Living with your friends can be challenging at times, but living with your friends and your girlfriend may be impossible.
The Wanted‘s Siva Kaneswaran knows that all too well as he brought along his girlfriend Nareesha to live with the group while they filmed the E! reality show “The Wanted Life.”
In the first episode, the guys move into a Los Angeles mansion to work on their upcoming album, and in between recording tracks and dealing with Nathan Sykes’ vocal problems, they also do a lot of partying.
The all-night house parties didn’t agree with Siva’s girlfriend, which, at times, made it challenging for him to balance his relationship and time with the group.
“It was difficult because you’re living with filth pots sometimes,” Kaneswaran told MTV News. “But you have to put a line there and know not what to cross. I think the first few weeks were difficult, but after that, it went really smooth. We all partied a lot and broke the house.”
However, things weren’t as complicated for Tom Parker, whose girlfriend Kelsey spent her time partying with the group.
“I found it fairly easy, to be honest,” Parker said of living with his girlfriend and bandmates. “With Kelsey, she has quite a laddish attitude, so she goes out enjoys herself and drinks. I think it shows the difference between both relationships quite a lot. Siva and Nareesha are a bit more… like to do their own thing, a bit more reserved. Me and Kelsey like to go out [with the group] and enjoy ourselves a little bit.”
And even though the other three members of The Wanted didn’t have to deal with relationship drama, they certainly saw their fair share of action, at the expense of the house’s hot tub.
“The hot tub was abused. It probably needs counseling before someone entered it again,” Jay McGuiness said. “They probably just burned it. If this hot tub could talk, it would just cry.”
