Austin Mahone Already Knows Exactly Where His Next Award Is Going

Austin Mahone might still be hard at work on his debut album, but he’s got something very few up-and-comers have: a Moonman. And now the VMA winner is hoping to bring more hardware home when he heads out to the 2013 MTV EMA taking place November 10 in Amsterdam.

The 17-year-old singer, who took home the Moonman for Artist to Watch back in August, will face stiff competition at the big show next month, where he’s up for Best Push.

“It’s definitely an amazing feeling, just being nominated for that is incredible,” he told MTV News last week, sharing that he hopes his Mahomies vote often enough to help him nab the prize. “Hopefully my fans will help me get that one too and we’ll just keep going hard. And I wouldn’t be doing this without them, so I owe it all to my fans.”

Mahone’s going up against Karmin, Rudimental, Imagine Dragons, A$AP Rocky, Bastille, Bridgit Mendler, Tom Odell, Iggy Azalea, Icona Pop and Twenty One Pilots. In addition to peeping Mahone at the show, fans can also catch a performance from Katy Perry, appearances from Ron Burgundy as well as updates from backstage host Ariana Grande.

And, if the teen singer should win, he revealed he’s got the perfect place for his newest prize. “I don’t have my VMA yet, but when I get it I will probably put it in my shower or my bathroom, somewhere in the bathroom,” he said. “And then the EMA, if I get that one, hopefully maybe next to my bed so I can see it every morning when I wake up.”
