Last night, August Alsina’s video for “No Love (Remix)” featuring Nicki Minaj dropped. To promote the video, Nicki shared a bunch of photos of her video wardrobe, including this cutout vest and skirt.

The vest appears to be made of straight-up metal, which, considering Nicki’s affinity for chain mail isn’t that surprising, but that skirt? That’s an entirely new approach to cutouts.
The skirt is made up of two panels of white fabric joined together by some pretty sparse netting. It is remarkably high-waisted considering how barely-existent it is—there is, like, one inch of skin between the top of the skirt and the bottom of her white croptop.
But(t), of course, in typical Nicki fashion, there is more to this outfit than immediately meets the eye. Much like her tiny turtleneck from over the weekend, at certain angles, this skirt reveals an entirely unexpected element.

See? Were you expecting that? I wasn’t, TBH. Does this really count a a skirt anymore? To me, this feels like there’s more of an absence of fabric than actual fabric present. When does a skirt lose its identity, y’know?
