J. Cole Features TLC On Born Sinner, But No Jay-Z?

Fans were pleasantly surprised to hear Missy Elliott on "Nobody's Perfect" from J. Cole's debut album, and for his upcoming sophomore effort the Roc Nation MC will be gathering some more surprising guests — but none of them will be rapping.

"I got TLC on the album, T-Boz and Chilli," Cole said of Born Sinner during an interview with London's BBC 1Xtra.

It's not every day that the iconic singing group get together. After Left Eye passed away in 2002 the group has managed to release just one album, so getting them was no easy feat. "That's management right there, shout out to Bystorm, they made that happen. The same thing with Missy Elliott, sometimes you need management to pull those favors, to make those calls," Cole explained to Fuse on Thursday. "They got me in touch, they loved the song, they loved the music.

"It's like my favorites, I wanted to go and get my favorites and then have them do the things that I love them for doing... [TLC] is doing what I love them for," he continued.

Miguel also appears on Born Sinner's lead single "Power Trip," but Cole says there will be no MCs contributing bars to his June 18 work. "Nobody else other than J. Cole is rapping on the album, but there's some great features," he said.

Cole's first album featured only two spitters: Drake on "In the Morning" and Jay-Z on "Nice Watch," but unless Hov is singing or doing some sort of spoken word it looks like the Roc Nation CEO ...

‘Fast & Furious 6’: The Reviews Are In!

When "The Fast and the Furious" debuted in 2001, few expected that it would evolve into a full-fledged franchise — much less one that lasted 12 years and produced five sequels (and counting). "Fast & Furious 6" arrives in theaters with enormously high expectations, thanks in no small part to the convergence of stars and supporting players from literally all of the previous installments, including the anachronistic "Tokyo Drift."

But does this new film deserve the kind of excitement that it's receiving from fans? MTV assembled a cross section of reviews from critics across the web who seem to think that the franchise's tank is still full of surprises.

How Far Has 'Fast and the Furious' Come By Part Six?
"The series under Justin Lin (who has directed the last four) is completely aware of how silly it is.The series leans into the over the top action and the goofy soap opera elements in a way that's not quite tongue-in-cheek — Lin is never making fun of the movies or the characters — but that is in a spirit of having an awful lot of fun with it." — Devin Faraci, Badass Digest

Most Importantly, How's The Action?
"Here's a movie that could easily have been dialogue-free. And probably would have been better for it. But the volume is a key element, especially for those who find the sound of revved-up engines evocative." — Claudia Puig, USA Today

Kim Kardashian To Find Out Baby’s Gender On ‘Keeping Up’

Kim Kardashian might not let cameras roll when she gives birth, but they were when she found out the gender of her baby with Kanye West.

In a tease for the June 2 premiere of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," viewers are taken into the examining room the moment the reality starlet learned if she is having a boy or girl. Surrounded by Khloe, Kourtney and Kris, Kim gets her sonogram, and the tease cuts off just after the mama Kris says, "Do you see a little pee-pee?"

Ryan Seacrest, who executive produces the show, confirms that the full reveal will take place on the show's season premiere next Sunday. The same day the teaser hit the Web, little sister Khloe released promo pics from the new season, featuring the entire clan looking fresh and preppy in a garden setting. Kanye is not featured in any of the shots.

In another tease released earlier this week, Kim exposes her growing baby bump and wonders just how she gained so much weight, asking, "How the f--- did I get like this?" Kim has faced lots of criticism about her weight gain over the course of her pregnancy, but also has received support from other celebrities including British pop singer Cheryl Cole.

Kim is reportedly due in July and invites have been sent out for her . When MTV News spoke to Kim's little sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, they shared they weren't quite ready to be aunts to Baby Kimye just yet.

As I Lay Dying Singer Was ‘On Steroids’ Before Hiring Hitman

As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis was using steroids at the time that he allegedly hired a hitman to kill his ex-wife, according to the rocker's lawyer. The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that during a hearing on Thursday seeking a reduction in his $3 million bail, Lambesis' lawyer said the pumped-up hard rocker's decision-making was severely impacted by his drug use.

Lambesis has been in jail since May 7, when he was arrested for allegedly trying to hired a hitman, who it turned out was an undercover cop, to kill his ex-wife, Meggan. During the hearing, the judge agreed to reduce Lambesis' bail to $2 million, which lawyer Thomas Warwick said was still to high for his client. Warwick has been seeking bail of $250,000 for Lambesis, who has pleaded not guilty
to a single count of solicitation of murder.

Warwick said Lambesis had gotten into body building and became a paid spokesman for nutritional supplements, which at some point also included taking steroids. "His thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use," Warwick told the judge. According to the United States Anti-Doping Agency, among the psychological effects of taking anabolic steroids are increased aggressiveness and sexual appetite, which can sometimes result in abnormal sexual and criminal behavior, often referred to as "roid rage."

Prosecutors claim that on May 7 Lambesis hired a man named "Red," who he believed was a contract killer, but was really an undercover officer, because he wanted his wife "gone." He allegedly handed the man an envelope with $1,000 cash, as well ...

‘Return Of The Jedi’ Turns 30: Secrets Of Ewok Language Revealed!

As sound designer for (and every "Star Wars" film in the franchise), Ben Burtt was tasked with inventing a language for the tiny heroic creatures known as Ewoks. But on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Episode VI, Burtt has revealed that creation of Ewokese began well before filming on the 1983 movie.

"George Lucas' vision always included the development of sound prior to shooting, which is very unusual," he explained to MTV News, referring to the fact that with most movies, sound isn't developed until post-production. "One of the reasons was that you wanted to know something about the language before filming, so that the performers playing the Ewoks, and the director as well, would have some idea how to conduct the scene."

The designer had formalized his method for crafting alien language while working on "Episode IV." (In Lucas' 1977 film, fans hear Chewbacca's distinctive Wookieespeak for the first time.) "[By] 'Jedi,' we had somewhat refined the approach as to how I would create languages," said Butt, whose legendary sound work can be heard in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek Into Darkness," among other box-office hits. "It usually meant doing some research and finding an existing language or several languages which were exotic and interesting, something that our audience — 99 percent of them — would never understand."

Burtt would start the process by listening to different language recordings from around the world. For the Ewoks, however, he was looking for a sound that evoked the furry creatures' playfulness. "I'd find something that was fun and interesting and ...

Katy Perry Apologizes After Chief Keef Threatens Her On Twitter

Katy Perry set off fireworks and angered Chief Keef by dissing his music, but now the pop queen has apologized to the 17-year-old Chicago rapper.

It all started on Tuesday when the "Wide Awake" singer logged onto Twitter to voice her opinion about Keef's music. "Just heard a new song on the radio called 'I hate being sober' I now have serious doubt for the world," she wrote.

Keef caught wind of the jab a few days later, and on Thursday night he got fans everywhere talking with his foul-mouthed and threatening response. "Dat bitch Katy Perry Can Suck Skin Off Of my Di--," he wrote. "Ill Smack The Sh-- out her."

He also revealed plans to drop a Katy dis song, but Katy's apology may force the rapper to have a change of heart. "Mr. Keef! I'm sorry if I offended you. I heard a lot of people guesting on the song & didn't even know it was you in particular," she responded, referencing the Wiz Khalifa and 50 Cent features on Keef's "Hate Bein' Sober." "Actually... I'm a fan of your 'Don't Like' video tbh. I was really just having a general opinion on our generations desire to be constantly intoxicated... Believe me, I'm a lover not a hater. x"

The controversial rapper didn't say if he accepts the apology or not, but he did retweet Katy's apology. And he seemed to move on quickly, as a few hours later he expressed his lust for NFL star Reggie Bush's fiancée, Lilit Avag.

Jennifer Hudson Returning To ‘American Idol’ As Judge?

It takes one to know one, and maybe that's why "American Idol" producers are reportedly courting former contestant Jennifer Hudson to sit at the judges' table next season.

According to The Wrap, the Oscar and Grammy winner is in talks to judge during season 13. Hudson, who competed on the third season, appeared on the show's season finale last week alongside winner Candice Glover.

"The show's producers feel they've lost their core audience," the source adds. "And they want to bring back former contestants in order to tell their core audience, 'We love you.' They know they've made some major mistakes over the past few seasons and they want to make it right with their fans."

OG judge Randy Jackson has confirmed he's leaving the show, and it's still unclear if Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey or Keith Urban will be back for more. The show is reportedly looking to go back to a three-judge format. The show's first-ever winner, Kelly Clarkson, is also rumored for a judging spot on the show. Vulture further reports that other former idols like Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert are also possibilities, though nothing has been confirmed by their reps.

Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters last week that "everything is on the table."

The latest round of names comes just weeks after it was rumored that A-listers like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Pink and Sean "Diddy" Combs might be in the running for a gig. Experts who spoke to MTV News note that it's going to take something ...

‘Fast & Furious 6’ Expected To Lap ‘Hangover III’ At Box Office

They say the third time's the charm, but a certain "6" is expected to speed past the competition into first place this weekend.

Blockbuster season is officially in full swing. has made more than $1 billion worldwide. . Now it's time for and to have their respective moments. The latest installment in the car-heavy action franchise is expected to cruise to #1, leaving the Wolf Pack settling for #2.

"Epic" will try to take some of that family business that "The Croods" has been hogging, while filmmaker Richard Linklater's "Before Midnight" (the followup to the acclaimed "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset") will open in limited release.

" 'Fast & Furious 6' arrives on the scene packing more punch than any franchise rightfully should on its sixth lap," Exhibitor Relations senior box-office analyst Jeff Bock told MTV News. " But this isn't your average Part 6, is it? '2 Fast 2 Furious' didn't have Vin Diesel and 'Tokyo Drift' didn't have either of the stars, so '6' really is '4' with Paul Walker and Diesel."

"While '6' usually translates to franchise fatigue, this series doesn't play by the rules, and Universal has done a great job beefing up each installment," he continued. "In 'Fast Five,' they added Dwayne Johnson and in '6' they brought Michelle Rodriguez's character back from the dead. Plus, instead of a car-racing series, 'Fast & Furious' has morphed into a heist-film franchise, extending its audience and lengthening its play-ability."

"Fast Five" grossed $626 million worldwide. "Fast & Furious 6" should collect more than $100 ...

‘Hangover Part III’: Is This Really The End?

This weekend, you'll be able to catch the final chapter of "The Hangover" saga in theaters, but once the credits start to roll, you see that there's nothing that could stop a potential fourth installment. So is "The Hangover Part III" really the last time we'll see the Wolfpack?

They seem to think so.

When MTV News spoke with Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and director Todd Phillips in Las Vegas, they spoke conclusively about their characters getting completely messed up and forgetting what happened the night before.

"You just realize that this is the story that we wanted to tell," Phillips said. "This feels like a completion of our trilogy that's really about friendship and mayhem put together. It just feels like the right thing."

But to finish the story that started in there was one character that needed significant development for there to be any ending: Galifianakis' lovable buffoon Alan.

What Are Critics Saying About 'Hangover III'?

"We just wanted to make sure it felt like closure. The key to that was feeling that the Alan character had moved on because he was the only loose thread with these guys," Phillips said. "He was one that you'd be most worried about and going, 'I wonder if that guy is OK?' We wanted to make sure that he felt like he was in good hands or at least equally messed up hands."

Cooper explained that the focus on Alan's character and withdrawing from the first two films' formulas helped "Part III" actually feel like a finale. "It's a departure from the ...

Amanda Bynes Arrested For Drug Possession

Troubled actress Amanda Bynes was arrested at her New York apartment on Thursday after police claim that she tried to destroy evidence of her drug use.

Officers were called to the former child star's midtown apartment Thursday after the doorman at her building called to report that she was smoking marijuana in the lobby, acting erratically and talking to herself. When the officers arrived, she returned to her 36th floor apartment, according to NBC New York.

Officers entered her apartment, which reportedly reeked of marijuana, and they saw a bong inside after Bynes, 26, opened the door for them. She allegedly then grabbed the smoking device and tossed it out of the window. She was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, felony tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana.

TMZ reported that Bynes, who was wearing a platinum blonde wig at the time of her arrest, got agitated and yelled, "Don't you know who I am?"

Before being booked, Bynes was taken to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and is expected to appear in court on Friday. Bynes pleaded no contest in California two weeks ago to driving on a suspended license and was sentenced to three years summary probation and still has a DUI charge pending in Beverly Hills.

It has been a rough year so far for former Nickelodeon star Bynes, who has raised eyebrows
with a series of nude photos, sexual online flirting with rapper Drake and a Twitter war with former Playboy Playmate and VH1 star Jenny McCarthy.
