Lady Gaga Set To Perform In Tel Aviv Despite Israeli-Palestine Conflict

Lady Gaga will take the stage as planned tonight (September 13) at Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park, performing hits from her latest album amidst conflict between Israel and Palestine, which are currently operating under a cease-fire agreement.

Earlier last week Gaga released a 10 second video titled “Lady Gaga’s Message For Israel,” where she said “Shalom” and expressed her excitement to make the stop in Israel on her international “artRave: The ARTPOP Ball” tour.

Mother Monster tweeted her excitement for the show, wanting nothing but “Love and Happiness” for the night.

Tonight’s concert takes place just 10 days before the release of Cheek To Cheek, the jazz album she recorded with Tony Bennett. Bennett will also be in Tel Aviv, performing just 24 hours after Gaga on Sunday evening, September 14 at the Mann Auditorium.

While there is no indication the two will make one if not two surprise appearances at each other’s performances, the logistics seem to favor the odds of a quick rendition of “Anything Goes.”

Earlier this summer everal high profile acts such as Lana Del Rey, Megadeth, Cee Lo Green and the Backstreet Boys all canceled shows.

Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys posted a video apologizing to fans, but said the band tentatively plans to postpone performances til Spring 2015.

Meanwhile, the Little Monsters are more excited than ever for tonight’s show, posting shots of their elaborate outfits on Twitter:
