One Direction Got ‘Comfortable’ Baring All For ‘This Is Us’

One Direction have pledged that their 3-D movie release, will let fans in on everything from the band's ups and downs to their ... bathroom activity.

So with cameras rolling on Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn's most intimate moments, did they have any reservations? "This Is Us" producer (and ) Ben Winston recently revealed to MTV News that the guys actually weren't too uptight when it came time to film.

"The advantage that we've got to make a film about these artists is that they grew up in front of the TV cameras. They became artists on the 'X Factor,' and therefore they were used to having cameras with them at all times," Winston explained.

"So I think they were comfortable with [sharing]. They've known me for quite a few years. They got to know [director] Morgan [Spurlock] really well and they got to know the [rest of the crew]. We're a close unit [and] team and, therefore, we all felt like part of the gang."

While Spurlock — whose credits include the documentaries "Super Size Me" and "Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden?" — might seem like an unusual choice to bring 1D's story to the big screen, Winston said he was the perfect director to capture the fellas behind One Direction. And though the movie will document their ups and the downs, Spurlock confirmed this week that those moments won't include Harry's 2012 romance with Taylor Swift.

For Winston, working with Spurlock was just "a great experience."

"I think Morgan has really enjoyed being ...

Jay Z, 2 Chainz Collaboration? ‘Maybe Next Time’?

2 Chainz's sophomore album will continue the saga he began on his debut last August, and he points out that there's some pretty literal meaning in the title B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time. In an effort to keep the focus on himself as an artist, the Atlanta rapper took Kanye's advice and passed up on a feature from Jay Z.

Though 2 Chainz was tight-lipped about the collaborations he'd actually confirmed for the album, he explains to MTV News' Sway Calloway that he decided not to lock down a feature from the God MC because it was too soon.

"I went to the Justin [Timberlake] and Jay show in London, so I hollered at Jay," Chainz explained. "And when me and 'Ye talked I said, 'You think I should put Jay on this song? And he was like, 'Me time. It's your time, maybe next time.'"

And just like that, he scratched the possible collaboration with Hov.

"For people that I'm huge fans of like Jay Z and Andre 3000, I feel like [there are] certain times in my career to do these songs," 2 Chainz explained. "You don't want them to be too early — you want them to be movies, you want them to be events. So for Me Time, I have a few features but I'm really showing my ass on this."

The Def Jam rapper revealed that the title track "Me Time" is one of the songs he's most proud of on the album, but don't expect him to reveal the tracklist or other preliminary information anytime soon.

"When I came ...

If Ed Sheeran’s Marriage Pact Isn’t With Taylor Swift, Who Is It?

Ed Sheeran has had his fair share of headlines written about his personal life.

From hooking up with Selena Gomez — "Well she's dating Bieber, isn't she?" Sheeran said — to nearly stabbing Taylor Swift with a — "It was just about to impale Taylor" — the "Everything Has Changed" singer is accustomed to seeing his name in the news.

"There's lots of stuff in the press and some of it's very unbelievable and some of it isn't," the VMA nominee said. "Some of it's true and some of it isn't."

Ed recently shot down the rumor where he and Red tourmate Taylor Swift have a fallback marriage pact. In the alleged deal, the pair promised to get married if they were both single by the age of 30.

"I don't know where that comes from, it's usually from a source and it's usually from someone who doesn't know the person," Sheeran explained.

But even though wedding bells might not be in Swift and Sheeran's future, that doesn't mean a similar deal hasn't been made by the redhead. "That story isn't true. I do have one of those pacts with a friend actually — my next door neighbor but it's [for when we're] 40," he admitted.

"We got the pact from 'Friends,' " Sheeran said, referring to an episode where four of the show's characters made similar commitments. "We watched 'Friends' and we were like 'oh that sounds like a good idea' but I don't really want to reproduce with you right now."

Britney Spears’ ‘Ooh La La’: How It Went From ‘Sex Drenched’ To ‘Smurfs Friendly’

Not only did Smurfette herself, Katy Perry, and her pal, songwriter Bonnie McKee, contribute some secret vocals to Britney Spears' "Smurfs 2" soundtrack tune, but it was McKee who insured that what they were singing was family friendly.

McKee told MTV News she tweaked the lyrics to take the song from PG-13 steamy to Rated G.

"I actually came in and was the doctor behind it. A lot of it was already written. It was a great song to begin with. ... They wanted it for the 'Smurfs' movie, and it was originally pretty sexy," McKee recalled about "Ooh La La," which features credits from the likes of Dr. Luke, Ammo and Cirkut as well as J Kash, Lola Blanc and Fransisca Hall. "I was like, 'OK, how do I take this sex-drenched song and make it Smurfs friendly?'

"That was kind of my task, but it still had to work at radio and be something that people would buy as a Britney Spears song because she's not a Smurf," she added. "So, it was just kind of fun to find double entendres to put in there and kind of trick the parents into thinking it's kid friendly."

Spears has noted that her sons, Smurfs fanatics Jayden and Sean, served as an inspiration for her to record the track for the movie. "I think Britney is in a different place, and she's a mother, and it seemed appropriate to kind of Smurf-ify the song," McKee said. "She's still a beautiful, sexy, fierce woman in charge, so we had to ...

Katy Perry Opens Up On Rihanna, ‘Dark’ Side Of Fame

We may not know a whole lot about Katy Perry's possible upcoming album, Prism, but we certainly now know a lot more about her personal life. Perry graces the September cover of Elle UK and opens up to the magazine about relationships, tabloid rumors and her longtime friendship with fellow pop star, Rihanna.

"I love her [Rihanna] and every time I see her, I'm reminded of the light that she has. There's a lot of dark in this business," Perry said before elaborating, without naming anyone specific. "I know a lot of people out there with the most detrimental entourages — they are the root of their demise. It's really unfortunate but you can't save these people. My days of celebrity saving are over."

Before she made that vow, she did find time to help one celebrity in time of need: Robert Pattinson. Following the breakup between Pattinson and his longtime girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, Perry was spotted with the "Twilight" actor, setting tabloids ablaze that the two were an item. Yet, it was Perry who put out the fire, setting the record straight with Stewart.

"I sent her a text message saying, 'I know you've seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I'm not that person,' " Perry said. "I'm just trying to be a friend to him, but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of tits."

Perry is now keeping the focus on her own relationship with fellow musician John Mayer, who she ...

Mumford & Sons Making Whiskey: Can Kanye’s Yeezus Schnapps Be Far Behind?

Mumford & Sons, England's leading purveyors of humility and bluegrass, are looking to branch out.

According to U.K. tabloid The Sun, the Mumfords are mulling the idea of distilling their own brand of whiskey — a spirit that doesn't really mesh all that well with humility, but goes hand-in-hand with bluegrass. Keyboardist Ben Lovett said, "It'll happen. It takes a few years to make, so we better get cracking!"

He's right, too: after grinding, mashing, fermenting and distilling, whiskey must age for a minimum of three years before it's ready for consumption. So while we can only speculate about what Mumford's custom-blend will taste like (beardy, with notes of flannel?) or what they'll call the brand (Dry No More? ), we've got to say we're impressed with their entrepreneurial flair.

Sure, everyone from Sammy Hagar to Marilyn Manson may have already beaten them to the booze business, but perhaps Mumford & Sons can inspire a whole new generation of musicians to create their own brands of liquor. Oh, and don't think we haven't already done the market research on this one:

One Direction: The lads could lend their name to a liqueur, similar to Pimm's, only sweeter. Maybe they call it Take Me Home ... I'm Drunk, or "What Makes You Beautiful (Is The High Alcohol Content Of This Drink?)" Either way, it's sure to be a hit with their fans — the ones old enough to drink, that is — and at the very least, it will tide us all over ...

Tomorrowland 2013: The Most ‘Mental’ Festival Yet?

It was a weekend of superheroes, volcanoes, waterfalls and a surprise visit from Slash. And now that we're back in the States, MTV News is looking back on just how epic Tomorrowland 2013 was.

Given the sheer size of the festival, It would probably be easier to point out who wasn't in Boom, Belgium, this weekend than who was. An incredible lineup of the world's biggest DJs entertained 180,000 electronic music junkies for three days of EDM madness.

"I think Tomorrowland to me is like the mother of creativity for all festivals," Nicky Romero told MTV News. "They always come up with an amazing stage, amazing people, amazing acts, and it's a really big honor to be here and to be a small part of this festival."

No stranger to the festival circuit, but new to Tomorrowland, U.K. producer Russ Chimes seemed shocked after his first glimpse at the main stage. "It's mental," said Chimes. "I've not been here before and we just went to see the main stage. Waterfalls, pyrotechnics and about a hundred thousand people."

Attendees stepped into a landscape of sight and sound featuring 15 stages on both land and water. Hosting a broad spectrum of dance music genres, guests spent the weekend at various stage events like the Garden of Madness, Carl Cox and Friends, and Super You & Me.

Saturday's highlights included an emotional set by Armin Van Buuren, who rushed to festival grounds only moments after his wife had given birth to a baby boy. The Dutch producer appeared teary-eyed as he began to play to thousands ...

One Direction Hiring! Looking For Someone To ‘Schedule’ The Partying

One Direction are on the road with their Take Me Home Tour and prepping a 2014 stadium jaunt, Where We Are. But if you think it's all parties and girls between gigs, the guys wants you to know that simply isn't the case.

Regarding whether they party on tour, Niall Horan, 19, tells British GQ, "We haven't been on the road long enough yet; ask me in a few months' time. All last year, we were touring in America so we were all under age, so we couldn't really party then, anyway." Louis Tomlinson is the only group member of legal partying age, 21, in the U.S.

Liam Payne adds, "Maybe we need someone to schedule that in for us," but explained that the guys hardly have time to think about girls while they are traveling. "Groupies? We don't have time to party! I'm not even single. This sort of talk will get me in trouble."

While it's unclear who the lucky lady is that Liam is passing time with these days — he split from his longtime girlfriend Danielle Peazer earlier this year — Tomlinson says that even if he wasn't dating college student Eleanor Calder, he wouldn't be into groupies: "The type of girls that would sleep with you in a heartbeat aren't the type of girls I'd want to take home anyway," he says.

Until they make time to hit the clubs, the guys are prepping the release of their 3-D film, "This Is Us," for August 30 and still working on their third "edgier" album, rumored ...
