Demi Lovato fans in Baltimore, Maryland, were treated to the first stop on her world tour Saturday night. But for those of you not in the Old Line State over the weekend, not to worry because the “Really Don’t Care” singer has 26 more stops between now and October 27 when the show wraps in Brooklyn, NY.
When MTV News caught up with the pop star during VMA week, she described the Demi World Tour as “bigger and more interactive” than anything you’ve seen from her before and promised a show you won’t want to miss.
“The Neon Lights Tour was amazing and I had so much fun, but I’m constantly thinking, ‘How can I step up my game and how can I take my shows to the next level?’ so that’s what we’re doing with this tour,” she explained. “I’m changing some of the songs, adding new songs, adding new covers [like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”]; I just want it to be fun and I want it to be everything that I didn’t get to do with the Neon Lights Tour.”
In addition to Demi, Lovatics will hear from a number of opening acts including MKTO (“Love them, I’ve known Tony [Oller from the duo] since I was 14.”), Christina Perry (“I’ve wanted to tour with her for so long but she was always working and so it never lined up.”) and a few other artists like Becky G., who’ll be popping up from time to time. But what we’re all dying to know is if bestie and creative director of her Neon Lights Tour, Nick Jonas, will be making any surprise appearances along the way.

“I think definitely at some point in the tour Nick will join but I know he’s working on a bunch of new stuff for his new music and I’m just obsessed with it, I couldn’t be more happy for him,” she said.
