Miley Cyrus Bringing Bangerz To Amsterdam For 2013 MTV EMA

Miley Cyrus is already shaking things up at home. Now she’s ready to do the same overseas, when she hits the stage at the 2013MTV EMA in Amsterdam.

Just months after she made her unforgettable mark on the 2013 Video Music Awards, it was confirmed on Thursday (October 17) that the “We Can’t Stop” singer would perform at the awards show. But, of course, Miley being Miley, she didn’t just announce her upcoming appearance any old way. Smilers should be sure to check out the promo clip featuring LMFAO’s RedFoo … and pay very close attention. (‘Foo will serve as the official emcee of the “crazy party” that is the EMA.)

In the clip, the Party-Rocker is seen trying to get through security at the Amsterdam airport. A security guard rifles through his suitcase, and after pulling out a bunch of head-scratching items, including a disco ball, an alligator and his underwear, he comes across one really unexpected piece of carry-on luggage.

Miley’s performance will be her second time hitting the EMA stage, and the news comes just one day after her album, Bangerz landed at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, selling 270,000 copies in its first week.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer is nominated for four awards at the show. She joins previously announced performers Katy Perry and the Killers, as well as backstage host Ariana Grande and presenter/legendary “newscaster” Ron Burgundy (a.k.a. Will Ferrell). Additional performers and presenters will be announced later on.

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead all nominees with five nods each, followed by Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley and Robin Thicke, who are up for four awards. Taylor Swift, One Direction, Eminem and Jay Z are also in the running for multiple awards. Fans in the United States (and the rest of the world) can vote now in EMA categories like Best Song, Best Pop and Biggest Fans by visiting EMA.MTV.com or, on mobile phones, M.MTVEMA.com Voting is open now, with polls closing at 11:59 CET on Friday, November 8.

Be sure to catch the 2013 MTV EMA on Sunday, November 10, beginning at 7 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
