Trick-or-treaters will be hitting the streets for Halloween and while they’re filling pillow cases with candy, chances are they’ll run into costumes that range from creative to sexy to (in rare cases) very modest.
But if there’s one costume combo we can guarantee you’ll encounter this Halloween, it’s Miley Cyrus’ and Robin Thicke‘s looks from the 2013 VMAs.
Some celebs got into character early, with Paris Hilton donning Miley’s bear onesie, while “Fashion Police” host Joan Rivers sported Miley’s nude latex two-piece.
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and wife Crystal Harris also got in on the action, as the magazine mogul traded in his red robe for Thicke’s black-and-white stripe suit.
But if you’re planning to don Thicke’s suit on Halloween and want to take cues from the man himself, well you’re in luck, because MTV News talked to Thicke, who gave one very specific tip for nailing his VMA inspired look.
“It’s obviously all about the hair,”Thicke said at GQ‘s sixth annual Gentlemen’s Ball earlier this month. “That’s the most important thing,” added Thicke, who’ll perform, along with Cyrus, at the 2013 MTV EMA in Amsterdam. (The show airs on MTV Sunday, November 10 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.)
As for the “Blurred Lines” singer, his Halloween plans include trick-or-treating with wife Paula Patton and his son, Julian, who wants to be a tiger. Thicke admitted he won’t be bothered passing by fans portraying him on October 31.
“I’m very flattered,” Thicke said. “We had no idea all of that would happen in the aftermath, but I’m very flattered by it all.”
