The Wanted Celebrate The Party Life On ‘We Own The Night’

Justin Timberlake may want you to Take Back the Night, but The Wanted really want you to own it. On the season finale of their E! reality show, the cheeky fivesome dropped a teaser for their next single,

The track is an upbeat ditty that encapsulates the party boy reputation the group has acquired since rising up the boy band ranks. On one verse, the guys trade lines, singing, "When my time is over/ Lying in my grave/ Written on my tombstone, I want it to say/ This man was a legend/ A legend of his time/ When he was at a party/ The party never died."

During the chorus, the guys invite everyone to their party. "May your hearts be full like our drinks tonight/ May we sing and dance 'til we lose our minds/ We are only young if we seize the night/ Tonight we own the night."

Shortly after the song teaser premiered, Max George tweeted, "#WeOwnTheNight I think, is my favourite song we've ever done!:)))"

MTV News spoke to the band's manager, Scooter Braun, earlier this month about the track, the next single off the band's 2013 album release. Braun explained why it was the perfect follow-up to

"I love [it]. It is an anthem. It is an anthem for anyone who ever had a drink and a good time. It's a perfect Wanted song, but it's like ... it's them. It's a little British to it," Braun said of the track, slated for release by early August. "It's a ...

Exclusive: Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Gets Baz Luhrmann Review

Jay-Z has a long list of unlikely admirers following the release of his Magna Carta... Holy Grail. Now director Baz Luhrmann joins the likes of Tom Ford and Hov's R-Train homey Ellen Grossman as MCHG cheerleaders.

The famed film director has issued this Magna Carta synopsis to MTV News:

"The thing that has always stuck with me from my knowledge about the birth of hip hop was its natural lack of prejudice toward any genre of music. Having worked with this musician, artist, entrepreneur and 'serial collaborator' for nearly two years, I always remember him telling me that there's only good music and bad music. I heard some remarkable pieces from this new album early on but what is really exceptional about the whole work is its diversity. It's not so much that Jay plays by the rules, he just makes them up as he goes along. The pundits will of course pund but Jay just continues to move creatively and unexpectedly above and beyond it all."

Jay-Z Goes 'H.A.M.' On Twitter, Says Magna Carta May Be Fourth Best LP.

Luhrmann partnered with Hov on "The Great Gatsby" earlier this year, tasking the rap king with putting together a big-time soundtrack for the film. Jay rounded up Beyoncé, will.i.am, Fergie, Lana Del Rey and Jack White. "Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz were two of the first people to ever see a rough cut of the film," Luhrmann told MTV News in May, when he recalled first speaking to Jay about collaborating on the film. "He totally nailed that the ...

President Obama Makes Plea For Peace After George Zimmerman Acquittal

After George Zimmerman was found not guilty
on Saturday in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin
, President Obama reacted to the verdict with a plea for peace as protests broke out in a number of U.S. cities.

"The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America," the president said in a statement. "I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son."

Obama went on to make a push for compassion and another plea to stem the tide of gun violence in our nation. "We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this," he said. "As citizens, that's a job for all of us. That's the way to honor Trayvon Martin." The U.S. Justice Department's Civil Rights division said on Sunday that is reopening its probe into whether the shooting of Martin is prosecutable under any federal criminal civil rights statutes.

The verdict sparked spontaneous protests across the nation on Sunday and early Monday (July 15), the majority of which were peaceful.

In Los Angeles, some protesters hurled rocks, flashlight batteries and chunks of concrete at police, who responded by shooting bean bags and making at least nine arrests early Monday morning, according ...

Ed Sheeran Knows Justin Bieber’s Mop-Bucket ‘Struggle’

Ed Sheeran has had his share of fame. Although the fiery-haired British singer doesn't dish out Justin Bieber-levels of tabloid fodder, he still has to deal with the celebrity gossip here and there.

Ed was rumored to be romantically involved with Selena Gomez a few weeks ago. When MTV News asked him about the rumors, he merely brushed them off by bringing up her current boyfriend.

"Well she's dating Bieber, isn't she? And he's pissing in mop buckets," Sheeran said.

The mop-bucket incident? Ed's referring to the video tape of Bieber that surfaced online last week and subsequently went viral. The clip showed the 19-year-old urinating in a mop bucket at a restaurant, spraying cleaner on a photo of former President Bill Clinton and yelling "f--- Bill Clinton" at the picture.

But these reckless actions don't bother Sheeran one bit. In fact, he's got Bieber's back, having gone through a similar situation on tour.

Justin Bieber's Mom 'Not Naïve' About Son's Questionable Choices.

"I pissed in bin once," he admitted. "On a bus. Really late at night after a festival. So I can appreciate Bieber's struggle."

However, when it comes to bashing Bill, well, that's another story.

"I do like Bill Clinton though," the + singer said. "I met Bill Clinton; he's a very nice guy. Yeah, Bill Clinton's cool. But that's kind of like the equivalent of me sh--ing in a shoebox and saying I didn't like the Queen."

Not so fast, Sheeran. Remember, Bieber hails from the Great White North, so there's a better parallel out there — like peeing in the ...

Cory Monteith Honored By Gwyneth Paltrow And Matthew Morrison

The tributes to late "Glee" star Cory Monteith continued to pour in over the weekend, as friends and former co-stars mourned the shocking death
of the 31-year-old star.

As they expressed their sadness over his passing, authorities in Vancouver told E! News that they are fast-tracking their autopsy investigation due to the intense public interest. Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on July 13.

No foul play is expected in Monteith's death and the autopsy is slated to begin on Monday (July 15), according to a spokesman for the Vancouver Police Department.

Among those paying their respects was castmate Matthew Morrison, who sang a song for Monteith during his "Up Close and Personal With Matthew Morrison" show at 54 Below in New York on Sunday night.

According to US Magazine, Morrison dedicated the "A Chorus Line" song "What I Did For Love" to Monteith and struggled to contain his emotions during the performance.

Read tributes to Monteith from Nina Dobrev, Cheyene Jackson, Adam Shankman and Kim Kardashian.

"Matt came out before the show started and said, 'We lost a great young man too soon,'" a source told the magazine. "He said Cory was a beautiful person." Then he told the crowd, "You came out to see a show, I came out to do one, so let's honor Cory with this performance." Morrison apparently chose the song because Monteith's girlfriend, Lea Michele, performed the ballad during the season two "Glee" premiere.

Gwyneth Paltrow, who guest-starred on "Glee" as substitute teacher Holly Holliday, released a statement expressing her grief. ...

‘True Blood’ Star Deborah Ann Woll’s Postcard From Vamp Camp

Things went from bloody bad to wretchedly worse for Jessica Hamby during Sunday's "True Blood" episode, "F--- the Pain Away."

After accidentally eating the majority of Sheriff Bellefleur's faerie daughters during last week's "At Last," Jessica found herself in Governor Burrell's "vamp camp," along with many other beloved Bon Temps bloodsuckers. And, as her real-life alter ego, actress Deborah Ann Woll, told MTV News, her character is feeling — deeply — the pain and regret of her recent actions.

"Jessica is depressed, really, I think," Woll said. "She has a lot to grapple with, and I think Jessica probably feels like she deserves to be there. Of anyone, she brought this on herself. I think it's going to be a real struggle for her. We'll have to see if anyone's able to break her out of it."

To be fair, it's not entirely true that Jessica brought this all on herself, as it was the recently returned Sarah Newlin who called the LAVTF to apprehend the vampire after she turned up on Jason's doorstep (and after Sarah tried to help Jason find God through sex, of course). Despite all they've been through, Jason was the one Jessica turned to in her time of need, and though she's a bit preoccupied at the moment with being interned and all, Woll said she could see a romantic future for Jessica and Jason.

"I think that Jessica cares deeply about Jason, and I think they're a really good match, actually. They both struggle with this impulse thing and sort of giving into their deeper, darker desires, ...

Beyonce, Young Jeezy Honor Trayvon Martin With Silence And Song

After the news that George Zimmerman was found not guilty in the Trayvon Martin trial on Saturday night, Martin supporters and celebrities have been showing their opposition to the verdict. Since the jury's decision, the public outcries have not let up, with celebs like Beyoncé and others calling for peace.

Beyoncé halted the party during her Mrs. Carter Tour stop in Nashville last night to honor Martin, who was fatally shot February 26, 2012. "I'd like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon," the singer said. Her concert started 30 minutes after the verdict came out, the Associated Press reports. After the moment of silence, Bey launched into "I Will Always Love You," made famous by the late Whitney Houston. She then transitioned into her own hit, "Halo."

Over the night, Young Jeezy came out with a tribute of his own. He released a new track, "It's a Cold World" on his Facebook page in the early hours of Sunday (July 14) morning. "I am in no way shape, form, or fashion am trying to capitalize off of the latest series of events. These are my true feelings and my form of expression about it," he said.

Young Jeezy, along with other big hip-hop figures, had previously talked to MTV News around the 17-year-old's death last year. "It's something very near and dear to me because my son is around his age, so I just can't help but think," Young Jeezy said. "But he looks like an innocent kid. I understand the situation ...

The Wanted Were ‘Never Lonely’ On TV

If there is one thing we learned about it is that being in a boy band is all it's cracked up to be.

The Wanted took fans on a wild ride during the first season of their E! reality show, which concludes on Sunday (July 14), taking viewers behind the scenes as they moved into a mansion in Los Angeles to work on their upcoming album.

"The best part is you're never lonely. You always have someone to talk to," Jay McGuiness told MTV News about what it was like living with his bandmates. "Whether you are bored or sad or really happy ... and I just still find everyone really entertaining even if no one else does."

Yet, living together did have its downsides. The group had to deal with Nathan Sykes' vocal cord problems, Siva Kaneswaran's difficulty in balancing his friendship with his bandmates and his girlfriend, and Max George's excessive partying, which resulted in some of the most intense moments of the season.

"There were a couple moments that were quite heated," Max said. "But I think that's allowed. We are always together and to actually be in a house, it makes you clash a little bit."

And now that the first season of the reality show is behind them, The Wanted do admit that having cameras follow them at all hours of the day has changed them as a group, but for the better.

"It changed us a lot. It was kind of a glorified counseling session," Siva said. "When we had any problems, we ...
