On the season finale of “Teen Mom 2,” Jenelle and Nathan spoke with Barbara about a plan to regain custody of Jace. And in the bonus scene below, the young couple visits a park with the kids and reflects on the conversation.
“He needs to be in a stable environment so he does have the best shot at life, and I think we can provide that stable family for him,” says Nathan, who believes the chat with Jenelle’s mom went better than he’d expected. One reason: Barbara agreed that they wouldn’t need to go to court to begin the transition period of obtaining Jace.
Jenelle agrees with her beau and points out that she sees a change in the five-year-old when he’s spending time with them. “He listens to us very well, and every time he’s with us, he’s always on his best behavior. But when he’s over at my mom’s, he’s not.”
