Author James Dashner made his name with the best-selling “Maze Runner” series – soon to be a blockbuster movie starring “Teen Wolf” hunk Dylan O’Brien – but that doesn’t mean he’s resting on his well deserved laurels.
In 2013, Dashner launched the first installment in a new series, “The Mortality Doctrine,” titled “The Eye Of The Minds.” Set in a world taken over by virtual reality gaming, the series perfectly captured Dashner’s hallmarks for inventiveness, teen dialogue and an ability to add twists and turns like no other author.
The highly anticipated sequel, “The Rule Of Thoughts,” will hit stores on August 26, but in advance MTV News can exclusively bring you the first 27 pages of the book, before you can pick it up anywhere else. And speaking of which, you can pick up “The Eye Of Minds” in paperback now.
