New ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Photos Are, Well, Amazing: See For Yourself

The masterminds at Marvel really know how to keep a rabid fan base spellbound with anticipation, especially for .

Just one day after revealing epic baddie The Green Goblin's terrifying new look, the studio releases a treasure trove of movie stills and never-before-seen images of Peter Parker, Electro, The Rhino and Gobby in action via Entertainment Weekly.

Anchored by an image of Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy in the arms of Andrew Garfield's Spidey on the cover, the magazine spread includes vivid pictures from the film, including an action shot of The Rhino in full destruction mode on a New York City street. In the still, Giamatti can be seen in all of his evil splendor sandwiched by two overturned NYC taxis set ablaze.

In another shot, Dane DeHaan's Goblin is in full armor, soaring through the air at night down a New York street on his glider, with a wicked grin on his mug as he gets ready to swoop in to nab an alarmed Gwen Stacy. Spider-Man is shown in hot pursuit, though, to save his dearly beloved.

A hoodie-wearing Electro is channeling a sizeable amount of electricity in another photo, as smoke plumes behind him in front of a fire truck. No doubt he's set the whole city block on fire while trying to "catch a spider."

The final picture in the quartet features Gwen Stacy dangling from her boyfriend's webbing in what appears to be an expansive elevator shaft. Stacy showed her moxy in the first film helping Petey ...

How Young Thug Found Himself In Label Limbo

As his buzz continues to build, Young Thug's label situation has been a frequent topic of conversation among rap fans. Is he signed to Gucci Mane? Is he part of Future's Freebandz? What's his association with Young Money?

Some clarity has been provided by an extensive piece on Buzzfeed.

"He'd signed a contract...that he couldn't get out of," the story explains. "According to multiple sources, he felt ripped off and went rogue, seeking out new advisers, while those at the label that now owned a percentage of his income scratched their heads and waited."

It's a lot to sift through, with plenty of moving parts, but we've got what you need to know.

It starts before Thug was popping on a large scale thanks to his singles "Stoner" and "Danny Glover" — making fans of everyone from Drake to Kanye West along the way — when the Atlanta rapper was working closely with Gucci Mane. Though the terms are unknown, Thug signed a production deal with Gucci and began releasing music, including February 2013's 1017 Thug mixtape.

However, once, Gucci Mane was sent to jail in September, Thug began looking for a new deal; he thought his previous agreement was void, according to the story. This led to the 22-year-old's signing with Artist Partners Group, an Atlantic Records imprint, not long after Gucci was locked up.

This created a partnership between Gucci and APG that neither actually knew existed — since Thug didn't disclose, and maybe even didn't know, that he was still in business with Gucci. Until last year, Gucci ...

The Guy Who Made A Documentary About The National Doesn’t Listen To Their Music

Blood may be thicker than water, but there's only so far family loyalty will take you. In the case of the Berninger brothers — Matt is the lead singer for successful indie rock band The National, and younger brother Tom shot and directed a documentary while on the road with the band — that loyalty doesn't necessarily extend to musical tastes. Despite spending eight months on tour with The National and directing the aforementioned documentary, "Mistaken for Strangers," opening March 28, Tom admits to being more of a metal guy.

"I am a metal — I don't listen to much indie rock," Tom admitted in an interview with MTV News, sitting beside brother Matt. "My brother said in an interview, jokingly, that I don't listen to The National. I really don't for the most part, but I do and to be quite honest, I think The National are some of my favorite indie rock bands because I just feel like there's —"

"What are your other favorite indie rock bands?" Matt interjected. "Name one indie rock band in the world. Name one. He has no idea."

Just because The National isn't Tom's taste, however, doesn't mean the band didn't, in a way, bring the brothers together. "Mistaken for Strangers" is anything but your typical rock documentary; it would be better described as the story of two siblings, drastically different, getting to know one another as adults. Tom is out of work and down on his luck, while Matt's star is rising along with The National. In an attempt to get Tom out ...

Hear Every Chance The Rapper Song And Feature Released In 2014

Chance the Rapper's Acid Rap was easily one of the best projects of 2013 — yes, that's counting both mixtapes and albums — so demand for new material from the Chicago rapper is only increasing. There's an official album from Chance somewhere on the horizon, but there's been no shortage of music from him in the meantime.

In the past few months, his features have run the gamut, from a verse on Justin Bieber's "Confident," to Skrillex's "Coast is Clear" and SZA's "Child Play." There have also been a few live teasers, like the untitled track he performed featuring Jeremih, and then some raw solo releases like "Home Studio."

Check out a list of every Chance the Rapper song or collaboration that debuted in 2014 (so far).

Chance the Rapper -- "Unknown"
The details here are slim to none, but it still deserved to be included. Chance made a visit to Al Lindstrom's Toca Tuesdays show on Shade 45 this week, where he previewed a brand new track. He didn't say where it would end up, or who might be featured on it...but, doesn't that voice sound strangely like J.Cole on the ad-libs? No confirmation of course, just a theory for now.

Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment -- "Home Studio (Back Up In This Bitch)"
If you're familiar with Acid Rap, it's obvious that Chance masters the wacky voices and off-the-wall flows, but his most recent solo release is even more freewheeling. The song was recorded in his home studio (obviously) with instrumentals from his band the Social ...

Meet Sam Smith: The British Bartender Set To Take The ‘Saturday Night Live’ Stage

Two years ago, Sam Smith was working as a bartender in London. This weekend, he'll be the musical guest on You could call it a meteoric rise, though the way the 21-year-old singer describes his career, it's been anything but.

"I had my first manager when I was 12, went through some ups and downs, and a lot of false promises and as making music all through school, so, in a way, I feel like I've been doing this for a long time," he said. "But it all kind of kicked off two years ago, after I'd moved to London and was working in a bar ... I just met the right people."

Those people included songwriter Jimmy Napes, with whom he wrote "Lay Me Down," a song that serves as the debut single off his upcoming album In The Lonely Hour, and, of course, Guy and Howard Lawrence, the duo known as Disclosure, who featured him on their hit "Latch" ... and essentially kicked Smith's career into overdrive.

"Disclosure heard 'Lay Me Down,' and [after that] it was like a domino effect," Smith explained. "We wrote 'Latch' together, and then Naught Boy heard 'Latch' and we wrote 'La La La' together, and then I had a number-one single in the UK about five weeks ago."

Based on the success of "Latch" and "La La La," Smith played a handful of well-received shows here in the states, which lead to his current run of sold-out North American dates. And while his soulful, supple voice has earned him plenty of acclaim, ...

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V Release Date Pushed Back

It sounded too good to be true when Drake announced that Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V was set to drop May 5 — and it turns out, it was.

When asked about the rumored May 5 release date by NeverNotDope.com, Weezy's manager, Cortez Bryant, shot back quickly: "No," he assured. Then added, with a smile, "You'll see."

No matter what's causing the delay or when it will end, Bryant stressed that it'll be worth the wait. "Gonna be f---in' amazing," he said of the fifth and final installment in the Carter series. "It's gonna be that good."

It might not just be the last Carter, though. When Tunechi spoke with MTV News last month, he stressed that this would be his last solo effort — with one caveat: "Twenty-five to 35 million [dollars] would get me to do another solo album after this," he said. "I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes. And it's definitely the final Carter album." It doesn't sound like that means he has plans on leaving rapping behind altogether, thankfully. He said he'd grab the mic, "whenever I have to pitch in for a Young Money album, a Like Father, Like Son album and something like that and maybe something out the blue."

No new release date for Tha Carter V has been announced yet.

Young Money's latest compilation album, Young Money: Rise of an Empire, which features multiple appearances from Lil Wayne, was released March 18.
