TWFanmily, you might want to brace yourselves: Even though the Wanted‘s third studio album, Word of Mouth, was previously slated to drop in September, the boys have announced, via a video message to fans, that the disc has been pushed back to November 4.
After reassuring fans that they have been hard at work on Word of Mouth, the band’s Tom Parker said forlornly, “Unfortunately, and this is where the bad news comes in, guys … unfortunately the album date for Word of Mouth has to go back to the fourth of November as our worldwide date.”
Nathan Sykes quickly jumped in to assure fans that they won’t be left empty-handed or, rather, -earred, this month. “We hear your frustrations and we see on Twitter and online that you’re being so patient and to say thank you we want to give you a brand-new single,” he said. “You can hear our brand-new song ‘Show Me Love’ on all your favorite radio stations from tomorrow morning.”
The band then tweeted an image of the blinged-out album cover.
We’ve already heard singles like the stripped-down and the anthemic from the upcoming record.
“They had a bunch of records that wasn’t them and now we have the album that we feel like is them,” their manager Scooter Braun recently told MTV News. We’ll just have to wait and see how “Show Me Love” fits into that equation when it drops Tuesday (September 10) morning.
