Fun.‘s Andrew Dost has proved he knows how to make music for starting a bar fight and pulling an liquor-fueled all-nighter, but that’s not at all his intention this time.

Mainly because it’s not for you, but for your dog. Yep, the multi-instrumentalist wrote a four-minute song for DOGTV, a two-year-old network that describes itself as “the perfect babysitter for dogs who have to stay home alone.”

And since he knows you don’t want your dog breaking beer bottles and causing a “We Are Young”-like ruckus when you’re not around, this one’s a bit more subdued than what you’re used to from the rock trio, using primarily harp and piano — with an occasional dog pant thrown in — and rarely louder than a murmur.

“I approached this composition project differently than I would for human ears. I made sure the range of frequencies and instrumentation were tailored to a dog’s unique sense of hearing and kept things musically more level and linear,” Dost said in a statement to the Associated Press on Tuesday (July 8).

The song premiered on Monday during a relaxation segment, according to the AP. The segments include “relaxing and stimulate content” that is meant to keep dogs calm and peaceful while their owners are away, according to the network’s website. The song is accompanied by equally tranquil images of the oceanside, a park, and a forest.

Instead of going back and forth with MMG labelmate Meek Mill about his supposed “hating,” the D.C. MC dropped a new single, “The Followers,” on Tuesday (July 8) to shift the focus back to music.

Backed by the boom bap production of Pro Reese and Marce Reazon, Folarin shines on the track with a barrage of introspective, yet braggadocios lyrics.

“Oh, that’s swag? Call me trash, who y’all source?/Cause y’all shit, the way I see it, you all lost,” he raps.

After the first verse, there’s an interlude featuring a quote from “The Switch” episode of “Seinfeld,” cementing the chances that this song will end up on the final tracklisting of Wale’s upcoming LP, Album About Nothing.

“The point is I intend to undertake this. And I’ll do it with or without you. So if you’re scared, if you haven’t got the stomach for this, let’s get it out right now! And I’ll go on my own. If not, you can get on board and we can get to work! Now what’s it going to be?” says Jerry Seinfeld.

Once he’s back in the pocket of the beat, the Gifted rapper doles out sonic couplets that highlight his status as a hip-hop tastemaker.

“Folarin life comin’ though, camera look like PornHub, closet look like Karmaloop,” he raps.

Album About Nothing is slated for release this fall.

Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from husband Rick Salomon after the two were remarried in January.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, Anderson cited “irreconcilable differences” when she filed paperwork on July 3, not even six months after the two tied the knot again. They were previously married in 2007 before Anderson had the marriage annulled in February of 2008.

Before that, Anderson was married to Kid Rock for four months before she filed for divorce. Her marriage to Tommy Lee, however, was less short-lived. The couple was together for three years and have two sons together, Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee.

AMC is making a big bet on some big chairs. The country’s second largest movie chain is rolling out a plan to replace normal seats in theaters with La-Z-Boy-like recliners. There are even footrests.

Hygiene issues aside — think of all the new crevices for food! — the experiment has already paid off at the 37 theaters AMC fit with the seats. Tickets sale are up 60 percent in those theaters, despite each screen fitting between 50 percent and 70 percent fewer people.

This is just the latest attempt by theaters to lure audiences back to the big screens. With 3-D, IMAX, restaurant service and recliners already rolling out across America, theater owners are always looking for the next gimmick to combat the ease of home video, piracy and OnDemand.

As someone who thinks a dark theater is still the best way to see a movie, I can think of a few innovations that would help, and they don’t involve special glasses or really comfy chairs.

21+ Screenings
You can’t blame kids for being kids. They’re excitable. They’re loud, easily distracted. They’re essentially everything that can ruin a theater experience in one tiny package. Theaters should provide adults — both parents and non-parents — an opportunity to see any movie, even kid-friendly fare, without kids. Because sometimes I want to see “The LEGO Movie” without someone screaming about not getting enough popcorn.

And while theaters are adding adult-only shows, why not add some of the other adult perks by servicing beer ...

Courtney Love will soon be playing with some doll eyes, doll mouth, doll legs — as a preschool teacher on “Sons of Anarchy!”

The legendary grunge rocker will join FX’s dark, gritty biker drama for its seventh and final season, reports TVLine. She’ll be playing Jax’s (Charlie Hunnam) son Abel’s preschool teacher, Ms. Harrison, for a “pivotal” multi-episode arc, which will kick off during episode four.

Now, this all sounds very love-ly, but in case you’ve missed the last couple of seasons of “Anarchy” — spoilers ahead — Ms. Harrison is walking right smack into a very terrible situation. Abel’s stepmother was recently murdered by his grandmother, Gemma (Katey Sagal), leaving Jax and his newly sober ex (and Abel’s mother) Wendy in very precarious situations. Gemma, Jax, and Wendy have all already proven that they’ll do anything — violence included — to protect Abel, so let’s hope Ms. Harrison doesn’t need to be the girl with the most cake, and is content with sharing.

“Sons” will mark Love’s first appearance on a television drama, but she earned a Golden Globe nom for 1996′s “The People vs. Larry Flynt,” so she should be perfectly capable of handling the show’s heavy material. The real question is — can she handle Gemma?

“Wild ‘N Out” host Nick Cannon says there’s a reason Season 6 is more rambunctious than ever before.

“I think they got a lot of the celebrity guests intoxicated before they went out onstage, because they just came out and did and said whatever,” Nick reveals in the Bossip interview, below. And that certainly made for some interesting times.

“You can expect some feelings to really get hurt, a few lawsuits, a couple of breakups,” Nick says before admitting that, at times, things do go a little too far — and that not every guest has a sense of humor about it.

“When you watch these Wildstyle battles and you watch these jokes, feelings are really getting hurt,” he says. “Some of the toughest rappers just don’t know how to take it.”

Nelly will be the next MC to battle Nick for the comedy championship belt on tomorrow night’s show, so can he take a joke? Find out on MTV2′s “Wild ‘N Out” at 11/10c!

“Pretty Little Liars” will officially air its 100th episode on July 8, and my oh my, look at how far we’ve come. Alison is alive, multiple members of local law enforcement (and Shana) are dead, and Hanna even dyed her hair! On paper, the ladies of Rosewood have really come a long way.

But when you look a little bit deeper, everything is pretty much the same as it was on day one. Nobody knows who tried to kill Alison, Aria is still in love with Ezra, and the uber-A remains as elusive as ever. We’d say we don’t know how this happened, but we definitely do — it’s the lies! When everybody keeps lying to everybody else, nothing gets done, and no show has proved this better than “Pretty Little Liars.”

The latest episode of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” should have been called “Here Comes the Bride,” because it was all about tying the knot for everyone’s favorite denizens of ATL’s music scene.

Kalenna Harper’s already married, but her trysts and turn-up sessions with longtime friend Ashley were driving a wedge between her and her husband, Tony.

“I gotta admit, my husband was right — Ashley’s been a distraction,” Kalenna said.

After Kalenna and Tony had a “come to Jesus” talk about getting back on track musically and bringing their 7-year-old son home from her parents’ house in Texas, Kalenna realized it was time to end it with Ashley.

“I want my son, and right now the only way I know how to do that is to stay focused,” she said, after explaining to Ashley that she loves her husband “more, more” and not a “different more” than her.

Tammy Rivera brought New York Fashion Week to Atlanta with her T. Rivera fashion show.

“T. Rivera fashion show is like a dream come true to Tammy,” Waka Flocka Flame said. “I cannot make her as happy as T. Rivera fashion can. That’s her husband if you ask me.”
