The Wanted Walk Like ‘NSYNC In ‘Walks Like Rihanna’ Video

The Wanted may like a girl who but in their brand-new video for the track, the fivesome are walking a heck of a lot like their boy-band predecessors.

As the clip opens, the guys are introduced to their surprisingly foxy music video director. They proceed to pitch her three ideas for the video, lifted from three iconic boy band clips from the past.

The first video parodied, dubbed as "fun and quirky," is NYSYNC's puppet-themed clip for "Bye Bye Bye." While The Wanted do their best to hang around like marionettes, the director tries to show them how to dance like puppets, leaving the crew unimpressed. Turns out, "she can't sing; she can't dance."

Next up, going for a more "mature" video, the guys pitch BSB's treatment from their "I Want It That Way" clip. Donned up in the video's signature white outfits and blowing kisses to the camera like they are actually BSB, the guys might attempt to prove they want it that way, but she clearly doesn't.

Finally, they pay homage to fellow U.K. boy banders Take That, playing off their rain-soaked, black-and-white clip for "Back For Good." But that idea also doesn't make the final cut.

In the end, after several attempts to embody the essences of these other bands, she has the right idea. She puts them in an empty warehouse, and strutting like Rihanna, she enters as the video vixen the video so needed all along.

"Walks Like Rihanna" is the lead single off The Wanted's 2013 album release. The video was shot in L.A. before bandmate ...

As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis Arrested In Murder-For-Hire Plot

As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis was arrested Tuesday (May 7) after allegedly soliciting an undercover police officer to have his estranged wife killed.

According to Reuters, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department learned that Lambesis sought an accomplice to kill his wife, and he was taken into custody in Oceanside, California, after reaching out to the detective.

"The information came to us late last week," San Diego County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Jan Caldwell told Reuters. "We acted quickly on it. I believe that we averted a great tragedy."

Lambesis has said he considers himself to be a Christian and acknowledges that he finds inspiration for lyrical content from biblical texts. He is incredibly prolific, having released eight albums with As I Lay Dying between 2001 and 2012, as well as five releases via his solo side project Austrian Death Machine, where he sings and performs on all instruments. He also produced 11 albums for other artists and is part owner of Lambesis Studios.

Representatives from Metal Blade, the record label for As I Lay Dying, were not available for comment. There is no word on whether Lambesis already has an attorney.

In 2008, As I Lay Dying were nominated for the Best Metal Performance Grammy for their song "Nothing Left." As I Lay Dying's 2012 album Awakened peaked at #11 on the Billboard albums chart, while 2010's The Powerless Rise hit #10, and 2007's An Ocean Between Us debuted at #8.

Back in '07, Lambesis talked to MTV News about Ocean and how, lyrically, it deals with the idea that ...

Selena Gomez’s ‘Come & Get It’ Video Premieres!

It's odd to focus on something subtle in a video like Selena Gomez's "Come & Get It," but I'm about to do just that; because mixed in with all the shots of sweeping vistas, come-hither dance moves and, uh, tablas, there's a dress. It's red, and slightly tattered, and, perhaps I'm reading too much into it here, but it seems to be a direct callback to a similarly-tattered getup Britney Spears wore in her iconic ... aka the coming-of-age clip against which all others shall be judged.

I'm not accusing Gomez of biting Britney's style; rather, in her brand-new clip, which premiered Tuesday night on MTV, she's paying homage to the time-honored tradition that Spears — not to mention a myriad of other teen-pop queens — have endured: namely, the point where they shed their squeaky-clean veneers and get Dirrty (all the X-Tina fans out there are slowly nodding in unison).

It's a perilous transformation, to be certain, one that few have been able to pull off without suffering the slings and arrows of critics, some of whom actually make a valid point or two. And to her credit, Selena's not growing up quite to the degree of her Disney contemporary Vanessa Hudgens — witness her recent clip for proof — and as such, she's likely to make it through (relatively) unscathed.

Because no matter how straightforward the song may be, the "Come & Get It" video goes to great lengths to be symbolic ... sort of: Each shot of lightning, flames or fields drives home the ...

Mac Miller Heads Out Of This World On Space Migration Tour

Mac Miller plans to watch a couple of movies with the sound off when he drops his sophomore LP on June 18, but one week after that, he will turn the music loud when he hits the road for his 38-city Space Migration Tour.

"I'm excited that we figured out a safe way to bring a large group of people to a different planet," Mac said in a press release issued to MTV News on Tuesday (May 7) about the out-of-this-world tour. "After hundreds of years of research, our team has developed a safe and reliable form of transportation that will bring tourists to a world of discovery and opportunity."

For his latest run, Mac will be joined by Odd Future associates Vince Staples and the Internet, plus Chicago newcomer Chance the Rapper. Earl Sweatshirt, Meek Mill and Action Bronson will show up for a few dates too. Miller will use the Space Migration run to introduce artists from his own REMember Music record label, so fans can expect to see Njomza, Dylan Reynolds, the Come-Up, Hardo, Choo Jackson and Primavera Vills as well. Tickets go on sale May 10.

Last month, Mac released "S.D.S.," the first single and video for Watching Movies with the Sound Off. In the clip, Miller donned a cape and superhero tights and did battle with the diabolical Red Dot (played by Corey Feldman). It was a fitting introduction for the otherworldly sound Mac plans to bring to the new LP, on which he handled a fair share of the production.

"On Blue Slide Park, the core ...
