50 Cent Confesses Fat Joe Beef Went On Too Long

During the height of their well-publicized rap feud it didn't seem that 50 Cent and Fat Joe would ever reach an accord. Unfortunately it took the death of their mutual manager Chris Lighty to bring peace between the two titans. Looking back on it all, Fif says it should've ended a long time ago.

"Fat Joe, that was interesting. The competitive nature of hip-hop forces us to compete," 50 told MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz when he walked the red carpet for the premiere of Will and Jaden Smith's new sci-fi flick "After Earth" on Wednesday. "It was one of those things that it went on longer than it was supposed to with that one."

It all started in 2004 when 50 took exception to a Fat Joe guest appearance on Ja Rule's "New York" record. Fif and Rule were in the middle of a rap beef that at times got physical, so the G-Unit CEO took Joe's allegiance with Ja as disrespect. For years, 50 and Fat Joe would hurl insults back and forth, making dis songs like "Piggy Bank" and "My Fo Fo," but after Lighty passed away last August, the two buried the hatchet and performed together at last year's BET Hip-Hop Awards.

"I thought someone would die," Fat Joe told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway when he appeared on on May 23. "He had a lot of respect for Chris Lighty, I had a lot of respect and we went over there. We did the tribute together and no disrespect to him in the ...

Kendrick Lamar Recruited Mac Miller To Be His Official ‘Homey’

Kendrick Lamar and Mac Miller have been in the studio a lot lately, so what do they have cooking?

"Nothing," K-Dot told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway when he tried to get the good kid to open up about new collaborations after his performance at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, on May 18.

"Mac Miller's been in the studio with us, probably for the last two weeks," he confirmed of Mac's close ties to Kendrick's TDE and Black Hippy camp.

Miller is readying the release of his sophomore album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, but during the most recent studio sessions with Kendrick and the crew Mac isn't supplying verses, hooks or even beats. "Schoolboy Q working on his album and we just like to have good people around and joke and clown, Mac Miller," Lamar said. "That's Mac Miller's role in the studio... just to be the homey."

We can only imagine the jokes. When Q last came up to in March he playfully joked on a number of rappers, including his buddy Mac. After show hosts Sway Calloway and Nadeska Alexis showed Schoolboy a pic of Miller, he automatically responded: "The ugliest white man ever, Mac Miller."

All jokes aside, there are some upcoming TDE/Mac Miller collaborations in the works though. Both Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul will appear on Mac's Watching Movies, which drops on June 18. Ab lends his voice to "Matches," while Q contributes to a track titled "Gees."

Kim Kardashian Is ‘Pregnant And Flawless,’ Khloe Defends

While Khloe Kardashian has been sporting a fitter figure these days, pregnant big sister Kim has been getting a lot of criticism for her curvier one. And, Khloe has a message for all the online haters who are taking shots at Kim's growing baby bump, noting they are completely uncalled for.

And, it's not just because people are criticizing a pregnant woman, but because they are critiquing a woman's appearance in general.

"I'm very flattered about the compliments. I've had the worst criticism. And then I hate that if I'm being healthy, and it's taken six or eight months to get here, it's not anything fast, but then they want to take a dig at my sister at the same breath. And that's what irritates me. She's gorgeous, pregnant and flawless. I hate that. It is ridiculous," she told MTV News on Wednesday, when she stopped by to open up about the June 2 season premiere of

The E! star continued, "I think, like, whatever size you are, if you're comfortable that's beautiful. I don't think anyone should be cookie-cutter. That's not life and we're all different for a reason and we should embrace our differences. I find that beautiful."

Yeezus! Khloe Can't Wait For Kim's Baby Shower Sunday!

But, for those wondering how Khloe has gotten in shape, she opened up about her current workout and diet regime.

Martin Solveig Jokes He’ll ‘Kick Wolfgang Gartner’s Ass’ After Twitter Dis

When Wolfgang Gartner hit Twitter to rant about "lazy ass" DJs who get their set lists from Beatport's top 10, he didn't name names. But Gartner was venting frustration with a fellow performer's set at last weekend's Neon Desert Music Festival in El Paso, Texas, and Martin Solveig just happened to be playing about the same time.

The festival's headliner, Solveig (and the Internet, for that matter), did some quick detective work and figured out he was the target. Rather than take the insults, the French producer snapped back with his own Twitter response. So when MTV News caught up with Solveig on Thursday, we had to ask him about the online feud. What's he gonna do the next time he and Gartner wind up on the same lineup?

"Meet up and kick his ass," Solveig laughed. In all seriousness, though, the producer said the topic was an important discussion to have but that he just "didn't like the idea of being called out without being mentioned [by name]." He added, "There's a lot to say about this, and this is where Twitter sometimes gets frustrating because 140 characters is too short to really be able to explain this. But that's the only thing I didn't like; the point is interesting and taken."

"I play the same gigs, get the same money, same slots, and I don't play any of those tracks," Gartner wrote last week. In response Solveig explained via tweet that he was first and foremost "a crowd-pleaser" who tries to deliver for fans that ...

Justin Bieber’s Car Troubles Escalate: Spitting, Speeding And Bad Influences

Another day, another report of vehicular drama. Justin Bieber has a fleet of cars so large he could drive a different one every day of the week and not have to repeat. But lately it's his white Ferrari that seems to be causing the 19-year-old pop superstar the most headaches.

For the second time this week, police responded to reports of the $200,000 car speeding around in the singer's gated Calabasas, California, community on Wednesday, adding to a long list of JB's recent motor migraines.

According to TMZ, Bieber's hot ride was pulled over by police for speeding just days after he allegedly ripped around the community in the same car in an incident that drew the ire of former NFL player Keyshawn Johnson.

And, like that episode, it appears that perhaps Justin was not behind the wheel at the time. TMZ reported that Bieber friend Lil Twist was driving the car when it zoomed out of the gates of the community on Wednesday, and he was let off with a warning.

Twist was also behind the wheel of another of Justin's cars, his all-chrome Fisker Karma, when he dinged it up outside a San Fernando Valley liquor store earlier this year (and again in March when it was pulled over for an unsafe lane change), as well as in January when a paparazzo was run over and killed
while trying to shoot a picture of the Ferrari. Bieber's reps have said that he was not driving the car during the Memorial Day incident that prompted a near-confrontation with ...

Tupac Would Have ‘Outshined’ ‘Menace II Society,’ Film’s Director Says

The power of wasn't just in the film's gritty story and shocking violence; the Hughes Brothers put together a rich cast that turned around two break-out performances from actors Tyrin Turner and Larenz Tate, who played Caine and O-Dog, respectively.

A young Jada Pinkett-Smith, Samuel L. Jackson, Clifton Powell, Charles S. Dutton, Bill Duke and MC Eiht rounded out the cast. Tupac Shakur was also cast for the 1993 classic, but a well-documented fight between the fiery rapper/actor and Allen Hughes put the brakes on that.

"We at a table reading, and Tupac's just annoyed. We're trying to read and he's just annoyed," Turner recalled to "RapFix Live" when he and Tate appeared to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the film.

Originally 'Pac was picked to play Sharif, a college-bound good kid trapped in the confines of a violence-plagued South Central Los Angeles. Shakur craved a bigger, meatier role, but he and the film's directors didn't see eye to eye. "The director and him had words and Tupac was no longer a part of it," Turner continued.

During a 1993 episode of "Yo! MTV Raps," 'Pac told the world that he "beat up the director of 'Menace II Society,'" referring to Allen Hughes. Turner remembers being on the set of Spice 1's "Trigga Gots No Heart" and seeing the rapper and numerous members of 'Pac's entourage beating on the director. "As we start getting closer... Allen is on the ground or whatever, but it was like he was fighting like 30 people," Turner remembered. "I'm not saying Tupac ...

Will And Jaden Smith: ‘After Earth’ Explores Their Father-Son Issues

Cypher Raige is a tough act to follow. The General of Nova Prime's Ranger Corps is a war hero, one of few men who can "ghost," or shut out fear during combat against alien creatures called Ursas. That's a difficult legacy to live up to for his son, Kitai Raige, a Ranger in training.

It's not an unfamiliar dynamic for the actors playing the elder and junior Raige in the new M. Night Shyamalan science-fiction film hitting theaters this weekend. Will Smith stars as Cypher, and his son, Jaden Smith, plays his son, Kitai. The Smiths aren't used to battling for their lives on a far-future Earth where the entire planet has evolved to destroy them, no, but there's enough in common to make "After Earth" an intensely personal experience for one of Hollywood's most famous father-son pairs.

Size Doesn't Matter
"After Earth" takes place 1,000 years after mankind abandoned an increasingly uninhabitable Earth in favor of a new planet called Nova Prime. The legendary Cypher and his young and eager son Kitai set out to repair their strained relationship by taking a voyage to another planet. On the way, their ship crash-lands on Earth, the most dangerous place in the known universe. With Cypher injured, it's up to Kitai to set off and find a way to contact their home world and leave Earth alive.

It's a massive setting with huge stakes, but it's just window dressing, according to the Smiths. In fact, "After Earth" was originally conceived by the father-son duo as a survival tale set in ...
