2 Chainz Booked On Felony Narcotics Possession

While initial reports
indicated that 2 Chainz was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday after police found marijuana on him while he was trying to board a plane, an official report on the incident indicates he might be in bigger trouble.

A statement from LAX Airport Police public information officer Sergeant Belinda Nettles confirmed that Chainz (born Tauheed Epps) was also in possession of a bottle of promethazine and codeine at the time of his arrest.

"At approximately 1 p.m., Airport Police Officers responded for a narcotics investigation in the baggage check area of Terminal 5," read the report from Nettles. "Transportation Security Administration advised Airport Police officers they found marijuana and a bottle of promethazine with codeine (purple drink/syrup) in the checked bag of 35-year-old Tauheed Epps (2 Chainz), a resident of Riverdale, Georgia.

"Airport Police Officers investigation revealed Epps was on board an outbound flight, he was removed from the aircraft and arrested for California Penal Code Section 11350a H & S -- Possession of a controlled substance. Epps was transported to the Airport Police station for preliminary processing and transported to and booked at the LAPD Pacific Division Jail without incident."

Chainz was booked on a felony narcotics possession charge, according to TMZ. A spokesperson for the rapper could not be reached for comment at press time, at which point it was unclear if he'd been released from custody.

He denied the incident in an early morning tweet on Wednesday (June 12), writing, "Nobody took Anything from me, I didn't get shot, I'm not ...

‘The Voice’ Reveals Its Final Three

When "The Voice" revealed its final three contestants on Tuesday night, it was not without some shock and awe.

Fall Out Boy began the night performing their new single "Light 'Em Up" with Usher's affable misfit Michelle Chamuel. The stint, full of energy and a lot of pyro, proved Chamuel's ability to stand her own in the big leagues, as she held vocally strong with the seasoned band.

It wasn't a surprise when she was revealed as the first finalist to take part in the season 4 finale next week. "She's medicine for our country, our world," her doting coach Usher said about Chamuel earlier in the night.

It was also a celebration of contestants past as season 3 alumni Nicholas David, Tony Lucca and runner-up Terry McDermott returned to the stage with new singles. David reminded the audience why they fell in love with the smooth soul man as he sang "Say Goodbye" off his four-song EP due out that night. Former Mouseketeer Lucca not only performed his track "Never Gonna Let You Go," but also revealed he has been signed to coach Levine's 222 Records and will be touring with Maroon 5 in the fall. And last, but not least, McDermott's ever-pristine rock vocals shone through, as usual, in his new single, "Pictures," which already topped the iTunes rock charts.

With only two spots left and four contestants, everyone in question was on the edge of their seats. Shelton's front-runner was eventually announced as the second finalist, leaving his Swon Brothers, Levine's Amber Carrington, and Shakira's ...

‘Man Of Steel’: Amy Adams’ Real Life Might’ve Changed Lois Lane Forever

By her count, Amy Adams auditioned three separate times for the role of Lois Lane before landing the role in "Man of Steel," Zack Snyder's reimagining of the Superman origin story. Although she would have been thrilled to play the part before now, Adams told MTV News that she might have approached it differently — to her detriment — without the extra tries.

"I think that I was at the right time to try something new," Adams explained at the film's recent Los Angeles press day. "I think had I done it in the past I would have tried to emulate something I saw, or one of the comics. I would really be trying to emulate something as opposed to trying something new."

Adams credits David S. Goyer's script for giving her a new interpretation of the character to work with, but also indicated that becoming a mother helped alleviate concerns of being compared to the other actresses who inhabited the role. "Definitely the script was different — each character has such a humanity to it," she observed, "but also, where I am, being a mom, changed how I [played it]."

"Like, I still care what other people think," Adams admitted. "But it's not my main focus, where before I had a child, I was much more concerned with what people thought about me."

In the film, Lois tracks down Clark Kent at his childhood home in Smallville, but eventually decides not to reveal his identity — or his powers — to avoid the risk it may run in harming his ...

Kanye West Dubs Himself ‘Michael Jordan Of Music’ In Rare, Unapologetic <i>Times</i> Interview

It's not every day that you get a Kanye West interview. Though Yeezy has been mostly silent since 2010 (he has broken his no-media rule on a few occasions), the super-opinionated rap star gave an open and honest interview to the The New York Times in support of his June 18 album, Yeezus.

"I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means. I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period," he said to New York Times writer Jon Caramanica during a sit-down at executive producer Rick Rubin's Shangri-la Studio in Malibu, California.

The in-depth Q&A hit the Internet on Tuesday (June 11), a day after West played his new album for an all-star crowd that included Jay-Z, Beyoncé and football star Victor Cruz in a Manhattan open-air loading dock. West spent a great portion of the interview talking up Yeezus and its sonic sparseness. He credits Rubin with helping him strip the excess layers. "I'm still just a kid learning about minimalism, and he's a master of it. It's just really such a blessing, to be able to work with him," he said of the famed Def Jam co-founder and heavily decorated record producer.

We've Heard 'Yeezus', Here's What We Thought

Yeezy dubbed himself "the Michael Jordan of music" and likened his famed rants to when the basketball great would argue with referees. The way Kanye sees it, he's just trying to right the wrongs. "I don't know if this is statistically right, but I'm assuming ...

Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran Are ‘The Most Humble People,’ Austin Mahone Says

At just 17 years old, Austin Mahone has accomplished quite a lot. He became a YouTube sensation, just released his new single, "What About Love," and is now an opening act for Taylor Swift on her Red Tour.

The Red Tour, which Mahone will be on through August, marks the singer's first major tour, and so far, so good, he told MTV News.

"It's been amazing getting to go from city to city and perform for thousands of people," Mahone said during "Live From MTV." "It's an amazing feeling, and the energy is crazy."

Traveling from city to city makes it a little easier when you're with Swift, who was equally excited to have Mahone on board.

"She was like, 'I'm so glad to have you on tour. Thanks for being here,' Mahone said Swift told him before his first show. "I was like, 'No, thank you, this is a huge honor.' "

Swift and Mahone had met before. Earlier this year, the up-and-coming pop star told MTV News of coincidentally meeting Swift in a Nashville café before his career took off and snapping a photo for proof.

So did Taylor remember Austin? "I showed her the picture. I was like, 'Do you remember this?' And she was like, 'Yeah.' I'm like, 'No you don't.' "

Either way, Swift knows his name now, and she could even possibly collaborate on a song with Mahone — when he gets around to asking her. For now, he's busy learning a lot, not only from Swift, but from tourmate Ed Sheeran.

"It's crazy ...

Rihanna Sweetened Up Raunchy ‘This Is The End’ Cameo

Of the dozens of stars who appear in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's "This Is The End," Rihanna might be the most unexpected. Unlike Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson, the singer hardly has a comedic pedigree and seems about as far from their brand of puerile humor as a performer could get. But Craig Robinson told MTV News that she made some truly memorable contributions in a brief cameo.

"She just improvised and was fun. It was nice to be playing and singing with Rihanna," Robinson explained, but Rogen revealed there was a raunchier part of the story.

"You told her to take her panties off," Rogen said.

"Yeah, and she told me f--- off," Robinson countered.

Rogen enlisted a massive group of people to appear in the film, but he insisted that he wanted them to have fun and participate in only the ways they wanted, which is why he was reluctant to insist that the singer perform a tune on camera.

"I didn't want to ask her to sing," he admitted. "Me and Evan were like, should we ask her to sing? First, we didn't even want to put her in the scene with Craig singing, like it's too much — Rihanna singing — and we didn't want to ask her to sing. So Craig thankfully sang at her and she sang back."

Robinson said that she was a game collaborator. "She did a little move like, 'come on Craig.' But she couldn't have been sweeter. I had never met her before but the first thing she did was ...
