“Girl Meets World” premiered to sky-high ratings Friday night, but before its Disney Channel debut, we’d been waxing nostalgic about “Boy Meets World.” Lucky for us, we had the chance to sit down and chat with the man who starred in the original and is reviving his character in the sequel: Ben Savage.

So what was on Ben’s mind? Lotsa stuff, including one of our favorite characters from “Boy Meets World,” Mr. Feeny. In the video, below, Ben dishes on what the man behind the mustache and the sweater vests was like in real life.

“Bill [Daniels] was like Yoda,” he says. “He was just, kind of, this mythical character that would come on set and everyone would get quiet. And he would say something, and you would listen.” Ah, powerful presence, he was.

A grown-up Cory Matthews has been said to be the next Feeny on “GMW” — he’s now a history teacher at his daughter’s school — but Ben insists it’ll take a few more years of practice and several sweater vests before his character can live up to that legacy.

“Cory is a far cry from that,” he says. “He endeavors to be Feeny.”

Forget Beyonce and Jay Z’s “Partition” performance or Pharrell’s brave (yet, um, questionable) decision to wear Uggs onstage (or in public, or ever). My favorite moment from the 2014 BET Awards came courtesy of Ms. Nicki Minaj.

While Iggy Azalea was performing “Fancy” on Sunday night (June 29), the camera panned to the “Pills N Potions” rapper in the audience. Without missing a beat, Nicki was posing for the cameras, giving major duckface, and dancing all seductively without ever breaking eye contact.

Needless to say, I felt morally obligated to make GIFs out of this already-iconic moment in the history of Her Minajesty. I literally couldn’t have created a better “Me at Your Son’s Open-Bar Wedding Reception” GIF set if I’d tried.

It’s likely this moment will be used as further evidence that Nicki and Iggy have some kind of silent beef brewing. Many wondered if part of the Queens rapper’s acceptance speech for Best Female Hip Hop Artist (“When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.”) was meant as a slight against the Aussie native.

Factually speaking, one thing is certain: Nicki Minaj is the new queen of the awards-show audience reaction shots. Sorry, Taylor Swift!

Things may be getting serious between Khloe Kardashian and French Montana. The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star celebrated her 30th birthday with friends and family over the weekend on a yacht in New York City and she packed on the PDA with her new boyfriend.

Khloe, rocking a gorgeous “goddess dress,” and French were spotted kissing and cuddling as they sailed around the city, one night after they attended Khloe’s pre-birthday party at a nightclub in the Bronx.

The rapper reportedly bought the reality TV star three pieces of jewelry and a white Jeep.

Also partaking in the festivities were Khloe’s “clique”: sisters Kim, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie, who looked to be having a great time with Khloe’s new man. They took full advantage of the luxury yacht that Kendall described as so big you could “PARK TEN TAHOES ON IT”

According to momager Kris Jenner, guests sipped on champagne as they sailed around the city taking in the sights of the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty.

Last night (June 29) HBO premiered its highly anticipated pilot for “The Leftovers.” And like most HBO pilots, it spent a good deal of time thrusting the viewer into a world without context, introducing characters we don’t quite know or understand.

But you know, really well shot, acted and intriguing enough to guarantee we’re coming back for episode two.

With that first 75 minutes out of the way, though, comes questions; and some of them, we were able to get the cast of the show to answer while on the red carpet of the premiere here in New York:

The Disappearance Of Eleanor’s Baby
Natalie Gold plays the mom at the opening of the show whose busy morning ends in her screaming baby disappearing, signaling the beginning of the Sudden Departure. So how do you play something like that, anyway?

“I have a 20-month-old daughter now, at the time she was a year old,” Gold told MTV News. “It was tough to play, but not hard to get into a place of, if the unimaginable happened, how one would feel, and freak out.”

And then, surprisingly, Gold shows up again at a bar frequented by Justin Theroux’s Kevin Garvey. This isn’t the last time we’ll see Gold’s character, though.

“I come back, sprinkled a little bit, here and there,” Gold said.

Lady Gagas have taken over Westminster. Lady Gagas. Plural.

No, cloning has not become widespread, and no, this isn’t one of Mother Monster’s latest spectacles. A horde of protesters took on Gaga’s likeness to save a historic landmark in London, toting signs that said “Save Smithfield.”

Gaga retweeted the protesters’ efforts on Monday morning (June 30) to their surprise. The group dressed up in Kermit the Frog dresses, dyed their hair yellow, wore “Poker Face” sunglasses and paraded around in underwear. They handed out fruit and Save Smithfield postcards, according to group’s website. They were hoping to save the Victorian market building from redevelopment.

Their tagline? “You’d have to be gaga to tear down Smithfield.”

We could never define the success of Jennifer Lawrence, magic Hollywood pixie and patron saint of pizza cravings, in purely numerical terms. But for those who do do that sort of thing, the numbers are in: Forbes estimates the “Hunger Games” star’s earnings over the past year at a whopping $34 million, making her the highest-ranked actress on its yearly Celebrity 100 list.

Lawrence is number twelve overall on the list, which measures financial clout within the entertainment world and includes actors, musicians, television hosts, writers, directors and models in its rankings.

At the age of 23, her showing is impressive; she’s one of the five youngest celebs to make the cut, ranking above Hollywood veterans like Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock, as well as her “Silver Linings Playbook” co-star Bradley Cooper.

Also of note: Lawrence even out-earned fellow X-Man Hugh Jackman, just in case you needed another reason to lobby for a Mystique standalone film.

With two major franchises and three Oscar nominations under her belt, it’s no surprise that Lawrence’s wealth is on par with her star power. And with each movie in the “Hunger Games” franchise outperforming the last at the box office, we wouldn’t be surprised to see her creep into the top ten next year.

The word “redskin” is getting a whole new designation on Dictionary.com when it comes out with its next edition: It’s officially being labeled as “disparaging and offensive” — in all cases, not just some.

“In our next update, we’re removing ‘often’ so the label just reads ‘Slang: Disparaging and Offensive,’” Jane Solomon, senior content editor and lexicographer at Dictionary.com, told MTV News.

There has been a lot of buzz about the word of late, as the Washington Redskins’ name was put in peril when the United States Patent and Trademark Office canceled six federal trademark registrations for the team name because it’s “disparaging to Native Americans.”

A high school in Pennsylvania also thrust the term into the public eye when student editors lobbied to censor the word, which is also their mascot, and the school board responded by passing a policy requiring them to print it in editorials and letters to the editor. They are currently considering a lawsuit.

“We have a Native American parent in our district who filed a complaint [against the term], so one of the editors started to listen to it — well, we all started to listen to what she was saying and then one of the editors suggested we should take a stand ourselves,” the paper’s student editor, Gillian McGoldrick, told MTV News.

Either something has gone wrong on the “Jurassic World” set, or everyone is pretty much going according to plan.

Those are the two possibilities you have to consider when director Colin Trevorrow posts a picture to Twitter of a bloody handprint on the side of a veterinary trailer.

This being the fourth movie in the “Jurassic Park” series, I have to assume that the handprint is meant to be there because of some dino-related accident, as opposed to a real-life onset one, because that would be very uncool and probably not appropriate for a TwitPic.

But bad news in the world of “Jurassic World” is good news for us because we’ll be the ones who get to enjoy the dinosaur chaos when the new movie starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard hits theaters on June 12, 2015.

Busta Rhymes promised that when he and Eminem finally released “Calm Down,” that there would be a whole lot of rapping and the Dungeon Dragon did not disappoint.

The track won’t be on iTunes until July 1, but on Monday (June 30), Beats Music posted the audio to their YouTube page. The Scoop DeVille-produced track starts with the same unforgettable horn stab that House of Pain used on their 1992 hit “Jump Around.” The beat banger drops his concussive drums and sets the stage for an all-out lyrical assault.

Busta sets things off with his patented growl. “Oh my lord, lower the casket down/ Sprinkle the ash or get your a– kicked, pow,” he raps before turns his bravado up, bragging of his rhyme prowess for almost three minutes straight.

When Eminem finally takes over, he tosses the inspirational rap he’s displayed on songs like “Monster” and “Not Afraid” and goes into full “8 Mile” battle mode.

“Who raps nasally, eyes hazely/ Rhymes crazily, but sounds like a anus,” he spits in his tightly packed rhyme couplets before sending a shout to MTV’s own Sway Calloway.

“Don’t make me go take it back to the days of old/ Of Sway and Tech radio when I was taking so much no doze and LSD, I almost fell asleep on the Wake Up Show,” he goes on.

You’d think a song about undies would be a little immature, right? Well, ever since 5 Seconds of Summer was able to fit an American Apparel underwear reference in their love song “She Looks So Perfect,” we know that’s not true. And now that Ed Sheeran‘s covered it, we’re swooning all over the place.

Sheeran strips down the tune, relying only on acoustic guitar as he tends to do. He shoots the notes into a falsetto and makes the lyrics even sweeter and lighter, as if he were placing each one gently into the air.
