Miley Cyrus said she “won’t stop,” and her big week just keeps rolling on. Following her appearance as host and performer on a 90-minute deluxe edition of Cyrus’ MTV documentary, aired on Sunday, two days before Bangerz hits stores.
Featuring never-before-seen footage and extended scenes, the documentary delves further into Miley’s movement, from picking her track list, to rehearsing for the VMAs and prepping her red-carpet look. ‘I Want To Come Out Of A Teddy Bear For Christ’s Sake’
Her Video Music Awards performance was been the most talked-about in recent memory, and judging from the exclusive footage of her and Robin Thicke rehearsing, they had every intention to shock audiences.
“I’m a freak. I want to come out of a teddy bear for Christ’s sake — with a hand — I’m just a freak,” she said in the documentary. “I don’t think it’s that I’m smarter than anyone else, it’s not that I think, ‘Oh, you don’t get it.’ It’s just who I am and if I’m gonna perform, I want things around me that I like.”
Her ‘Yeah, I’m That Bitch’ Style
Miley’s style can be summed up in one word: vintage. The “Wrecking Ball” singer showed off her profound love for vintage clothes from Versace to Saint Laurent, and while many might assume its Miley’s stylist calling the shots on what she should wear, it was all up to her when it came time to picking out her VMA red-carpet outfit.
“My stylist was irritated with me. I picked out what I was going to wear on the red carpet this year because I want to be like, ‘Yeah, I’m that bitch, I picked out what I wore, I went shopping with Pharrell and this is what I bought,” Miley explained of her Dolce & Gabbana look. “That outfit, I feel like again that’s something that separates me, because no other girl is like, ‘I went shopping; this is vintage; this is one of a kind, this is from the year I was born.’ I went shopping with Pharrell when I started working on my record, it’s come full circle.”

While Miley may have had her doubts about lead single when it was first released to radio, when it came to the Diane Martel-directed video, there were no doubts.
“The best thing I’ve done in my career is the ‘We Can’t Stop’ music video. It was spontaneous. It was all really real…” Cyrus said. “I’m not someone who does the same thing as everybody else, like when I dance I don’t want to be doing the same thing as everybody else. I don’t want the girls to be doing the same thing. I want it to feel like a party.”
