‘Terminator: Genesis’ Begins Filming: Our Hopes, Dreams And Fears

Skynet is officially going back online. That's because "Terminator: Genesis," the start of a proposed new trilogy based on James Cameron's sci-fi series, has begun filming. The new tale of time travel and killer robots stars Emilia Clarke from "Game of Thrones," Jason Clarke and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning as the T-800 that started it all.

With two disappointing installments in a row, director Alan Taylor ("Thor: The Dark World") has a chance to turn around the "Terminator" franchise with an action movie that harkens back to what we loved so much about the original and its sequel.

Now that cameras are rolling on "Terminator: Genesis," these are my hopes, dreams and fears for the movie that premieres on July 1, 2015.

Hopes
» Of everything I'd like to see put back in the "Terminator" franchise, the heart of "Judgment Day" is what is in most need of a reboot.

» Jason Clarke is on the verge of an enormous and well-deserved breakout with "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes." Please don't ruin this for him.

» Same goes for Emilia Clarke!

» Arnold has had a hard time reestablishing himself as an action star in his post-gubernatorial career. Maybe going back to what worked the first time will help.

Dreams
» Is too much to ask for a T-1000 cameo? Robert Patrick can't be that busy.

» Let's get a little crazy with the time travel. Instead of just having robots sent back, let's follow someone through the time portal that makes you lose your clothes. The fact that John Conner is older than his mother suggests we're ...

Ellen Page Renames Every Dog On The Internet

Pet owners, take note: early in the morning of April 22, in the wee, dark hours before the dawn, Ellen Page might just have crept through the internet and given your dog a different name.

Choosing new names for people's four-legged friends is apparently a favorite pastime for the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" actress, who went on a veritable dog-naming spree after posting a confessional tweet.

Needless to say, the internet responded with violent enthusiasm at the chance to have their dogs renamed by Ellen Page.

Here's where it gets really weird: Ellen is actually, like, super good at dog naming. Look at this dog! He's obviously a Todd.

The dogs themselves didn't seem to realize that they had become part of an exciting new moment in Internet history.

And Ellen doesn't discriminate; when a cat wanted in on the action, he, too, received a fabulous new name.

The fun lasted for more than an hour, at which point the actress bestowed new monikers on two final candidates — one became "Freddie Prince Junior," the other, "Cork Tree" — and begged off her dog-naming duties in order to go to bed.

But now that we know that Ellen Page has this not-so-secret exceptional talent for giving dogs awesome names, don't think that you've seen the last of this. She could come back for round two at any moment! Dogs, prepare yourselves.

Ellen Page will next appear in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," opening in theaters on May 23.

Watch Ariana Grande Hold Back Tears While Meeting Jim Carrey

Most Arianators would cry at the opportunity to meet Ariana Grande. The talent! The personality! The ability to meet your idol — the person you look to every day but have never been able to talk to.

Well, sometimes we forget that our idols have idols too, which can be a bit mindblowing. After all, Ariana is a fan too!

Exhibit A: You see this Instagram vid? Yeah, that's Grande hard-core fangirling over comedian Jim Carrey. I mean, the girl is absolutely losing it.

Ariana, who released a teaser to "Problem" later in the night, swatted tears from her eyes as she went in for a hug. Seriously, who knew?

OK, just keep it classy. Stay calm.

Thanks, mom. At least everything went smoothly by the end.

Such weird advice, but it makes sense coming from one celeb to another. For some reason, I don't think you have to worry about Ariana though.

‘Walking Dead’ Could Last Ten Years Or More, Showrunner Says

"Ten more years! Ten more years! Ten more years!"

That's the translated chanting of millions of gathered walkers, groaning with one unified, ghastly voice in response to the news that could live on for more than a decade.

That's right: ten-plus years of "Walking Dead." At least, that's a possibility as envisioned by Scott M. Gimple, the current show runner of the AMC zombie series.

"As a TV show, all TV shows end, but I will say, I think it's possible that it could go on and on and on," Gimple said in a recent interview with Larry King (via Dark Horizons). "I think if it went ten years, if it went longer than that, it's possible that the cast — considering the amount of deaths on this cast and everything else — after ten, twelve years, it could shift into a whole new cast."

Ten, twelve years of "Walking Dead"? Crazy talk! Perhaps not so crazy when you consider that other live-action shows have lasted longer — not many, but some — and also not so crazy given Gimple's own admission that a ten-year "Walking Dead" plan would have to move on from the core cast members we've come to know and worry about, like Rick and Michonne and the rest.

Even if we don't see the flagship "Walking Dead" series last for more than ten years, chances are good that zombie fever will be with us for well over a decade, thanks to the "Walking Dead" spinoff series that's currently in the works. Who knows? Maybe we'll get a ...

Nicki Minaj Says ‘Hell No’ To Another ‘Super Bass’

There was a time when Nicki Minaj was defined as much by her image as by her bars — by her many alter-egos, her outlandish costumes and hairstyles, and her tendency to break into a British accent (or, on occasion, into tongues).

But that's all over now.

Wearing a classic black number courtesy of Alexander McQueen on Monday, the Cash Money MC told MTV News that she's getting back to her roots — both literally and figuratively.

"I went so far to the other side that there's only one place to go from there," Minaj told us while promoting "The Other Woman." "You can either continue doing costumes or you can just say, 'Hey guess what? This will shock them even more. Doing nothing will shock them even more.'"

The first sign of her transformation came at the start of 2013. After parting ways with her longtime hairstylist Terrence Davidson — the man behind that leopard-print wig in "Fly" and her candy-colored beehive bunNicki covered Elle in a more natural look — her face nearly bare of makeup and her natural hair color peeking through the platinum blonde.

Fast-forward one year, and she showed up to the MTV Movie Awards in another black McQueen dress — undoubtedly a deliberate departure from this.

It's all an effort, Nicki says, of "coming full circle," and the transformation isn't just a physical one -- as showcased on its aggressive lead singles like and "Chi-Raq," The Pink Print finds Nicki returning to her rap roots. In the two years since ...

Lorde’s Parents Totally Forced Her To Postpone An Australian Tour

This is probably one time when Lorde doesn't think her parents are being totally annoying for telling her what to do. The 17-year-old singer revealed on Monday night that she has been forced to postpone a planned tour of Australia that was slated to kick off on Thursday due to concerns over her health.

"In case you missed the announcement earlier, I have had to postpone my Australian shows because of a nasty chest infection," she told fans.

In a statement, her Melbourne-based promoter Frontier Touring explained, "It is with much regret that Frontier Touring announce that Lorde has had to postpone her upcoming Australian tour ... Under doctor's advice, Ella Yelich-O'Connor will return o New Zealand for immediate rest and recuperation in order to regain complete health and continue touring for the rest of the year."

Lorde performed at the Coachella Festival over the past two weekends on a bill that also included the return of hip-hop duo OutKast
. In another tweet she said she's been going "non-stop" since the Grammys in January and promised that she will "100% be back for this tour," likely in the fall.

In the Frontier statement, Lorde said it "breaks my heart" to postpone the shows. "The band and I absolutely love playing to Australian crowds," the New Zealand native said. "And it was not a decision we made lightly. I know I need to focus on getting better in order to perform at my best."

The Australian tour was to include two kick-off shows in Melbourne at Festival Hall, as well as ...

‘Game Of Thrones’ Author Reacts To ‘Disturbing’ Jaime-Cersei Scene

Warning: Spoilers for the latest "Game of Thrones" episode are ahead.

"Game of Thrones" suffers from "the butterfly effect." (Not to be confused with the film, "The Butterfly Effect," though perhaps there's a think-piece lurking there, too.) Author George R.R. Martin, writer of the novels that "Thrones" is based on, has discussed this phenomenon from time to time — that when the show deviates from the source material, even the tiniest change can cause a great ripple effect.

Case in point: "Breaker of Chains," the latest episode of "Thrones," and its depiction of Jaime raping Cersei in front of the corpse of their oldest son. Not even two full days since the episode aired, this scene stands out as one of the show's most debated and controversial changes from the books, with questions arising over the director's view of the scene, how it damages Jaime's supposed redemption arc (bearing in mind that this is a man who crippled a nine-year-old boy in the series premiere; there's only so much redemption to go around), and more.

It's also an instance of the Martin-labeled "butterfly effect." In a blog post, the writer explained:

"In the novels, Jaime is not present at Joffrey's death, and indeed, Cersei has been fearful that he is dead himself, that she has lost both the son and the father/lover/brother. And then suddenly Jaime is there before her. Maimed and changed, but Jaime nonetheless. Though the time and place is wildly inappropriate and Cersei is fearful of discovery, she is as hungry for him as ...
