s story is going to be melodramatic would be a massive understatement. In the trailer, we see star Amanda Fuller portray Murphy as she reaches her “Clueless” fame, then massively down-spirals due to paranoia, paparazzi attention, and prescription pills.

The trailer also depicts Murphy’s 2009 death from cardiac arrest at the age of 32, and it definitely seems like they’re going to make the whole thing into a very Lifetime murder mystery.

“What killed Brittany?” a member of the press asks Murphy’s grieving family.

“You did,” answers Murphy’s late husband Simon Monjack (Eric Petersen), who died five months after his wife. “You all killed her.”

Ariana Grande sure knows how to make Arianators feel special. This past week, the VMA performer gifted fans with four new tracks from My Everything (even her album title makes you feel loved) and even shared a photo of the album with a cute cat.

But if you still weren’t sure of her devotion, Ari dropped a teaser of “Only One.” The romantic, R&B-tipped track features the “Baby I” songstress swooning about a special someone. “You’re the only one,” she croons. ” ‘Cause you look twice as good as anyone I’ve ever met/ And your love just becomes better/ How could anyone forget?”

Coupled with a video background of fluffy clouds, there’s probably no way the dreamy song wouldn’t strike a chord in the heart of her only one.

Ariana’s not just teasing new music though. The multiple VMA nominee (Best Female, Best Pop to name a few) is also gearing up to take the stage — twice! — on Sunday night, when she’ll perform her hit “Break Free” and help Jessie J open the show with Nicki Minaj on “Bang Bang.”

We’ll add this to our list of “More Reasons To Be Excited About Ari’s My Everything,” which drops just one day after she takes the stage tomorrow for the MTV VMAs at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Demi Lovato is an incredible singer, performer, and actress– but most important, the girl can cook. On Saturday morning (August 23), the 21-year-old uploaded some instafood of her homemade breakfast: Oatmeal/egg white pancakes with cinnamon, honey and berries. Healthy AND inventive.

Ms. Lovato’s breakfast came with an inspirational Saturday morning quote: “If I can make it…ANYONE can! #votedemilovato”

Make her breakfast? Or a VMA-winning music video? That is open for interpretation. Demi is nominated in the Best Lyric Video category at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards for her song ‘Really Don’t Care.” Keep voting and don’t forget to tune in to the VMAs at 9 p.m. ET/PT tomorrow on MTV.

Ladies and gentlemen, Cody Simpson is in the building.

In front of more than 13,000 fans at Friday night’s show in Toronto, the Aussie singer showed off his moves, covering Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog.” Taking cues from the King, Simpson busted out the trademark hip swiveling, to the delight of the screaming girls in attendance — also replicating Elvis’ effect on women.

“When I ain’t on the guitar I like to get groovy to elvis,” Simpson posted to Twitter. Also looking on was manager Scooter Braun, who gave Cody props, saying “What!?! @codysimpson killin Elvis #hounddog!!”

And for posterity purposes, the original is still good 60-some years later.

What’s the first thing Maisie Williams — a.k.a. Arya Stark from “Game of Thrones” — is going to do now that she has her driver’s license? Why, go on a road trip with her onscreen sister, of course! Williams proudly announced to the entire universe (Twitter) that she passed the big test on Saturday, and Sophie Turner (Sansa) took a break from being Littlefinger’s emotional slave to suggest some sisterly bonding.

The art of photobombing takes years to get just right, but every once in a while, someone comes along who is born a master.

We might have found that master, and he’s not even a year old.

An unsuspecting woman was taking a routine selfie in a black dress, never realizing that the tiny photobombing expert was ready to ruin her shot.

The technique is flawless. The baby strikes a pose making it look like he’s growing off of the side of the black dress, as if he’s a miniature Cuato.

To put it another way, as one person tweeted so eloquently, “that’s some exorcist s–t.”

But really any way we try to describe it will come up short. It’s simply the photobombing work of a baby genius.

On Thursday, a report surfaced that Joe Budden had beaten his girlfriend in a New York City restaurant, before bringing her back to his New Jersey home, where the alleged incident continued. Then, early Saturday (August 23) morning, the headlines around the Slaughterhouse MC took another turn when the NYPD tweeted that the rapper was wanted for robbery.

There was no mention of the alleged beating in the tweet, which stated that Budden was wanted “for robbery/taking cellphone” from a 25-year-old woman in the early morning hours of August 18. They also included his height, weight and a photo.

Saturday afternoon, the New Jersey rapper took to Twitter to respond.

“I’m gonna sue the living sh– out u gentlemen. @NYPDnews,” he wrote. “Manhunt…. Suck my d–k, lol.”

Earlier this week, following the initial domestic violence allegations, Budden’s attorney gave MTV News the following statement:

Mr. Budden looks forward to an opportunity to responsibly deal with and address the allegations against him so he may establish the actual facts of the night in question. Mr. Budden has fully cooperated with the investigation. Mr. Budden asks for patience as the evidence and facts unfold to demonstrate the truth of his involvement and the real events that transpired on the night in question.” –- Nima Ameri, Esq.

R2-D2 is so devoted to charity, he risked his own circuits to help out with it.

The old bucket of bolts took up the mantle in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, although because C-3P0 wasn’t there to translate, we don’t know who nominated him.

R2 did take some precautions, wrapping himself in a protective layer so that the water and ice didn’t do too much damage to his circuits. Based on that sound R2 makes, I don’t know if it protected him too well.

A Tusken Raider did the honors of dumping the bucket on R2, though in a dark turn, used what appears to be another astromech droid’s head to do it. Hopefully, R2 left soon after this, because you know that Sand Person is going to be back later, and with greater numbers of ice buckets.

So it took him a bit longer to respond to 50 Cent’s challenge, but boxer Floyd Mayweather has given a roundabout nod to the rapper’s throwing of the gauntlet.

For those of you just joining us, 50 Cent taunted Mayweather on Thursday with an Instagram video daring him to submit video of him reading, “a full page out of a ‘Harry Potter’ book out loud without starting and stopping or f–-king up.” In return, 50 would donate $750,000 to the charity of Mayweather’s choice.

Well, Mayweather didn’t post a video, but he did toss up a pic demonstrating his math skills:

“Read this $72,276,000.00. God bless,” he captioned the snap.

Oh, boy. This really escalated quickly.
