Kesha’s Mom Reportedly Sued By Dr. Luke

Two weeks in, and the legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke shows no sign of letting up.

TMZ reports that the “Timber” singer’s longtime producer filed a new lawsuit on Tuesday (October 28) against Pebe Sebert, Kesha’s mother.

According to TMZ, the suit alleges that Pebe pushed Kesha to sue Luke as a means of breaking her daughter’s contract.

Kesha filed a lawsuit against Luke on October 14, claiming he had physically, emotionally and sexually abused her throughout their years working together. Days later, Luke countersued, alleging that the singer’s suit was part of a smear campaign bent on defaming his character.

Dr. Luke, born Lukasz Gottwald, now seeks $75K in damages from Pebe Sebert. TMZ reports that he seeks additional punitive damages, as well.

The suit also references a 2011 deposition from an unrelated court case in which Kesha and her mother swore, under oath, that Luke had “never made sexual advances” at her.

Earlier this year, Pebe made public claims that Dr. Luke, who executive-produced Kesha’s second album, Warrior, was largely responsible for the eating disorder for which her daughter sought treatment back in January.

“Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff. She was exercising and dieting and ultimately doing everything she could, but not getting thin fast enough,” Kesha’s mother told People. “And that’s when she first became bulimic.”

Bad at filling out bios seeks same.
