Nicki Minaj Locks In Another #1 With ‘The Other Woman’—See Her List Of Wins

Nicki Minaj is hard at work on her upcoming third album, but she already has a great reason to celebrate, even before that project drops. This weekend, Minaj made her big screen debut in the Fox comedy “The Other Woman,” which beat out “Captain American” to land at #1 with big box office sales. Let’s just add that to Nicki’s ever-growing list of #1 achievements. See a few more milestones below.

Pink Friday Climbed To #1
Nicki’s debut Pink Friday couldn’t clinch the #1 spot during its first week on the charts, thanks to some stiff competition from Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album, but better late than never, right? Pink Friday remained in the top 10 consistently for weeks, finally securing #1 as the record hit the one million sales mark. And that was just the beginning.

Roman Reloaded Debuted At #1
There was no waiting period with Nicki’s second album. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded debuted at #1 on the charts, with 253, 000 copies sold in week one–surpassing the original sales projections.

“Ice Age” Crushed The Box Office At #1
“The Other Woman” gave us a first glimpse of Nicki Minaj on the big screen, but it wasn’t actually her first film to hit #1. In 2012, Nicki (and fellow YMCMB rapper, Drake) were both featured as animated characters in “Ice Age: Continental Drift.” The family-friendly flick made a big showing during its first weekend at the box office, with $46 million in sales.

A #1 Fragrance With Pink Friday
It was only a matter of time until fans wanted to smell like their Queen Barb, too. Last year Nicki Minaj unveiled her first signature fragrance called “Pink Friday.” It was a big hit with fans, and shortly after it’s debut, the Queens rapper thanked her fans for making the fragrance a top-seller. “I never dreamed I’d have a fragrance as a lil black girl in Queens, New York that was born in Trinidad,” Nicki gushed to her loyal followers on Instagram. “My fans made me #1 in Macy’s with the 1st fragrance and the rest is history. Love u guys.”

With an album due out this year, and her eye on more Hollywood roles, Nicki will likely have plenty more milestones to add to her list of #1′s soon enough.

“I am going on auditions, and I’m trying to find the right role with the right director and the right writers,” she told MTV News of her acting career. “I want to be part of something from the beginning stage this time, and I want the role to be custom-made for me.”
