Katy Perry Throws A Funeral In Latest ‘Roar’ Tease: Watch!

As Katy Perry's gold truck continues to make its way across the United States, the pop princess has unleashed yet another teaser for her upcoming single release,

Days after Katy confirmed the single's catty title and release date (August 12), the singer has dropped yet another short that proves she's out to put her Teenage Dream days behind her.

After setting her "California Gurls" wig on fire last Friday, the singer has thrown a little funeral for her former era in a teaser released Monday (August 5). In the clip, a priest reads off a funeral prayer as mourners (including two young women in "California Gurls"-esque purple wigs) gather, crying.

On top of the white casket, beside pink flowers, is a memento from Katy's last album: candy cane spinning wheels. As everyone around her seems visibly distraught at the service, Katy is there as well, but feeling something else entirely. The camera pans to her, she removes her sunglasses and gives the camera an "over it" smirk. And much like the mystery of what's inside that gold truck, Perry didn't reveal what's inside that casket either.

Fans are eagerly waiting to learn what's inside that sparkling gold truck. So far, it's made stops in Las Vegas, Missouri, Arizona, California (where it made its debut), Colorado and, most recently, Kansas. No word yet on when she will make the official reveal.

While she might be putting her Teenage Dream days behind her, she certainly isn't against working with the same team who helped craft some of that album's biggest hits. Perry ...

Oprah On Lindsay Lohan: ‘I Really Do Believe That She’s Ready’

NEW YORK — She's ushered the phrase "aha moment" into the dictionary and created a sanctuary for damaged celebs under the banner "fix my life." So it wasn't surprising that Oprah Winfrey sounded like just the person to bring some calm to the chaos that has become Lindsay Lohan's true Hollywood story.

But can Oprah "fix" Lohan, a once-promising movie star who lately seems to spend more time in rehab than running lines? On a warm Sunday afternoon at the stately Waldorf-Astoria, the talk-show guru was promoting her upcoming film "Lee Daniels' The Butler," and she told MTV News "you asked me at the right time" when we wondered why she was hopeful about the actress, who's nabbed a reality show on Winfrey's network, OWN.

"I just interviewed her [Saturday], and I was deeply moved by her desire to move forward in her life at this time," Winfrey said, before adding, "And I asked her, 'What's different about all the other times, 'cause it's been six times [in rehab] now, so what's different about this time?' "

Winfrey, who released a teaser for her August 18 sit-down with Lohan on Monday (August 5), wouldn't reveal the 26-year-old's response to her pointed question. Yet she was firm in telling us "I believe the answer," even invoking her own very human (and public) struggles with weight loss.

"I really do believe that she's ready," Winfrey continued. "This is what I want to say [to] everybody who wants to judge: Everybody has been in places in their life — how many times ...

Panic! At The Disco’s Spencer Smith Gets Clean: Watch His Interview Now

Last week, Panic! at the Disco drummer Spencer Smith came clean about his battles with addiction and his struggle to stay clean ... and now, he's talking about when those issues began: during the recording of the band's 2008 album Pretty. Odd.

In an exclusive interview with MTV News, Smith admitted that he started mixing alcohol and drugs partially in an attempt to channel his creativity ... but also to cope with the pressures of following up the Panic's massive A Fever You Can't Sweat Out debut. But, as he'd learn, what he thought was a quick fix was actually the beginning of a long fall.

"We weren't completely confident in what we were doing, and the reality set in of 'Oh God, we could just be this one-hit wonder, that could be the one record people remember us for.' It's more common than not; and I remember just being so stressed out," he said. "And then there's the whole idea of 'Oh, this makes you more creative.' It allows you to forget of their stresses outside of what they're focusing on, and they're able to [focus] for a brief period of time ... but then, 8 hours later, when everything wears off, you're almost in a worse place."

He'd continue to spiral for more than two years, becoming hooked on prescription medication after his father was diagnosed with ALS, before bottoming out with a pair of hospitalizations. During that time, he also managed to hide his addictions from his bandmates, and perfected the art of maintaining a very shaky ...

Ryan Gosling For Batman? ‘Man Of Steel 2’ Casting List Revealed

The hunt for the Batman has begun.

A new story in The Hollywood Reporter features a list of six actors that are supposedly the names already getting early consideration for the role of Bruce Wayne in Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" sequel that will find Batman and Superman facing off. The short list includes names like Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin, but comes with two caveats. Apparently, the script by David S. Goyer is not yet finished, and Snyder has only just started looking for actors.

But with such a wide variety of actors on the list, some clearly have better odds than others to eventually suit up as the new Batman, so we broke down the names to give you a better idea of how likely it is that we'll see them as the new Dark Knight come summer 2015.

Josh Brolin
The Hollywood Reporter cited two sources that claim that the "Gangster Squad" lead actor is currently the frontrunner for the role of Bruce Wanye in the "Man of Steel" sequel. Since his big comeback role in "No Country for Old Men," Brolin has had a difficult time establishing himself as a leading man — "Jonah Hex" and "Gangsters Squad," both from Warner Bros, failed to finds audiences — so the studio would have to trust in the power of the character and look past the actor's box office record. But Brolin throws himself hard at every role, so there's no doubt that his Batman would be a fierce one. Odds: 3 to 1

Ryan Gosling
One of these things is not ...

"Mix it all together in a vanilla-smelling studio. Pour some B-love into it. Stir it carefully with a producer's spoon until combined. Wait about a year," she wrote. "Pour the mixture into CD cases and cover the top with 'bonuses' stickers."

‘2 Guns’ Continues Comic Book Domination At Box Office

A mere two weeks after the conclusion of this year's San Diego Comic-Con, comics ruled the box office for what feels like the zillionth time since the new era of comic-based movies began. But this time, it was smaller comic publisher Boom! Studios that took the #1 spot with "2 Guns," starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg as a pair of undercovers whose bank robbery leads to all kinds of violence.

"2 Guns" made $27.4 million, the fifth-highest debut for Washington and sixth for Wahlberg, who has succeeded with action comedies before thanks to "The Other Guys," while the whole shoot-em-up-laugh-em-up bit was new to Washington. "Part of the excitement is the unknown," Washington recently told MTV News. "'Is this going to work? Can I be funny? How do I do that?' ... [Taking on comedy with a partner] actually makes you sharper, makes you prepare more, wakes you up."

While "2 Guns" took several liberties with the source material (which may or may not have contributed to its mixed reviews), was the most faithful adaptation of the mutant anti-hero yet, by most accounts. Last weekend's #1 film slipped just one spot with $21.7 million in its second weekend for a 10-day total of $95 million. The second weekend drop for the character-driven Wolvie flick was much less than that of the poorly received "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which opened bigger than "The Wolverine" but suffered greatly from poor word-of-mouth.

As Deadpool creator and Image Comics co-founder Rob Liefeld pointed in a Sunday morning tweet, even The Smurfs originated on ...

Lollapalooza 2013: 10 Awesome Moments You Missed

CHICAGO — Music festivals are all about "you totally had to be there" moments that only happen when 80,000 people get together for three days of music. And Lollapalooza 2013 was no different, with countless amazing memories provided by everyone from Nine Inch Nails to Kendrick Lamar, Mumford & Sons, Lana Del Rey, Haim and Icona Pop, among others.

Sunday's roster included daytime sets from sister act Tegan and Sara, British buzz band Alt-J, rapper 2 Chainz and Vampire Weekend. They helped close things down on a 72-hour blitz of strange, wonderful and funny moments that MTV News witnessed on the ground.

10 awesome things you missed at Lollapalooza:

Recipe for success: Kendrick Lamar told Chicago it was the "livest city" he's played on tour and he didn't scrimp on the energy during his set on Saturday. The amped audience provided him with a moment when, during "The Recipe," they lifted up a man in a wheelchair on their hands, which totally caught Kendrick's attention mid-song. "Oh s---, look at that dude in the wheelchair!" he said. "Ya'll some crazy mother---ers!" He took a break a short time later to give the crowd time to bring that man and another in a wheelchair up to the pit in front of the stage.

He wasn't alone in his wonder, because on Sunday night in the middle of a show that featured his "Beez in the Trap" and "Bandz a Make Her Dance" verses, as well as "I Luv Dem Strippers" and "Duffel Bag Boy," rapper 2 Chainz was blown away by the very ...
