2 Chainz ‘Tired’ Of Feeling Like ‘America’s Most Wanted’ After Tour Bus Arrest

When 2 Chainz signed on to be a part of Lil Wayne’s America’s Most Wanted Tour, he probably didn’t think that it would actually bring on run-ins with the police. Following last night’s tour stop in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Chainz and 10 members of his entourage were arrested Thursday morning (August 22) after a morning-long stand-off in his tour bus.

A representative from the Oklahoma Police Department told MTV News that after midnight, the rapper’s bus was pulled over and the driver was arrested after cops suspected that there was drug use onboard. 2 Chainz and his team locked the door to the bus and refused to let the police inside unless they secured a search warrant. The police then towed the bus with Chainz inside and arrested the rapper this morning shortly after 7 a.m. All this, a day after it was announced that Chainz is scheduled to make a special appearance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 25.

“Don’t ask me ask OKC police department what they found on the bus,,,,u won’t get an answer because nuthn was found,” 2 Chainz tweeted this afternoon. “This sh– will make u go crazy , our bus gets pulled 1 a week and they always say I smell weed I nned to search ur bus. Sh– gets tiring.”

Chainz and his team were arrested on an obstructed charge and were booked on Thursday afternoon, USA Today reported. The police said that after they conducted their search they found narcotics on the bus, but cannot determine who they belong to.

Undeterred, Chainz is making his way to New York City to take part of a scheduled media listening session for his sophomore album B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time. Despite the damper on his day, the rapper posted the track list for the September 10 album on Instagram. The 17-track LP will feature contributions from Drake, Lil Wayne, Ma$e and Fergie.
