Kanye West knows a thing or two about launching a fashion line, so when he heard that Kim Kardashian’s little sisters were ready to get their feet wet in the fashion industry, he offered to help out the teen moguls.
“He’s such a creative person and he’s really cool and it’s, like, very cool to have him in the family now. He’s such a nice guy,” Kylie Jenner told Fashionista.com. She and sister Kendall design a line for PacSun as well as a jewelry line for retailer Nordstrom.
She added, “A couple of days ago, I was in the kitchen and so was he, and I was just talking about my clothing line and how excited I was and he was like, ‘Your clothing line — I can help you and design. We can do this!’ Like, whatever, because he’s just kind of about taking over the world with fashion pretty much, and that’s really inspiring.”
When MTV News chatted with the Jenner sisters earlier this summer, they shared with us what was inspiring them, aside from the rapper. Kylie suggested that fashionistas should be sporting “cut-out dresses, shorts. I live in shorts during the summer.”
It’s not the first time that Kanye has put his stamp on the Kardashian’s sense of style. Last year, Kim admitted that Yeezy worked with her stylist to change up her look.
“It was beyond what you see on a TV show in a couple of clips,” she shared last September, referring to Kanye’s makeover of Kim’s closet on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” “So I introduced my stylist into the mix so we can kind of collaborate on a more sophisticated look on something that I felt kind of reflects my own personality and the changes that I’ve had in my life.”
Yeezy will be on hand at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards where he will take the stage to perform his Yeezus track “Black Skinhead.” The show, taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, goes live on August 25.
