‘LEGO Movie’: 4 Directions The Sequel Could Go In

SPOILERS FOR THE END OF "THE LEGO MOVIE" BELOW

"The LEGO Movie" has everything going for it that a movie could possibly need to get a sequel. The critics love it. It was a huge hit at the box office this past weekend. And there are endless merchandise opportunities. A follow-up makes complete business sense, but from a story perspective, where could a sequel take Emmett and Lucy née Wyldstyle?

"The LEGO" movie actually gives some potential roads that a sequel could eventually go down, some more obvious than others. Since we can't get enough of the molded-plastic adventure, just like the rest of the world, we've run down what we think a "LEGO Movie" sequel might include.

The Sister
The most obvious hand tip of where a sequel might be headed comes at the very end of "The LEGO Movie," when the creations of Finn's younger sister arrive to destroy Brickburg. If a sequel were to continue the story of the LEGOs in that particular basement, those monsters will certainly play a role.

Bionicle
The more badass arm of the LEGO universe had the briefest of cameos in the "LEGO Movie," mentioned as one of the worlds that didn't really matter, but considering the popularity of Bionicle just a few years ago, it seems like a logical place to go with the story. The line ran for ten years and became the obsession of a particular set of boys growing up.

Fabuland
The link between LEGO and Duplo popped up in small references in "The LEGO Movie," but we think that the retro brand has some ...

Fred Armisen’s New ‘Late Night’ Bandleader Gig: Six Reasons Why He Rules

Late night band leaders used to be good for one thing: smarmy small talk and way-too-loud guffaws at their host's lame Starbucks jokes.

But thanks to new "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon's hiring of the Roots in 2009 for "Late Night," now we expect the house band to rock a little bit. That's why we're so psyched that Fallon's pal and former "Saturday Night Live" castmate Seth Meyers has tapped another "SNL" alum to lead his "Late Night" band, the incredible Fred Armisen.

When the show debuts on February 24, the multi-talented Armisen will curate and lead the 8G band, which includes guitarist Seth Jabour (Les Savy Fav), bassist Syd Butler (Les Savy Fav), keyboardist Eli Janney (Girls Against Boys) and Beyoncé's touring drummer Kim Thompson. In addition to singing and playing guitar, Armisen will also get time off to continue making the world awesome on his other show,

But why Armisen? Aside from the fact that he totally ripped it as the drummer in 1990s Chicago punk band Trenchmouth and played percussion for the Blue Man Group, Armisen is also one of the funniest men around.

Here are six reasons why Armisen will totally kill his new gig:

1) Way before he became famous on "SNL," Armisen went to the South By Southwest Festival in 1988 and basically punk'd everyone by playing a variety of weird characters.

2) He had this epic drum-off with the Roots' Questlove on Fallon's show last January and he's posted a series of hilarious "Complicated Drumming" videos that help you learn beats like the "Polynesian Nightmare."

3) ...

Flappy Bird Pulled Because It’s Too ‘Addictive,’ Developer Says

Attention despondent Flappy Bird fans: Founder Dong Nguyen wasn't trying to harsh your avian vibe by nixing the popular game -- he was worried about your mental health.

"Flappy Bird was designed to play in a few minutes when you are relaxed," the Vietnamese developer told Forbes, who was not allowed to show Nguyen's face in their article. "But it happened to become an addictive product. I think it has become a problem. To solve that problem, it's best to take down Flappy Bird. It's gone forever."

"My life has not been as comfortable as I was before," he added, "I couldn't sleep."

Flappy Bird is — or was — a relatively straightforward game: Basically, players had to navigate a bird between Super Mario-style water pipes without crashing. The diversion was challenging, however, as the slightest graze of a pipe counted as a crash.

The game had been available for download for iOS and Android devices since May, but was burgeoning in popularity lately, garnering about $50,000 per day for Nguyen, according to The Verge.

"The reason Flappy Bird is so popular is that it happens to be something different from mobile games today, and is a really good game to compete against each other," Nguyen told the publication.

Given its immense popularity — and Nguyen's profits — fans were shocked when he decided to pull the game this past weekend, tweeting, "I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore."

Irate fans even threatened Nguyen's life on Twitter, ...

Lorde’s ‘Royals’ Gets A T-Painful Remix

T-Pain just can't help himself.

The Ace of Auto-Tune has returned from wherever he's been hiding (Tallahassee?) with an irony-free cover of Lorde's Grammy-winning which turns the original's anti-bling sentiments into a celebration of the extravagant life ... and a shout-out to everyone's favorite blended Canadian whiskey.

Officially dubbed the "T-Mix," Pain's version finds him reflecting on just how far he's come — "Seems like yesterday we was drinking Crown Royal," he robo croons — while, at the same time, marveling at his fleet of automobiles ("Look at all these Cadillacs on 20s!") and celebrating his rather, uh, unique fashion sensibilities ("Cowboy hat and a hubcap for a chain.")

He also shouts out Florida's capital and dismisses his inevitable detractors, declaring "We don't really give a f---/Now they trying to hate on us/And I just party on my bus," before finally proclaiming "Lemme see you get loose, girl/everything is on me ... let me live that fantasy!"

Oh, and just in case you were wondering, yes, the entire thing is lacquered in an Auto-Tuned sheen so thick that it's probably waterproof. It's a T-Pain track, after all. Money over everything!

In recent months, "Royals" has been re-worked by the likes of Rick Ross and Wale, neither of whom seemed to bother listening to the song's lyrics before adding their verses. Lorde has remained silent about those remixes ... a trend she's currently continuing with this new "T-Mix." Though we suspect her reaction probably looks something like this:

Tallahassee, what's up?
