11 More Cards Against Humanity Cards Lance Armstrong Could Have Gotten

by 05/18/14

Regardless of your opinions on Lance Armstrong and his legacy, you have to admit: this run-in of his with the deliciously dark and hilarious-in-a-terrible-way game Cards Against Humanity is pretty freaking hilarious.

The self-described “card game for terrible people” has several choice cards from which you can pick in order to expose your truly messed-up inner self to your friends. Only when Armstrong was playing, it seems, things sidestepped the metaphorical and went straight for the delightfully literal.

Needless to say, surely the not-so-stifled gigglegaggle was on high alert during this game.

But, to be fair to Armstrong: It could’ve been a lot more awkward. After all, Cards Against Humanity is the gift that keeps on giving, with several cards in each pack left blank so that you and your fellow revelers might bring slightly more personal humor (true or not) to the game. Meaning it could’ve been very easy for Armstrong to have pulled one of these [completely made-up] cards instead:

1. “Lying about blood doping to the World Anti-Doping Agency.”

2. “Getting taken to task by Oprah Winfrey on national television.”

3. “Sleeping on a giant pile of money you earned by cheating.”

4. “Recycling your blood to pass a drug test (ew).”

5. “Cheating a whole bunch during the Tour de France.”

6. “Ruining cycling for everybody.”

7. “Throwing your friends under the bus.”

8. “Disgracing the good name of the United States Postal Service…again.”

9. “Suing people for telling lies about you that are actually true.”

10. “Making everyone wear little yellow rubber bracelets and then lying to them.”

11. “Being ...

Watch Outkast Perform Live Tonight! 7 Things We NEED To Happen

by 05/18/14

There’s no reason to stop dreaming, right? Outkast will close out the 2014 Hangout Festival on Sunday night (May 18), and believe it or not, you will be able to watch it live starting at 10 p.m. ET at hangout.mtv.com.

In addition to hearing two hours of career-spanning classics from “Player’s Ball” to “Hey Ya,” here are a few things the people (and by “the people” I mostly mean me and Danny Brown) would love to see. In spite of the very slim chances that most of these things will actually come to fruition, we’ll just keep on wishing anyway and sit back and enjoy two hours of classic Outkast.

Songs From The Vault
There’s plenty of Outkast material that fans have never gotten a chance to hear live, but Danny Brown had some extra special requests when we caught up with him after his Hangout set.

“I would wanna hear something they don’t play live often like ‘Spottieottiedopaliscious’ and ‘Mamacita,’ something like that. Bring out Witchdoctor [and do] some real Dungeon Family stuff,” he said. “Or, my favorite, it’s not even an Outkast song, it’s [technically] a Goodie Mob/Dungeon Family song: ‘Black Ice,’ — I’d love to see them do ‘Black Ice.’ ”

A BRAND NEW SONG!
Sorry — excuse the caps. But yeah, with a slew of festival dates to cover this year, is it too difficult to find some time during those days off to record new material? We’re not asking for a full album, even a one-off ...

Bastille Suffer Brutal Turtle-Shark Attack (WARNING: Contains Graphic Imagery)

by 05/18/14

It’s a well-known fact around these parts of Alabama that sharks, with their beady little eyes and insatiable appetite for human flesh, can be deadly if provoked… or whenever they f*cking feel like destroying you.

Fortunately Hangout Fest performers Bastille put aside their characteristic British reticence when confronted with one dual devils — both a pernicious shark and deadly sea turtle — and in an act of trepidation, boldly went good old American psycho on the highly dangerous beasts.

Feeling invigorated by their valiant act, I bravely documented the brutal battle between Woody and the evil marine life. But I should warn you: The photos below are intense and may be difficult to view.

‘Game Of Thrones’: Predictions For Tonight’s Episode, ‘Mockingbird’

by 05/18/14

And then there were four.

Believe it or not, we are now officially within spitting distance of the “Game of Thrones” season four finish line, with only four episodes remaining between now and the excruciating wait for a fifth season of winter to arrive next spring. The Seven are cruel gods indeed.

As the season moves toward the end-game, expect an already crazy year of “Game of Thrones” to get even crazier. Here’s what you can expect to see from tonight’s episode, titled “Mockingbird.”

All Petyr Baelish, All The Time
Okay, maybe not all the time, but a lot of it. “Mockingbird” refers to the mockingbird pin Littlefinger wears, a symbol of the man without a noble-born cause. Littlefinger’s riding high these days, lording over Harrenhal from a distance, currently shacked in the Eyrie as the new lord of the Vale with new wife Lysa Arryn. What could possibly go wrong for this guy?

Sansa In The Snow
Winter is coming, as they say. Expect it to arrive tonight in the Eyrie, and expect it to produce a very memorable scene for Sansa Stark — one that fans of the books will especially appreciate.

Samwell In The Snow
Photos from tonight’s episode reveal that Sam Tarly, absent from the last couple of “Game of Thrones” outings, will be back in the mix in “Mockingbird.” Expect him to say the words “raven” and “craven” at least once each, because that’s how Sam rolls.

King’s Road Trip
Further photos reveal that Brienne of ...

Pamela Anderson Reveals History Of Childhood Sexual Abuse

by 05/18/14

Pamela Anderson is opening up about the sexual assaults that happened to her when she was a child. At a launch event for the Pamela Anderson Foundation, dedicated to protecting the rights of animals, she revealed the horrific experiences that led her to protect animals “and only them.”

“I feel now might be the time to reveal a few of my most painful memories,” the actress told an audience at a backgammon competition beach party the Foundation, according to the Daily Mail. “At the risk of over-exposing myself, again, or being inappropriate, again, I thought I might share with you why I am doing this.”

Anderson then recounted her first sexual experience as a harrowing one — her female babysitter molested her at the age of 6. At 12 years old, a friend’s “older brother decided to teach me backgammon, which led into a back massage, which led into rape – my first heterosexual experience,” Anderson said. “He was 25 years old and I was 12.” She also described how her first boyfriend organized for her to be gang raped.

“This meant I had a hard time trusting humans,” she continued. “My parents tried to keep me safe, but to me, the world was not a safe place. My dad was an alcoholic, my mom worked two jobs, my mom was always crying, dad didn’t always come home.”

She said animals and nature became her only companions.

“I prayed to the whales with my feet in the ocean, my only real ...

Hear Bradley Cooper As A Talking Space Raccoon In New ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Trailer Teasers

by 05/18/14

In just one day (Monday, May 19) we’ll be getting a brand new trailer for Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.” But if you can’t wait that long, the studio has been releasing teasers for the trailer in short, 15 second long increments… and they’re awesome.

Where the first full trailer focused on the humor of the piece, the teasers emphasize the action, the romance, and most importantly, the talking raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper:

Oh… Yeah. And while yet another trailer teaser doesn’t have any talking animals (or trees, as we have yet to hear Vin Diesel speak as the voice of sentient alien plant Groot), it does have some great looks at Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord letting his double-blasters do what they do best:

“Guardians of the Galaxy” also stars Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista as Gamora and Drax, respectively, as well as Karen Gillan and Lee Pace in the bad guy roles. The movie hits theaters on August 1.

The 1975 Will Make You Cry — Or Faint

by 05/18/14

Not only did The 1975 get super unbeachy at Hangout Fest — and bust out a stand-out performance — they also chatted with MTV News about their fans — as well as the possibility of new music.

Watching the gaggle of Brits take the stage at Hangout was certainly an overwhelming experience — what with Matt Healy going all Matt Berninger on a full bottle of red wine (all the wine is all for him), dive into the crowd to take snaps with his adoring fans, and just generally be shirtless and tattoo’d and … what was I saying again? Oh, yeah. The 1975: swoon-worthy.

And that’s not just a figure of speech, guys: According to Healy, “There’s a lot more crying and fainting that happens at our gigs [now].” Someone break out the smelling salts.

Check out the clip below to hear more about The 1975′s fan frenzy and, be still our hearts, the buzz on new tunes:

Childish Gambino Drops Mics, Knowledge & Much-Needed Dose Of Hangout Hip Hop

by 05/18/14

Hangout Festival‘s been dominated by an impressive array of bearded singer-songwriters slinging banjos and acoustic guitars and peddling hushed, chilldown folk tunes to barefoot crowds in peasant skirts and flower crowns. Unless you were at Childish Gambino‘s set. Because if you came to Hangout to, well, hang out, Childish’s set was not your place. If you came to be brainwashed by a steely eyed drill sergeant/cult leader/dance commander on a singular mission to drop a performance fiery enough to burn down the Gulf Shores boardwalk, then you got that.

Buoyed by his live band, Gambino revealed a tongue-twisting flow polished to perfection and a stage presence propelled by what could only be secret injections of rocket fuel or a hidden jetpack. On tracks like “IV Sweatpants,” Gambino carpet bombed the stage with swag, unapologetically dropping not just his mic but references to Jeff Goldblum, onomatopoeia, and (unsettlingly) the KKK for the rabid crowd to process.

On “3005,” one of his best-known tracks, and “III. Telegraph Ave.,” Gambino channeled The Love Below-era Andre 3000, revealing the trippy vulnerability and solitude (even in the midst of an audience transfixed) that make him one of the most diverse rappers in the game and bringing a much-needed (and greatly appreciated) dose of hip-hop to Hangout Fest.

Nicki Minaj Is ‘In Love’… With Her First Pink Print Single

by 05/18/14

By Carl Chery

Anaheim, CANicki Minaj’s fans have eagerly been awaiting the release of the first single off her highly anticipated third album, The Pink Print. Well, the wait is almost over now that the YMCMB star has set a solid release date for the unnamed track.

“I’m excited to drop the cover art for the new single on Monday and release the single on Wednesday,” Nicki told MTV News on Saturday, before she took the stage at Power 106’s annual Powerhouse concert, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. “I am very obsessed and in love with the single and I think it’s a great glimpse into The Pink Print. I think it’s a great indicator into what the album will feel like and so I’m super excited for my fans to hear it.”

Minaj is no stranger to autobiographical raps. She’s previously gotten introspective on songs like 2010’s “Moment 4 Life,” but if you let her tell it The Pink Print may be her most personal work to date.

“You know, I hate giving away too much before it comes out,” Minaj said. “It’s just a very truthful story. And it just feels right. It feels like love. It feels like lessons learned.”

The reigning rap queen is ready to pass on her feeling of elation to her fans. “I’m excited to make them feel a sense of love and a sense of growing up, musically and just as a woman,” she continued, “and lyrically to remind n—as ...
