2 Chainz Denies Robbery Reports

After shutting down Summer Jam in New Jersey, 2 Chainz headed out to San Francisco’s festival, but his trip didn’t seem to go as smoothly as it did on the East Coast. According to San Francisco police, the Atlanta rapper and members of his entourage were robbed at gunpoint.

Although there were conflicting reports about whether 2 Chainz was actually robbed, a San Francisco Police Department official confirmed to MTV News that the rapper born Tauheed Epps is listed as a victim in the case.

The official told MTV News that 2 Chainz and five members of his entourage were approached by three men, one of whom had a handgun, and fired a shot on the 800 block of Howard Street in San Francisco. The suspects fled after the incident. Police confirmed that no one was injured, but that “Mr. Epps is listed as a victim of a stolen wallet containing credit cards, U.S. currency and a cell phone.”

Fans flooded 2 Chainz’s timeline with questions about the robbery, finally prompting him to respond with a denial. “Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch , money etc. 2 answer that question,” he tweeted, even addressing rumors that he was shot. “Rule#2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies.”

“Rule# 3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran , best smoke in the world. 2 blessed 2 stress,” he added. “Haha timeline filled with people that want me f—ed up . I tell them, get in line u can’t stop this sh–. Ha.”
