Nirvana Could Be Coming To Broadway

Nirvana might be soon joining the ranks of Green Day and Carole King, hitting the Broadway stage for a musical that tells the tale of the seminal Seattle grunge band and its tragic frontman, Kurt Cobain.

"After being swarmed by tons of Nirvana fanmail and social media posts pushing for a musical to become a reality, both Frances [Bean Cobain] and I have thought long and hard and agreed that if we can reach up to the highest shelf and select a team of the greatest and most respected writers, producers and directors, then a Broadway musical is very likely to happen," Courtney Love told NME in a recent memorial story about the deceased icon.

"It's really scary because I don't have an agent, and I really need a heavy-hitter who can protect me from it all," she said, opining that for a musical to happen "there would have to be a story, and a great story, one that hasn't been told before," and asserting that the production would be, in part, for her daughter.

According to Love, she has been swarmed by entertainment business top brass and hopefuls alike when it comes to projects like the play and upcoming biopic and documentary. "It I wanted to date nothing but under-30, blond, beautiful, tortured boys — all these pretending-to-be-tortured actor guys — then I could have them on my arm every night, because they all wanna play Kurt," she said.

As the 25th anniversary of Cobain's death, April 5, approaches, his presence has been everywhere — from a comic ...

‘Game Of Thrones’ Season Four: Here’s What’s Happening In Westeros

In the real world, winter comes and winter goes. In Westeros, winter is ever-present — and viewers are about to reunite with the bitter cold of as the HBO fantasy series premieres its fourth season on Sunday (April 6).

When last we left the Seven Kingdoms, House Stark was in shambles, with the King in the North betrayed and beheaded by Walder Frey and Roose Bolton. In the aftermath of the Red Wedding, House Lannister appears to be the dominant force in Westeros, with Joffrey on the throne and Uncle Tywin pulling his strings as Hand of the King.

"Tywin is doing what he always does, which is basically maintaining and consolidating his position in this feudal society," Charles Dance told MTV news on the "Game of Thrones" premiere red carpet. "He takes advantage of every single opportunity that comes his way to do just that."

Tywin's daughter Cersei, meanwhile, isn't faring quite as well. Her son, Joffrey, is about to marry Margaery Tyrell, effectively ending whatever power Cersei has left as Queen Regent of Westeros.

"Cersei is very self-serving, if you hadn't noticed," Lena Headey said of her character. "She's trying to figure out what's going to work for her. The royal wedding is coming, and she's not too happy about that."

Equally unhappy is Cersei's betrothed, Loras Tyrell, best known in Westeros as the Knight of Flowers, and perhaps even more so for his secret relationship with the late Renly Baratheon.

"Loras is stuck between a rock and a hard place," Finn Jones, who plays Loras, said. "He has to get married ...

‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Exclusive: Electro Unchained

Peter Parker has plenty of powers, but is he any match for a vengeful soul with the power of a God?

We're about to find out, as Parker swings into battle against Electro in in theaters next month. Sony's superhero sequel, directed by Marc Webb, sees Spider-Man in action as a veteran web-slinger, but in over his head when matched against the electrically-charged menace played by Oscar winner Jamie Foxx.

Find out everything you need to know about Electro in today's new episode of

He's a Nobody
As is often the case with Spider-Man's enemies, the web-slinger's newest nemesis wasn't always such a bad guy. Think back on courteous Curt Connors before he became the Lizard — he wasn't so mean, was he? Likewise, before becoming Electro, Max Dillon is little more than a pocket-protected scientist, employed by Oscorp.

"In this movie, you get to see the villain [before he's the villain]," said Foxx. "He's Max Dillon. Just an electrical guy. He's sort of a nerd."

He's a Spider-Man Fan
Dillon isn't just a nerd in the scientific sense. He wouldn't be out of place at Comic-Con, waiting on an autograph line to geek out with his favorite hero: Spider-Man himself.

"At the beginning of the film, he's Spider-Man's greatest fan," said Webb. "In fact, he's obsessed with him."

Dillon's fandom swings to all new heights when he meets Spider-Man during a chance encounter. The wall-crawler tells Dillon that he's Spidey's eyes and ears on the ground — a great responsibility that greatly powers Dillon's ...

‘Captain America’ Directors Wanted To Make A Modern Superhero Movie

The leap from "Captain America: The First Avenger" to is a big one — certainly a greater shift from, say, "Iron Man" to "Iron Man 2" and "Thor" to "Thor: The Dark World."

Where the "Iron Man" and "Thor" franchises remain consistent in characters, world and tone from film to film, there are major departures between the first and second "Captain America" movies. That happens out of necessity, of course. At the end of "First Avenger," Steve Rogers is thawed out of ice and alive in the modern day, while the vast majority of his allies and enemies are either dead and gone, or virtually unrecognizable.

But bringing "Winter Soldier" into the modern world was a challenge that directors Joe and Anthony Russo were very much prepared to embrace. In fact, that's exactly what drew the Russos to "Captain America" and the Marvel Studios universe.

"We wanted current themes in the movie," Joe Russo told MTV News on the "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" red carpet in Hollywood last month. "We wanted current action in the film. As directors, we take our inspiration from the things that we love."

The action in "Winter Soldier" has been compared by some to films like "The Raid," the Indonesian martial arts movie that ranks as one of the most bone-crunchingly gruesome action movies out there. ("The Raid 2," in theaters now, makes "The Raid" look like "Bambi," by the way.) As for the themes and tone, "Winter Soldier" has been likened to the style of classic 1970s political thrillers like "3 Days of the ...

‘The Voice’ Recap: Did We Find One Direction’s Newest Member?

The second round of battles continued on "The Voice" Tuesday night (April 1) as eight more singers returned to the battle stage hoping for one last vocal victory.

Coaches Adam Levine, Shakira, Usher, and Blake Shelton found themselves with more tough decisions to make as the night's singers continued to surprise them, and even had them skeptical of their earthly existence.

Here's how the night went down:

This Is Sisaundra's World
Team Blake's Biff Gore and Sisaundra Lewis got the night started on an otherworldly note with their performance of James Brown's "It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World." Both soulful and powerhouse singers, Gore and Lewis gave passionate performances that resonated with the audience, receiving a standing ovation from all the coaches, and giving Usher chills. Levine was "80 percent sure [Lewis was] not from planet Earth," a sentiment shared by guest mentor Chris Martin at rehearsals. Although Gore's "timeless voice" was one to praise, Shelton declared Lewis' "nuclear bomb" of a voice the winner of the battle.

"Say Something" Comes Full Circle
Ddendyl and Deja Hall duked it out in the battle arena for a spot on Shakira's playoff team. Singing "Say Something," a song that was first debuted on season five of "The Voice," the two singers let power take a back seat, and channeled all the emotion needed for such a song. Their tender and soft voices resonated with the audience, and received a standing ovation from their coach.

Levine commended 16-year-old Hall for having a mature voice at such a young age, and Shelton praised both singers' "innocent and honest" voices. Shakira ...

‘Fantastic Four’ May Have Found Its Doctor Doom

Comic book fans, get pumped and prepare to meet your Doom.

The upcoming reboot of "Fantastic Four" has found its villain, with Toby Kebbell reportedly for the role of the evil, English-accented Doctor Doom. He'll be facing off against the Four come Summer 2015, when Mr. Fantastic, The Thing, The Human Torch and the Invisible Woman return to the big screen.

You probably know Kebbell best as That Guy From That Thing; he's got a long resume and a familiar face, if you can recognize it under the crazy hairpieces or wild facial hair he sports in most of his movies. Among other things, he's played:

- the dreadlocked Agenor in "Wrath of the Titans"

- the platinum-blonde, high-heeled magician who assaults Jay Baruchel in a men's room in "The Sorceror's Apprentice"

- the guy with the silly hat in "Prince of Persia"

- the gaunt, shades-wearing Johnny Quid from Guy Ritchie's "RocknRolla"

- this dude in "War Horse" (at least, we're pretty sure that's him.)

Kebbell can also be seen in the upcoming "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," although you won't actually, y'know, see him since he's playing one of the apes.

In "Fantastic Four," the actor will play Reed Richards' schoolmate Victor von Doom, the central antagonist who was portrayed in the 2005 "Fantastic Four" film by Julian McMahon. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kebbell was first pick for the role on a shortlist that also included Domhall Gleason and Jack Huston.

"Fantastic Four" will hit theaters in June 2015.
