Adam Levine Asks Himself: Am I A Douchebag?

by 9 mins ago

Adam Levine has been described as a lot of things: Maroon 5 frontman, Sexiest Man Alive, coach on “The Voice” and… a douchebag.

That’s right, Adam a.k.a. “hot douche,” hasn’t gotten the best rap over the years, mainly because of the questionable things he has said, but he promises he’s really not that bad…he thinks.

adam

“Would it be really easy to assume that I was a douchebag?” he told GQ magazine. “Definitely. One hundred percent. But that doesn’t mean that I am.” He thinks for a minute. “Or maybe I am, I don’t know.”

To truly get to the bottom of it, Adam asked himself the hard questions, “to find out, once and for all, definitively, whether or not I’m a douchebag.”

Adam argues that there are three ways to tell if you are a douchebag: lack of self-awareness, conceitedness and insecurity.

“I’m not arrogant,” he protests. “I’m cocky. It’s different. Cocky is playful…” he said. “I’m confident. Some people don’t like confidence. They resent confidence.”

He continued, “You know what the gist of this article is?” he asks. “Your opening line can be: ‘You don’t have to like me, but I’d prefer it if you did.’ That’s kind of how I feel. I’m not the easiest person to love right off the bat, you know. If I knew everyone in the world, they would love me. Every single last f–king one of them.”

To further prove that Adam, who just released “Maps” with ...

‘The Notebook’: 11 Hilarious References For The 10th Anniversary

by 14 mins ago

What’s the number one way to convey the fact that someone is either sad, in tune with his or her own feelings, or way too macho to care about romance? Well, ever since June 25, 2004, the answer to that question has been “show that person crying while watching ‘The Notebook,’ admitting that he or she cried during ‘The Notebook,’ or referencing how much he or she can’t stand ‘The Notebook,’” respectively.

It’s now officially been ten years since the iconic Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams-starrer came out, but everyone — from your favorite movies and TV shows to the actual celebs who star in them — still can’t stop referencing it. (Heck, even MTV’s own “Teen Wolf” made a “Notebook” joke. It’s an addiction!) So in honor of Gosling and McAdams’ decennial anniversary, we’ve compiled 11 of our favorite “Notebook” mentions from the past ten years:

1. ‘Saturday Night Live’ (2005)

We knew SNL digital shorts were going to be a thing when Samberg admitted, “I love those cupcakes like McAdams loves Gosling.”

2. ‘Just Friends’ (2005)

Nothing gets Reynolds fired up quite like movies starring the other Ryan.

3. ‘The Big Bang Theory’ (2010)

Howard proved himself to be heartless when he revealed that McGosling just isn’t his thing.

4. One Direction (2011)

Want to start a fight between the dudes of 1-D? Mention that you don’t like “The Notebook.”

5. ‘Horrible Bosses’ (2011)

Charlie Day’s character chooses the film as his boss-stakeout viewing material, which is an… interesting… selection.

6. ‘Teen Wolf’ (2011)

Jackson will do anything to please ...

Ashley Rickards Is More Scary Than Awkward In Exclusive ‘At The Devil’s Door’ Trailer

by 28 mins ago

Two of your favorite TV actresses are teaming up for a deal with the devil.

Specifically, I’m talking about “At the Devil’s Door,” a new horror movie that we’re exclusively debuting the trailer for, which stars “Awkward’s” Ashley Rickards and “Glee’s” Naya Rivera.

“At the Devil’s Door” tells the story of Leigh (Catalina Sandino Moreno), a real estate agent who takes on a property with a particularly dark history. Specifically, the daughter of the previous owners went missing. Her parents suspected her troubled boyfriend, but when the girl (Rickards) reappears, it seems that the real problem was much more powerful than some boy.

I’m talking about the Devil.

In an attempt to help the girl, Leigh gets pulled into the Satanic troubles. Rivera plays Leigh’s sister, Vera, and I imagine things don’t go so well for her either.

Check out the exclusive trailer above!

“At the Devil’s Door” hits VOD and all digital platforms on August 8 and opens in theaters on September 12.

Ariana Grande Steals A Birthday Kiss From Mickey Mouse: See Her BDay Pics

by 3 mins ago

Instead of hopping from bar to bar in celebration of her first legal drink, Ariana Grande has decided to spend her 21st birthday at the happiest place on earth: Disney World.

The “Problem” singer took over the Magic Kingdom in Florida to party with the King of Disney, Mickey Mouse, as she stole a kiss wearing her very own set of mouse ears. Better watch out, Minnie!

“Spending my last few days as a non 21 year old in one of my favorite childhood places with my favorite people,” she captioned the pic.

And some of those people included manager Scooter Braun, who posted an adorable photo of Ariana, who was still rocking those Minnie ears, taking in a ride at the amusement park.

Ariana was also seen outside of Cinderella’s castle with the fairytale princess and Prince Charming who gifted Ariana with a birthday cake, which looks almost too good to eat. Almost.

Lana Del Rey Or Sam Smith: Who Won The Album Sales Battle?

by 11 mins ago

Lana Del Rey set out to make a killing with the release of her new album Ultraviolence and did so by narrowly nabbing the top spot on the charts last week, according to data from Nielsen SoundScan.

The dynamic pop singer moved just over 182,000 copies of her LP, edging out UK sensation Sam Smith, who is having a real crossover moment in the States. Smith’s In the Lonely Hour sold almost 166,000 copies in its debut week on the U.S. chart, while rockers Linkin Park grabbed the third spot with their new album Hunting Party.

The unstoppable “Frozen” soundtrack is still in the top five after 30 weeks on the chart, while Jennifer Lopez’s A.K.A and Deadmau5′s While (1<2) slid into the top ten at #8 and #9 respectively.

The iTunes albums list tells a similar story, with Del Ray and Smith holding the top two slots. Ed Sheeran, who released his X album on Monday, has built enough steam to nab the third spot on iTunes, setting him up for a possible No.1 on next week’s SoundScan after a full week of data is tallied.

Aaron Paul And Norman Reedus Are Having An Epic Bromance: See The Pics

by 15 mins ago

While we were all going about our lives, minding our own business, something truly wonderful was happening down in the wilderness of Atlanta — Jesse Pinkman and Daryl Dixon, or Aaron Paul and Norman Reedus, if we’re being politically correct — were becoming fast friends. And posting photos about it.

Paul and Reedus, who both starred (or, in Reedus’ case, is still starring) on groundbreaking AMC dramas in fan-favorite sidekick roles, are currently busy shooting the heist movie “Triple Nine” down in the ATL, where Reedus is also busy filming season five of “The Walking Dead.” Their social media accounts have made it very clear that a bromance is forming, as both actors (as well as their costar Clifton Collins Jr.) just can’t stop posting goofy behind-the-scenes photos from the film, which sounds pretty awesome. (“A group of corrupt police officers are blackmailed into pulling off a seemingly impossible heist. They plot the murder of a rookie police officer in order to orchestrate a ’999,’ code for ‘officer down’, to pull off the heist across town,” says IMDB. Also, Kate Winselt, Woody Harrelson and “12 Years A Slave” star Chiwetel Ejiofor are in it. So there’s that.)

Anyway, here’s a picture Reedus posted of Jesse Pinkman pointing right at you, captioned only “999″ because Normski isn’t a huge fan of words:

And here’s one of the boys (including Collins) paling around, captioned — “#regram This is what my mornings are looking like lately and I’m loving it. ...

‘Mockingjay’ Teaser Proves The Movie Will Be Better Than The Book

by 8 mins ago

How good is the teaser for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1″ that was just released this morning? So good that despite some strong reservations about the content of the book its based on, I can not wait for this movie.

Spoilers for “Mockingjay” past this point.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the “Hunger Games” books. I’m a dyed-in-wool Tribute, through and through. But the book “Mockingjay” is a bizarre ending for the trilogy, spending the majority of its running time with a near catatonic Katniss refusing to step up and be the hero we want her to be.

She gets addicted to drugs, mostly engages in publicity ops rather than action and only does anything remotely heroic at the very end of the book; though even her eventual call to action is a move that feels very much like giving up.

Not the greatest fodder for a movie, let alone two movies…

But then the ad campaign for the first of two “Mockingjay” films has started to rev up, and even someone like me, who has trepidations about the whole affair, is starting to get excited.

The reason is the tone. Not that “Hunger Games” started in a very happy place — what with the kids killing each other in death games and all — but “Catching Fire” revved up the darkness for the series in a big way. With Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) captured and brainwashed by the Capitol and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) sending out fascist messages to the ...

This Is What Brody Jenner And Stephanie Pratt Thought Of Speidi’s ‘Wife Swap’

by 29 mins ago

Friends and family are there to support you through thick, thin and, in the case of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, trading partners on national television.

On last night’s “Celebrity Wife Swap,” Heidi and Olympic gold medalist Amanda Beard switched lives, husbands and houses for a week. And Mr. Pratt’s bud Brody Jenner (who’s no longer feuding with Spencer) and his sister Stephanie Pratt (who’s also no longer feuding with Spencer) had plenty to say as viewers.

Stephanie, who’s never had trouble speaking her mind, predicted she’d be in for some craziness before the episode even aired. “Bahaha 4 dogs & a baby can’t wait to LMAO watching you guys on @abc @WifeSwap tonight @heidimontag @spencerpratt,” she tweeted with a photo of a sneak peek in which the former “Hills” villain is struggling to corral a gang of pups.

Brody, on the other hand, waited to offer his two cents until about halfway through the episode. That’s when Spence’s temporary wife Amanda introduced him to a few FBI agents after getting word that he was fascinated by the government organization. “I am dying over here,” Brody texted his pal, according to Spencer’s Instagram shot. (Note that Jenner is listed in Spencer’s phone as “Prince Brody.”)

‘The Good, The Bad And The Ugly’ Star Eli Wallach Dies

by 36 mins ago

Eli Wallach, the receipt of an honorary Oscar and one-third of the “Good, the Bad And the Ugly” titular trio, has died at the age of 98.

The Brooklyn-born actor made his big screen debut in “Baby Doll,” written by Tennessee Williams and directed by Elia Kazan, but made a name for himself starring in westerns like “The Magnificent Seven” and as Tuco “The Ugly” in Sergio Leone’s “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”

It is for that Spaghetti Western that Wallach will most likely be remembered, and for good reason. Tuco is a classic character and a showcase for Wallach’s many talents.

‘Game Of Thrones’ Season Five: Is [SPOILER] Returning To Help Arya Stark?

by 16 mins ago

Warning: Possible spoilers for “Game of Thrones” season five are ahead.

All men must die — and all men must return.

The Faceless Man known as Jaqen H’ghar looks poised for a “Game of Thrones” comeback on the HBO fantasy show’s upcoming fifth season. Winter Is Coming reports that actor Tom Wlaschiha will reprise his role as the face-changing assassin in season five of “Thrones,” his first appearance since he helped Arya escape the harrowing halls of Harrenhal back in season two.

HBO has not confirmed Wlaschiha’s return to the series, so consider the news nothing more than rumor for now. Still, it’s a pretty exciting possibility, considering what book-readers know of Jaqen’s role in the future of the series.

On that note, BOOK SPOILERS ahead.

Jaqen returns at the start of “A Feast for Crows,” the fourth novel in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, using a new face and name to infiltrate the Citadel of Oldtown, where Westeros’ many maesters are trained. Jaqen’s reason for coming to Oldtown isn’t clear quite yet, but many fans speculate he’s aiming to steal an artifact that could have devastating consequences for the future of the “Ice and Fire” odyssey.

It’s possible that Jaqen’s Oldtown story will come into play during season five, but given the current position of many characters on the show, and the fact that the show is starting to deviate from the books more and more with each passing episode, there’s another scenario worth considering.

Stemming ...
