Everyone’s invited to Sandra Bullock’s next Tupperware party.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures has acquired the rights to the novel “Tupperware Unsealed,” with the Oscar-nominated actress attached to star in the untitled project.

The “Gravity” star will bring the life of Brownie Wise, the sales executive responsible for pushing the brand of preparation, storage, containment and serving products to the top with her Tupperware parties idea, to the big screen.

In 1954, Wise was the first woman to ever appear on the cover of Businessweek. Four years later, on the precipice of the women’s liberation movement, Tupperware ousted the marketing guru for clashing with creator Earl Silas Tupper.

“As a writer-director, Tate has the rare and delicate ability to capture both the romanticism and restrictions of a time and place – in this case 1950′s suburban America,” said Hannah Minghella, president of Production for Sony. “His characters are both immediately recognizable while also uniquely iconic. Such was the magic of Brownie Wise. There is no one better than Sandy to play Brownie — they share a fierce bravery and independent spirit.”

Tate Taylor, who is on board to direct the film, will also pen the adapted screenplay with David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman.

I have to make a confession: Kiesza is giving me so much life right now. So much life, that I’ve been slain and reborn multiple times over. Like, I’m talking more life than a cat with a GameShark. That metaphor doesn’t even make sense if you think about it too much, but you know what? I literally do not care because the only thing worth caring about right now is Kiesza.

In case that name isn’t ringing any bells, I HATE YOU SO MUCH won’t hold it against you. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter is really only just starting to make it big in the U.S., even though her breakthrough single, “Hideaway,” has been on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 for 11 weeks and even peaked at No. 6. Healthcare? Poutine? Kiesza? Canada knows what’s up.

And now, the title track off of her Hideaway EP, released July 7, has charted at #9 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, with second single “Giant In My Heart” picking up steam at #47. Its accompanying video has even been nominated for Best Choreography at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards — because sometimes we can have nice things.

When Jeezy first signed Freddie Gibbs to CTE back in April 2011, it seemed like the perfect pairing. Who better than the Snowman to help usher in the Gary, Indiana street rapper?

Well, things didn’t go as planned and in December 2012, Gibbs had announced that he and Jeezy had amicably split ways. But in June 2013, Gibbs told MTV News it wasn’t all that amicable, saying he was tired of the “fake and the empty promises” from Jeezy and likened his one time collaborator to a “scary lil’ boy.”

Snowman has been quiet about the split, until now.

“I put him on a song with Eminem, I put him on a song with T.I., I put him on numerous mixtapes that I had,” Jeezy told veteran hip-hop journalist Elliott Wilson during an installment of his “The Truth” video series. “I took him on tour, I took him around the world, I spent money on videos that he didn’t use ’cause he didn’t like ‘em and it wasn’t his money.”

Jeezy insisted that he tried to get Gibbs signed to a major label, but together the pair couldn’t garner enough interest. “So at the end of the day my whole thing to him was, I took you to every label in the game, they don’t wanna sign you. I don’t have no reason– I love you, I think your music is dope, but they don’t wanna sign you,” he explained.

The Australian duo NERVO seem to have it all. Besides touring the world DJ’ing the twins are the well known for being the face of Covergirl, being part-time models, and now they are adding one more bullet point to their resumes: book publishers.

Mim and Liv started a kickstarter campaign in an effort to raise money for a new book dedicated to their fans. “We want to produce a super cool book with our fans for our fans, with all of our favourite memories and discoveries from the summer,” the explain on the kickstarted page. They are encouraging their fans to tweet and instagram their favorite memories with the hashtag #NERVOuncovered.

If the project raises £60,000 (around $102,000) every fan will receive a piece of NERVO merchandise, but £35,000 or $60,000 is the goal to move into production. The best part is, you don’t have to invest to be a part of the project, just post your own photo! Here are some of the best we’ve seen so far on instagram.

Let’s face it: Rap videos can be like Mad Libs. Fill in the blanks with [expensive] car, exotic destination, liquor brand, nightclub of choice, some homeys. Compile. Complete. Not this year’s batch of MTV VMA nominees for Best Hip-Hop Video though.

What’s amazing about the 2014 crop is that each took a different approach to making a music video. Stylistically, visually, length-wise, even in the way that the clips engage with the viewer — every video stands on its own.

There may be only one winner, but there will be no losers in this category on Sunday, August 24. Here’s why.

Kanye West “Black Skinhead”
Release Date: July 21, 2013

Yeezy unleashed a fury with his “Black Skinhead” visual, his second from Yeezus. After a version of the video was leaked in early July ’13, ‘Ye delivered the official version a couple weeks later. There wasn’t much changed, other than an added interactive component, with a middle finger for a cursor. Kanye collaborated on the work with Nick Knight, who had previously shot West and wife Kim Kardashian, and later directed them in the “Bound 2″ video.

The “Skinhead” vid is as aggressive as the song itself, featuring a CGI version of the rap star, shirtless, gyrating on screen throughout, with occasional cuts to shots of ferocious-looking dobermans. Fitting, since there’s no doubt that ‘Ye’s a beast.
